He opened The Roxbury Institute in 2015 and is the founder and Medical Director of The Roxbury Institute Surgical Center. So I get a missed phone call today 5÷5÷2016 — no message– Apparently from a Christina– representing Dr. Amron’s office, possibly office manager who called to «first» offer a backhanded apology about my experience, but then proceeds into trying to check me about my Unilocal review regarding what I have said about what the pricing was, that is normal for that area etc. I guess they got offended at the honesty in my Unilocal review, but it doesn’t change anything as I don’t retract the truth and I was really NICE about it truth be told. So at this point, you’ve pissed me off because number 1– you do not get to call my phone with no extra shit. If you want to apologize, do that and get off my phone; hell, refund my damn money– for an apology seeing that I wasted $ 150 waiting around for 40 minutes for a 10 minute bullshit consult. I informed her that I already had my procedure done, for much less and received an excellent result. Truthfully, if you feel $ 13,000 is the norm– that’s your opinion, your damn business and I could care less. I either way, had to cut her off 1– because I was at lunch, 2– I called back– no answer AND finally– the voice mailbox is full. If your office really gave a damn you wouldn’t be contacting me 2 months after the fact. I am not even thinking about that office at this point. If you have not noticed, «Dr. Amron» responded weeks later and if I was interested in discussing it ANY further I would have contacted you all. Did I do that? No. So I will snatch another star for calling my phone with that bullshit. I left a message with the receptionist for you and your office not to call my damn phone over no fucking Unilocal review and further more, evidently you had to do some digging from Unilocal to tie my personal cell phone and have the audacity to call me with this foolishness. You have the right one… With that said– I am sure you have my address since you dug to get my cell, so if you want to discuss this further you can see me face-​to-​face –PULL UP.

Dr. Amron and his team are by far the best medical team in L.A. They are professional, approachable and are incredibly informative when it comes to deciding what procedure would be best.
The new surgery in Beverly Hills, (The Roxbury Institute) is also gorgeous and super inviting! I’ll definitely be back.

The worst! Had lipo nearly 4 years ago. Aside from the results being nonexistent, the surgery was the worst pain I have ever experienced. It was a blood bath and I was freezing cold. The swelling and bruising was intense. The worst part — to this day my incision sites continue to ooze and get infected. I addressed this with Dr. Amron for the first year and was brushed off with antibiotics and topicals. After seeing a «true surgeon» this week, I am being sent to a infectious disease specialist. The incisions have quadrupled in size. Don’t walk away… run!

I have lipedema. I’ve had three past liposuction procedures from three different doctors and none of them were aware of my condition. As a consequence my results were disappointing-​although I believe they kept my disease from progressing. I spent s great deal of time researching options to treat lipedema as well as surgeons who treat. After a few consults with surgeons specializing in the treatment across the U.S. I decided on Dr Amron. He conveyed a high degree of knowledge regarding treatment and has a great deal of experience treating the disease. I had two procedures spread over two weeks. The staff was excellent and well informed. I was comfortable throughout the procedure. It’s only been a few weeks postop so I can’t provide too much on the result-​but I do already see a shape forming in my calf that has never been there that I’m very excited about.

Just awful service. I was warned against going here so I guess it’s on me, but I was recommended by someone who goes to this office. I don’t know if it’s the doctors or the people who work there but they are terrible. Dr amron wrote me an RX for a basic medication taken daily– that could easily have refills on it. Instead every single month I and my pharmacy have to call it in– this wouldn’t be a problem is the office actually refilled the RX. FOUR times now they just fucking don’t. No interest. I call. My pharmacy calls. They fax. And four times the office just does nothing. So I am left unable to take my medication. I even try to plan ahead every month KNOWING they will F this up. But it still doesn’t help. They seem to be useless. I shouldn’t have to go through this ridiculous process all the time just to get a prescription. Careless assholes really. Will be seeing a new dermatologist.
UPDATE
another full business day has gone by. I have called twice and my pharmacy AGAIN faxed for my RX. The arrogant office staff said they receive too many faxes to keep up. It is now end of business day– and I STILL can not get my prescription filled.

I went to Dr Amron last year after researching extensively to find the best surgeon for revision liposuction. I had liposuction several years ago by an extremely well respected plastic surgeon that left me with deformities on my inner and outer thighs. I had seen several surgeons after that for consultations to correct the deformities. None left me with a sense of great confidence. In the consultation with Dr Amron he very thoroughly went through the approach he would use to improve the contour of my legs. The previous surgery had been done too aggressively and left me with a strange shape to my legs. Dr Amron’s approach to correction involved re contouring the entire leg as there was too much fullness in the front of my thighs and knees. In addition I was stripped of fat in my outer and inner thighs so his plan was to graft fat into the hollow areas. The surgery was about two hours during which I was awake, as he explained it was very important for me to be able to move around during the surgery. It really was not painful in the least. I was instructed to take a two mile walk the day after surgery and felt surprisingly good, much better than when I had it done before under general anesthesia. I pretty much right away noticed a much improved shape to my legs. It’s now been over a year and my legs look so much better and more natural. I was extremely happy with the results and my choice of surgeon. He is amazing!!!

