My experience with Dr Morrell and her staff was outstanding. Dr Morrell and Sunshine her nurse, were always around to answer any questions I had. I never felt rushed when speaking with Dr Morrell, she always made me feel well taken care of. Her technicians were amazing. Beth and Eric always made me feel comfortable and relaxed. The few times I had to change my appointments was never a problem, they were always able to accommodate me. The reception staff were always very friendly and sweet. My 7 weeks of radiation flew by thanks to the loving support from everyone at Advanced Radiation.

Excellent. Everything about this place was perfect. Dr. Morrell was great. I couldn’t have asked for a better doctor. Words cant express my feelings for this place. Or dr. Morrell. And as for the staff, they were all professional, polite, and courteous. They made it feel like I was going to visit with friends. I am so thankful for the hospitality and genuine sincerity these people demonstrated day after day. They made it so easy to go every day. Thank you everyone. Dr. Morrell, Eric, beth, sunshine, bridgette, blanca, kim!!! You guys are amazing.

First of all, if medical centers were «rated» then the Advanced Radiation Center of Beverly Hills deserves a FIVE STARS rating. Every aspect of the Center is exceptional –right from the very first visit and consultation through treatment completion. The truly advanced technology and the expertise of Dr. Morrell and her entire staff create an environment that instills a genuine, much-​needed sense of well-​being — both emotionally and medically — at the unsettling time of diagnosis. The combination of the staff’s skill, professionalism, support, and sincere compassion are the standard to which every medical center should aspire. The Center gives new meaning to the definition of «medical care.»

I’ve just completed an excruciatingly unpleasant 7 weeks of radiation at the center run by Dr Morell. I’ve met a lot of cancer doctors in the last 7 years having had two lumpectomies, a double mastectomy, chemo and about 13 surgeries due to staph infections and complications — but without doubt Dr Morell is the most unpleasant, uncaring, rude and abusive doctor I have ever had the misfortune to meet. I asked for a clear honest picture of all side effects and what would transpire during the seven weeks. She downplayed everything to a ludicrous degree, she did not mention the somewhat salient fact that both my lungs and heart would be radiated because the tumor was on my left side and she did not give a remotely realistic picture of the side effects that soon began. At one point my back started to hurt and I kept scratching it and then it started to bleed. It was a mess. I texted to ask if it could be a radiation burn. She texted back «rare but possible». I then looked it up online – it was definitely a strong possibility.
I told her my back looked just like my chest. She then changed her tune and said «it was standard radiation reaction– I told you about it.» Rare and standard seem somewhat different.
And she had most definitely not bothered to mention that I would get exit radiation burn. Nor had anyone bothered to even look at my back which then needed special treatment. But then the next day her technician pointed out that it was both entrance and exit burns because i was being radiated from underneath when the machine turned round me — as well! Who knew? Certainly not me. and apparently not the good doctor.
When I began to ask Dr Morell questions about why I had not been told all these facts she subsequently became so utterly defensive and angry and rude — I was utterly shocked by her outright dishonesty. She would continually say that she had told me all the facts –and it simply was not true. Two friends going through similar radiation were given all the right creams and told of all the side effects and skin problems to come — like painful blisters that burst that I had to endure on a long weekend –but I was told of a little redness –that’s it. Her front of office staff were very pleasant indeed –but truly it was a grim sad experience week after week thanks to her unprofessionalism and seriously unpleasant attitude. If I hadn’t been worried about insurance payment I would have left after a couple of weeks.

Dr. Morrell and her team are wonderful! I was diagnosed with Stage 2A breast cancer and having zero experience with cancer, I relied heavily on my team of doctors for their guidance and care. From my first appointment, I was extremely impressed. The office is beautiful and calming and peaceful. Her staff (especially Suzie, Rosa, Sunshine, and Trish) were extremely friendly, accomodating, helpful and supportive. Dr. Morrell gives an incredible sense of comfort in her knowledge and expertise — she always had answers to my questions or would research them, was always accessible and responsive, and gave me the feeling that my care was the priority. Her state of the art equipment and facility are impressive! Do your research and you will see her center is extremely rare to come by.
Coming here every day for 6.5 weeks was as painless of a process as it could be under the circumstances. I would even stay or come in for their extra support classes that they offered (therapeutic art sessions) which shows how they care about their patients’ overall and continued well being and not just solely providing the immediate treatment (which would already be enough). Dr. Morrell took extremely good care of me and I am forever grateful that I have her support! While I just had my (hopefully) last follow up appointment with her, I know I can always count on her for advice and care!

