Meet the Business Owner
Becky S.
Business Owner
Becky Satterfield, pastry chef and proprietor of Satterfield’s Restaurant, hails from Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Like many southerners, Becky came to cooking honestly: first by watching her mother and grandmother; then by cracking eggs or helping stir ingredients; then by cooking right alongside them, learning their methods, and cultivating a love for making people happy via good food.
After working in the legal and financial fields in Houston, she returned to Alabama with her husband and daughter. Once Milyn graduated high school, Becky decided to add a bit of formality to her home-grown culinary education by attending Culinard to study pastry arts. She started out catering parties for friends and neighbors and the rest is history. When not overseeing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, you’ll find Becky honing her Scrabble skills or doting on her beloved schnauzers, Mimi and Tricia and grand-dog Chaboochie.
