Scott was referred to us by a good friend whilst we were interviewing several agents to help us sell our fantastic one-​of-​a-​kind Eco/​green house. In fact, we were set on one when we interviewed Scott at the last minute. He came prepared and literally blew me away with his knowledge of our unique house and its net zero energy technology. Without a doubt, we chose Scott. Since then we went through many meetings, phone calls, emails and text messages, advises and assurances, Scott was very courteous, patient, accommodating and upbeat all the time despite some personal events. He had from Day 1 mapped out what we and himself needed to do to get our house ready, listed and sold. He recommended the work I should be taking care of to get the house in the best selling condition, reviewed and engaged all key personnel from stagers to photographers to cleaners. Throughout this adventure, we had only a few hiccups particularly with a stager who came in a s a replacement because our original one was not available. Lets just say the stager went WAY over the top and lucky for us Scott came by to see how things were (we have already moved back to NYC) and had the stagers took almost everything down and away. He understood the importance of the house’s selling points– LEED Platinum certification, prefab, net zero energy and ‘Green’ features and NOT about the staging. He kept it modern, tasteful and simple. Come to think of it, I should review that staging company and give it a 1 star. We literal handed the keys of our house to Scott and began our next chapter of life back in NYC. Long story short, we not only have a great agent in Scott– the house was sold at more than 140% of its listing price, we met and made a good friend for life! My wife and I were referred to Scott through my sister-​in-​law. We were in a situation where we had a deadline, and as first time home buyers, somewhat apprehensive given the competitive sellers market in the Bay Area. Scott navigated us through with skill and precision. He was quite generous with his time early on, getting to know us, taking us on personalized house tours each week until we started narrowing in on our priorities. Along the way, he taught us a lot about looking at the potential within a house — and visualizing possibilities that would never have occurred to me. (He has a lot of experience with upgrades/​remodels). What was great about Scott is it was obvious he was looking to get us into the «right» house — not just any house. Several times we would walk in, and he would turn us around and get us right out if he saw things that we wouldn’t even notice but signaled shoddy construction or funky design flaws.
Finally, when we found what felt like a good fit, he was as patient as he could be while staying firm on getting us to make the right offer so we could actually get the house, which we did. We did have a few tense moments, as the market conditions pretty much demand that buyers be quick, decisive, and willing to step a bit out of their comfort zone to actually get the house. To his credit, he stuck with us even though we wavered a bit near the end, and we ended up happy that we made the right choice, both with Scott, and the house.
Finally, after the title transferred, Scott took the time to go through the disclosures in detail, and personally recommend a handful vendors/​contractors that he has used in the past to bring in to start the «fixing up» work that needs to be done.
My only feedback to Scott would be to take a bit of extra time during the actual offer process to talk through the actual documents that need to be signed. We never really had the opportunity to do this, and in retrospect it would have made the offer process easier. A lot happens real fast these days, and it can be kind of spooky for first time buyers. But this is just a little thing, I would recommend Scott to anybody looking to purchase a home in the East Bay and would gladly work with him again in the future.

My wife and I ran into Scott randomly ten minutes after deciding to buy a home. We are first time buyers new to the area. Who, in Scott, found an east bay born and bred nuanced expert with detailed local knowledge and insight, taste and a sense of style. He advocated for us while negotiating and counseled and educated us patiently along the way. As I said we met him by chance and are happy we did so. We now consider him a friend.
