Thank you, Robin! Robin really did an incredible job of helping us buy the home we just closed on in Montclair. I am extremely impressed with him and highly recommend him to others. Buying a home is not always easy, but our recent quest for a home was particularly challenging. Not only was our want/​must have list nearly impossible (had to be handicap accessible with a view), we were moving from out of state. Living outside of the area while house hunting meant we had to rely heavily on our agent to prescreen properties for us. Throughout the nearly five months of working with Robin, he was incredible! He really listened to our wants and needs and worked tirelessly to find appropriate properties for us. He was in touch with us on a regular basis and was always available when we needed him. In the end, due to my work schedule, I was not able to travel to California to look at houses and due to time constraints, we had a short amount of time to make our final buying decision. Because Robin had been so incredible to work with and because I had total trust in both him and my husband, my husband bought our home without me seeing it. Robin and my husband did a great job! I bought a house with robin as my agent in 2004. We started looking in 2003. Twenty bids later, countless lunches and through all the frustration trying to get a house during the bubble, robin never wavered. Robin Kingsbury recently represented us in buying our current home in El Cerrito as well as selling our home in Alameda. In spite of the challenging economy, we were able to sell our Alameda home in a timely fashion and received an amount that was within the range of what we were hoping. In regard to our El Cerrito home, Robin handled all of the inspections and walked us through all of the paper work. We believe that because of a personal letter he wrote to the home owner, we were able to acquire our current home which we love. Without this intervention, we believe the sale would have likely fallen through. Robin helped me sell a my condominium in San Francisco. I found him to be a true professional and I appreciated the real effort he put into selling my unit. It was a tough unit to sell due to its location and lack of off street parking. Nor did it help that the real estate market was going through a slump and prices in general were falling. Even worse, the timeline for selling was tight. I was relocating to the east coast and I gave him the goal of selling within three months. Nevertheless, Robin stepped up and handled things beautifully. He set a good initial asking price and he made certain that the unit was presented well during open houses. (We used professional stagers to attractively decorate what would have been an empty unit.) At the end of the day I got a fair price and did not have to sell at a loss. What more could anyone ask for? I really benefited from his long years of experience and recommend him without hesitation.

I have used Robin twice as a seller’s agent over the last two years. Both of my properties had significant hurdles to overcome. Robin went beyond the call of duty to prepare the properties for marketing and sale within my budget. In both transactions we received offers immediately after listing. One of these houses actually straddled the edge of a slide zone. Robin brought in professionals with expertise specific to that slide zone then he worked with city and the buyer’s agent to clear all the contingencies. In the 9 years we have known Robin, he has always come across as a warm, friendly, personable, yet professional acquaintance. He has never been aggressive during any of our engagements, but has been on top of every aspect of our home sales and home purchase. When selling our home, Robin has always been very detail-​oriented and was able to perform the necessary due diligence in order to best market our home. During the house hunting stage, Robin was great with working with us to search for houses at our own pace, though whenever there was a place we wanted to see, he always made himself available to show it us as soon as possible.
