I you want high falutent this is the place — if you have more money than brains this is the place — be careful they will try to sell you every product in the place. All personnel «work» on multiple clients at the same time — read NO PERSONAL ATTENTION. Ms. Margot is about the $$$$$ plain and simple

Had a fantastic pedicure with Tori. Service was impeccable. Choice of polishes were great and her technique was amazing. Love that they allowed us to sit in a small lounge to rest while our polishes dried. Margot came and introduced herself. Very kind. Beautiful spa.

The services a eh nice, but that is expected for a spa that charges what Margot does. The one issue I have had repeatedly is whenever I go to check out my billies always higher that nit should be. The last times. Was there I booked the «rose and champagne» mani/​pedi. I never got a glass of champagne or ever saw any roses. I was still charged for the service. I am not the only customer that has had such an experience here. It a shame that they have to cheat people to make their money.

I’ve been going to Margot’s for many years, getting advice on skin care products, make-​up tips, and services. If you are looking to pamper someone — or even yourself — Margot’s is THE best spa you could choose! Margot and her staff are very professional, well-​trained, and genuinely want you to have a memorable experience! There’s a reason they have earned so many awards!

The prices and ambiance do not match the service that is provided. I was extremely disappointed with my experience. The service was poor and the technician was rude and blamed me for her inabilities. I will say that once I voiced a concern that a manger called me to ask me to return to the spa to fix the problem. However, I am a busy single mom and have limited time that going back is nearly impossible within a reasonable time frame. That’s what was most frustrating, I rarely spend time and money on myself and both time and money were wasted at Margot’s.

This place is pretty good. It has a very nice spa feel to it, you get to put on a robe and slippers and walk around. Very relaxing vibe. There are also showers available in the spacious locker rooms. I had a facial, which I enjoyed a lot. Nice professional service. The only catch are the prices. My facial was $ 100. Ouch.

I’ve gone to this spa for facials and massages. I think they do a great job at both. I know its one of the priciest spa’s in the area, but they do an impeccable job. Great ambiance if you are looking for a well decorated, relaxing environment. They offer plenty of seating in the waiting areas, lemon water, variety of teas, and a glass of champagne if it’s a special occasion. They occasionally (maybe once a year?) offer some discounted pre-​purchased items, and if you buy in bulk you get a discount as well. They only take cash or check for tips, so be prepared for that before you go. They do take CC for the services though, so that is convenient atleast.

One of the best i have ever been! Tried almost every Spa in town and the best ones in boston and chicago, Margot’s is my favorite ! I had facial with Margot and nail with Najewa. I could see instant change of my skin condition. The manicure and pedicure are amazing. They carry good products too. They are expensive, but not as expensive as Cream De La mer. And they works ! All in all, Five stars !!

I’ve gone sporadically to Margot’s since it was in its former location. Sometimes I’ve gone b/​c I have a gift certificate; other times I’ve gone b/​c I could get an appt. I don’t plan to go any longer b/​c the prices are very high considering other salons in the area deliver just as good or better services for a lower price.
The main reason I am no longer a fan of Margot’s is because every time I’ve gone in recent years, I get the upsell. Margot must train her employees to be pushy b/​c no matter if I’m having a facial or a pedicure, the employee starts touting all the products they sell that can help whatever devastating situation I am in.
That’s the other thing: they try to make me feel as though I have the worst skin or nails or whatever in the world and only they can help me. I have normal skin. I don’t have acne. So I know this is just another annoying sales tactic that preys on customers’ self-​esteem. It’s pretty low.
I go to the spa to relax and enjoy being pampered. I don’t want the added stress of fending off pushy sales tactics that remind me of a used car salesman.

My husband scheduled me for a facial and massage. Before my massage, I told the dirty looking masseuse I was in my 1^st trimester just to notify her. She then told me she needed to talk with her manager and to go sit back on the couch. I was then approached for my facial, the lady with bad teeth said, «we will START with your facial». NOT mentioning a single word that they could no longer do my massage. After asking when my last facial was, she asked WHERE it was? Who cares where it was! Why don’t you ask if I have problem areas or what my skin type is?! SHE REMOVED MY BLACKHEADS BY SQUEEZING THEM OUT WITH HER FINGER NAILs! There are salons DOWNRIVER who have the machines to properly remove blackheads with suction.
If they would have told me I could not have a massage, before having my facial– I NEVER would have got the facial!

I have had over 20 appointments at Margot’s European Day Spa over the last few years, experienced almost all of their services and every appointment and service has been exceptional!
My favorite services to get there are facials by Margot (whatever she recommends for my skin at the time) and the lymphatic draining baths. Margot’s facials are the best I have ever had — in the world!!!, she really knows how to heal and create beautiful skin. Totally and completely worth the price. There are also specials you can sign up for on their website and Margot would also work with me and recommend products in my price range.
The environment is relaxing and the staff really knows what they are doing. Thank you, Margot for a great day spa! There is no place and no one like you.