Everyone at Advanced Radiation Center was great! I could not ask for a better experience (all things considered of why I am actually there). Dr. Morrell was informative, kind and patient. Sunshine is the perfect name for her. The radiation therapists were knowledgeable, oh so kind and personable. And Kim and Karen were just the best at the front desk. Thank you for everything!

My husband was diagnosed with Stage 3 cancer and referred by surgeon to this radiation oncology center after major surgery. Cancer is scary stuff so we had several meetings with Dr. Morrell before eventually starting with radiation therapy. Due to setback that required emergency surgery my husband had to wait to start. Dr. Morrell kept in touch with us and then gave us a second consultation based upon latest surgery.
This group is very good about coordination calls between surgeons and other doctors on the team so that decisions regarding treatment are made with all the information shared and test results on the table. With most other doctors we use, I am the one doing all the chasing down of records, test results and making sure that docs have even looked at them prior to appointments.
They return calls and emails promptly, and you can email everyone in the office with questions and updates — including Dr. Morrell — plus call her cell phone number which she gives to patients which is truly amazing access that should be the norm for other doctors vs the low industry standard of «voice mail jail». When we had trouble getting through to other docs on oncology team Dr. Morrell’s office helped us connect and get appointments faster.
When radiation was tiring my husband out excessively, he took a short break and also got a blood transfusion to help combat low hemoglobin numbers, again in coordination with medical oncologist at another office/​different practice.
On my husbands last daysession #2 sessions they played bagpipe music (he is from Scotland) and gave him a big cheer as a send off. My husband also got a stern talking to Dr. Morrell about need to move onto the next stage of treament — chemotherapy — to insure that he follows through for best chance of recovery.
We cannot say enough good about the staff here — unfailingly pleasant, professional and supportive. Appointment times are honored rigorously, valet parking is validated for every visit.

The staff here at Advanced Radiation Center of Beverly Hills are professional, courteous, and caring. Dr. Morrell was respectful of my uncertainty about receiving radiation. She answered all my questions and I decided to receive radiation.

This place is awesome! The staff was always caring and helpful. The Dr. was one of the best I have had the pleasure to be a patient of. I was in and out quickly, during each of my treatments and always felt comfortable. Thank you for all your hard work!

One of the friendliest staff I have come across. Made me feel at home from day 1. They validate parking, flexible schedule, and time accommodating if you have an other events you might have. Easy to locate.

First, the good. Even though I am giving this «business» one star, it does not mean that there is not anything positive so bear with me here.
First point of contact is the receptionist named Sunshine. Sunshine’s demeanor and personality lives up to her name. Very kind and sweet and helpful.
Dr Rosalyn Morrell was a kind woman as well. My first appointment was rather long and at the time i had felt that she had discussed things pretty thoroughly with me. Mind you, this was my FIRST consultation with her at the request of my breast surgeon PRIOR to surgery, while i was still in chemo. Dr Morrell stated, in no uncertain terms that she cannot say for sure if she is going to recommend radiation until AFTER I have surgery and she gets the pathology report.
Now, that being said, Dr Morrell, while kind and gentle, was NOT forthcoming or honest with me in any way shape or form where it mattered to me the most. I had serious concerns about all the side effects of radiation and she pointedly stated that my concerns were unfounded and that there was NO risk. Really? To me that is irresponsible. She stated that side effects were minimal and I MIGHT get a little skin redness. She denied lung and heart damage risks, she denied the dental issues that can arise in some radiation areas.
So I put the thought aside and about a week before surgery, the calls started with them asking me to make an appointment to get the CT mapping done so the Dr could start radiation. WTF? Didn’t have surgery yet so she does not have the path report yet so how can she recommend rads?
Surgery is done, path report shows the tumor is less than .5cm with HUGE margins and no node involvement. Still, the calls continue to set up an appointment and start on 7 – 9 weeks rads (instead of 5 – 6 weeks as she first said might be needed)
After an appointment with my surgeon, she said YES, rads will take down my risk of recurrence by 50%. Huge, right? Well not so huge when it takes you from a 4% risk to a 2% risk.
Called Dr Morrell’s office to tell her that I will NOT be doing rads (spoke to Sunshine) and the rebuttal was similar to when you tell a salesman you are not interested. Got a call back from Dr Morrell herself and she pulled the same thing but acted almost as if we had just broken up and I was moving out.
So it seems that this is a business rather than a medical practice… not that I have a problem with making a living as a physician but she is more concerned with getting the business than treating or refraining from treating patients as appropriate.
So be aware everyone, cancer is a very individual thing for each person. Get educated, learn about your individual risks and the risks of any procedure or medication you are facing and make an informed decision. You CAN say no to all or part of a treatment. You are in control of your life and can have a say in your care. Do not go with ANY doctor who denies he basic risks and side effects that are scientifically documented in respected peer reviewed journals.
