They came and trapped and removed a racoon in my home. The fellow who did it did the job and he returned (of course for a fee) and re/​placed/​re-​secured screen in the areas where the thing had gotten in. Later on, I sought their service again addressing a rodent infestation. I did not select them to carry out their rodent removal service… for reasons which I state below.
Multiple calls were required, service people did not show up when promised or in 1 instance, failed to show up altogether. The person who answered/​s the phone call to set-​up informed me they where the individual service person’s «boss» (sounded like they contract the individuals they send out to do these jobs, though — i.e., the individual who does the job is an owner/​operator/​subContractor). Web site for the individual contractor/​s I was directed to was misleading, incorrect, and very difficult to gather critical info from (like a correct phone number — numbers were incorrect that were on the site).
In sum, the unprofessionalism evident in the failure to show up when promised, web site contact info being incorrect, etc. — regardless the quality of work (which wasn’t any greater than I’d say better than average) — leads me to just simply advise you move on. I DID find someone else who was professional in both the business of business and the labor and getting the actual job done part of the business (through a neighbor’s personal referral).
There are NO excuses for poor business practices and regardless of what problems a business has in correcting web site info, et al, it is neither the customer’s responsibility to put up with that NOR is it appropriate to make excuses for it. You either are ready, able, and equipped to run a business in a business-​like and proper manner or… get a different job.
At this point, I am sick and tired of putting up with contractors’ excuses for every and anything. In this economy, customers have a choice. Customers, exercise that option and don’t be a door-​mat here.
