Custom formulations of bath and body products, skincare products, hair products, cosmetics, OTC pharmaceuticals for nearly 50 years, Libby Labs is a première contract manufacturer.

History

Established in 1959.

Libby Laboratories, Inc. was founded in 1959 by Dr. Henry Libby. Dr. Libby was a graduate of UC Berkeley in Physiology and UCSF Pharmacy School. Susan Libby, company President, began learning the business from the ground up at the tender age of 11 then entered the company full time after acquiring her degree from the University of California, Berkeley.

The company began in a small manufacturing site in Berkeley, CA. For the first couple of years, the company produced chemical specialties and sanitary chemicals. In 1962, the company moved to a larger site, expanded their scope to include cosmetics, and became the pioneer company to work with natural ingredients such as strawberries, avocados, and papayas.
