Growing up in the restaurant industry since I was 4 yrs old, you can pretty much say food is in my blood. My father had a traditional noodle soup restaurant, Vi’s Vietnamese Cuisine in the heart of Oakland China town, where I worked weekends and summer vacations from junior high through my first few yrs in college. My father finally retire the family business 10 yrs ago, when he did vowed to never step foot into a restaurant ever again…
Fast forward to 2006. Vanessa’s Bistro opened with the concept that belonged all to my mother who is THE Vanessa. She’s been a chef now for over 34 yrs, extremely talented and passionate about cooking! I partnered up with my mother to create a restaurant that’s fun, with amazing food, and just plain welcome to our home! We both love what we do! I started VB when I was 27, I’m now 35 yrs old and truly blessed for my career. I’m passionate about what I do, take pride in customer service and strive to be the best everyday that we’re open for business