I am a spa junkie and have been to at least 50 different spas all over the US, Europe, and even on a couple of cruise ships and I can say that the facial I received from Margot today was one of the best I have ever had.
Jessie did my make-​up and she was also wonderful. There are little extras (hand massage during my facial, extra massage during my body wrap, eyebrow wax during facial) that make them above, above average.
They do sell products but so far what they recommended were all worth buying. Love Margot’s. I will definitely be back.

I love going to Margot’s… Lisa gives the best massages, spray tan, body scrubs EVER!!! I loved the fact that she’s a «serial’ blender! She made sure that my spray tan was perfect and the color was to perfection! She was very knowledgeable about all the products I asked about! The pedicures are amazing although I can’t remember the younger girls name! It’s clean relaxing and the fact that you can shower after your massage instead of walking around all greasy is a total plus! I heard that Margot herself gives an amazing facial, I haven’t had one yet but looking forward to trying one!!!

I am taking off stars because the price of this place is ridiculous, I mean really. I do not balk at paying higher prices for significantly better services but that was not the case here. I also was not made to feel welcomed or comfortable here, rather like a poor cousin who did not really belong. I don’t really, but that is entirely beside the point.
I did not pay as I went as a group thing for a big budget wedding but when I saw the regular rates I wanted to hyperventilate. I had a couple of nice treatments but I can get just as nice for cheaper elsewhere.
The atmosphere is lovely enough, the music and lighting very spa appropriate. The staff seemed very snobby and one person was a bit judgemental and made me feel a bit uncomfy about my weight. I hate when spas do this. Trust me I know I am fat, I’m not thrilled about it either lady.
The facial I got was a hundred dollars, a very good facial but not significantly better than what I have recieved elsewhere. The cheapest massage in here is 85 bucks and you do not even get a full hour. They upsell you the entire time there which really detracts from any relaxation I might have gotten. My nails also did not last too long at all. The nail service was the strictly standard type and I was not all that impressed.
We had luncheon type snacks and wine but it was not anything special really.
We did get gift bags but the products seemed like stuff that was not moving off the shelves and they were just throwing it in, a lot of us had no use for what was in our bag and we did a few swaps. I got a dry skin product for instance when I had just had a facial for problematic combination type skin that breaks out when anything heavy is applied. One of the girl’s product seemed like it had been used already so she chucked it.
All in all I was not wowed and it is just as well, I cannot afford this place at any rate. They do send me deals through an email club I somehow ended up on (eyeroll inserted) but I still find them to be higher than elsewhere and frankly I am uninspired to ever return.

Atmosphere
The day spa is very nice inside. The lighting is calming and the music is relaxing. The décor is very classy and serene. Parking was convenient in the structure across the street.
Nails
The pedicure wasn’t great and didn’t last. I feel like mani/​pedis may have been an add-​on service, but they don’t do a ton so they’re not extremely good at them.
Massage
I would have liked a deep tissue, but I wasn’t paying (rec’d through work). It was very good for a regular massage. I am a former college athlete so I have a lot of physical pains and strange joints and the masseuse worked out a lot of knots while not aggravating injuries. The room was absolutely private and I felt comfortable the whole time.
Facial
I’ve had two facials from Margots. They do a great job cleansing and my skin felt amazing after. It cleared up a lot of problem areas that my dermatologist and lots of prescriptions didn’t help. Everything was really top notch except I felt like they were selling to me the whole time. She kept telling me that she’d leave certain product that would really help up front for me.
Groups
We went with a group from work both times (8 people-​ish) and they were very accommodating. They have a small separate room where we had the catered food and wine set up. The services and logistics were well orchestrated and no one waited very long.
Extras
Both times, we were given gift bags with a full-​size sample product inside. I’m pretty sure this applies to anyone, not just groups. I really liked a clay mask they gave one time, and the lotion the other time was mediocre.

I have to say that when I received a gift certificate for a massage at Margot’s Day Spa, I was really excited. I decided to add on two additional services to my deep tissue massage, which was a back «facial» and an eyebrow wax. The massage was heavenly. That’s where the great spa experience ended. The person doing my back facial and my eyebrows was the same person. She must have been too concerned with trying to get me to purchase their expensive products that she caused second-​degree burns around my eyebrows. When we called the salon to let them know what happened, the manager tried to blame me for it. (That I MUST be using retinA or some other product to cause it.) All I have to say is what ever happened to pleasing the customer? Isn’t that the entire moto of a spa?

Bright and sunny space out front with a ton of products. The treatment rooms are nice and professionally done. I’ve had a few massages there and found the therapists very good. Prices are appropriately inflated for Birmingham. Not my style for a day spa in general (I favor the Zen cavelike atmosphere) but still very classy. And I’m not turning down a good massage!