Wasted over 5G for lipo on the back of my legs. I am not over weight and workout a lot. Dr. Amron said lipo would help with my banana roll. I knew the results would not be immediate but at 6 months I called the office to say I was disappointed and never got a call back. Then after a year a I received an email asking me about my experience. I said it was bad and they booked an appointment for a consult. I purposely booked the first appointment of the day so I wouldn’t get caught behind people who were late. I have a job and had to save for this. He couldn’t bother to get to the office on time and after 30 minutes of unexplained waiting and no apology I walked out. I think cosmetic procedures can be great but not with Dr Amron.

Doctor Amron has built his practice and otherwise stellar reputation on providing highly targeted, skilled surgery. He is a very caring, sensitive man. Soft spoken and tactful. He genuinely cares about his patients well-​beingand follows up to ensure patients recovery is smooth and that they feel good their experience and life after their procedure.
Because of his deep caring for patients and the fact that he values those relationships, he is at times guilty of running over normal times – as a result above average wait times here are not uncommon. That said, anything good and decent is worth waiting for and it’s emblematic of the reality that Dr. Amron see’s his patients as people, not just a means for himself to make as much money as possible – common for many plastic surgeons in Beverly Hills.
I’m afraid in the world of Liposuction there is a lot of misunderstanding about what a good, honest doctor should do and can do for his patients. Dr. David Amron is a highly specialized surgeon who helps patients sculpt areas on their bodies that have been resistant to traditional approaches. He is a not a substitute for Jenny Craig nor is he a bariatric surgeon-​he doesn’t generally perform his services on those patients who are struggling with extreme obesity etc. He is crystal clear about this with ALL of his patients. Unfortunately many patients enter liposuction with false hopes about reversing years and years of body fat accumulation.
If you research Dr. Amron thoroughly and go to him for the right reasons, you will be happy. Highly skilled at what he does and loved by those with the proper expectations! Ask around about him from other Doctors and you will hear that he enjoys a great reputation among his peers – its unfortunate the misguided sentiments of a few patients doesnt reflect his reputation as a whole.

Hi my name is Elle, I have been going to Dr. Amron for 7 years. I have to admit I do not agree with the reviews that I read on here. Dr. Amron is an artist. he completely takes time with his patients no matter what the job is. I have had Botox since I was age 38 I am now 44. Most people think I am around age 32, and on a good day age 27. I do take very good care of myself (facial regimens, work outs etc.) but this man does not make you look plastic, unmoving or fake.
The things I have had Dr. Amron do to me are: Botox, filler on my cheeks, fractal laser for slight scarring from acne and lastly I had a mini Lipo which took my 36 inch hips to a 35. it is been five years and my hips are still a 35. Yes I do be Bikram, Ballet, run and I eat healthy but his techniques definitely do work.
If you think you can have a perfect body and a perfect face by doing nothing except having a surgeon do lipo on you, I have news for you: you are living in fantasy land.
Having a healthy body takes work; it is not going to an office to be poked and hope for a perfect 10 result.
And lastly Dr. Amron is very kind, and has a wonderful soul. He’s a talented musician extremely educated.
if you want to look natural, beautiful and not look weird/​puffy like so many people do after having any kind of filler, try Dr. Amron. He is not cheap, but he does a fabulous job.

I sadly also had a really bad lip experience with Dr. Amron. He talked himself up so much in my pre-​surgery consults as the best lipo in Beverly Hills, and his method of using only local anesthesia as superior. It was crazy painful, I was crying and freezing and wet on the table, really horrible. It’s true that the oozing the day of is bad, but day after it’s gone. I didn’t bruise at first and was impressed and then 5 days later, horrible bruising that lasted awhile. The absolute worst part? Horrible results. It didn’t look as if I had lipo at all. My inner thighs and back did not look better. $ 7500 down the drain. Go elsewhere if you are considering lipo. Plus no one in his office ever inquires about you after recovery and he never schedules you back in the office months later to evaluate the results… I wonder why?

I had the same exact type of experience as Lola S. After paying over $ 5,000.00 to do lipo on only the lower half of my body, I was very disappointed. It really does hurt as he slides the metal suction tube under your skin, even with the local anesthetic, and Dr. Amron seemed annoyed at me for saying it hurt. And then afterwards, I saw the collection jar and there was not even that much fat in it! I asked him, «how much can be taken out at one time» and he told me the amount, and I remember that my level of fat taken out was very small in relation to the number he said. I didn’t notice that much of a change in my body either, so I felt that the money I paid was wasted. I would have been better off hiring a personal trainer to work my extra few pounds off and probably look way better than going through all that.

My honest review of liposuction with doctor David Amron:
Consultation: Everything went perfect. The girl at the reception was very sweet. I didn’t wait long to see doctor David Amron, and he took the time to talk to me (about 45 min) and answer all of my questions and concerns.
The Liposuction: The nurses were great and took a good care of me. The lipo is done under only local anesthesia, and I am not kidding you, it hurt as hell!!! Well, doctor David Amron didn’t believe me and faulted my sensitivity for it.
Recovery: Not a big deal ! The worst day was only just after when I was leaking like crazy. But two days later I was already taking two mile walks in the park. No significant bruising or sweeling.
Five Months After: I feel very upset, frustrated and fooled. The lipo didn’t take even a half of an inch from my legs. I look just like before the surgery. The only difference is that I have 6 little scars left.
Overall, I feel so bad for spending some big $$$ for something that didn’t meet my smallest expectations. Something that was promised to me by doctor David Amron
