All Access Garage Doors

Wow! I couldn’t be any happier with this company and their employees. I had been calling around to try to find an appointment for the same day. Let it be known it was about midday already, and I couldn’t find anyone. Once I called All Access Garage Doors, I was able to quickly schedule for the same day and the technician was super friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this company if your looking for a quick and fast repair.

Two years ago I was introduced to this company through Amazon Local. With such excellent service I did a review back then and kept their information on hand for any future garage door needs. Yesterday I needed emergency service on my door. (I recommend not being distracted when you close the door. After pushing the button I looked back and realized my car trunk door was still opened and it got caught in between the garage door panels coming down pulling 2 rollers off their track). I called All Access. I was immediately put at ease and they arranged for someone to come in about an hour. He came in ½ hour and was able to get my door back in service in a very short time. He checked everything and also lubed the hinges. Thank you again for such great, prompt, pleasant service.

First, I was skeptical because of a couple of 1 star reviews I read on Unilocal.I was desperate because the first section of the garage slid off the rail and it would not close so I had to leave it overnight. Initially, I tried calling Golden Gate Overhead Garage but they do not open on the weekends. I called and had an appointment for the technician to come by from 4−6pm. The representative also explained that a $ 35 is charged for an estimate but is waived if you agree with the service. I had to work so I could not get home in time to meet the appointment, but it was okay since my garage could not close, the technician, JOSE, could just drop by, take a look at it and give me an estimate over the phone. Fortunately, I had a friend stay at the house to meet Jose when he got there. He got there around 5:54pm. The technician did his thing and left, less than a hour. It was him and another guy of course. My garage was able to close and I was able to sleep at night. But yes, thank God this technician knows his stuff. The total cost came out to be $ 413, I don’t know if that’s expensive or not because I never had to call anyone to fix a garage. Hope this review helps others who have the same situation. By the way, I live in San Pablo. I had to say that because a previous review mentioned something about phony Unilocalers or whatever trying to improve ratings. I can honestly say I am a genuine customer.

Fast response, excellent service and reasonable rates. Garage door operates like new and is the quietest its ever been.

I love these guys. They do great work and are always available for questions if you need. I have worked with a few garage door companies and these guys by far know their stuff. I would highly recommend them.

Great job. I called on a Saturday and they came on time, repaired my door for a reasonable enough price. The work was done correctly the first time and Antonio was a really pleasant guy. Highly recommend.

Quick and Fast Service. Had to replace one of the panels on my garage door. Gave them a call and immediately got someone to come look at my door. Alejandro was my technician. He quickly got me a quote the next day and had the panel delivered in three days. I scheduled an appointment and took an hour to install. He also helped me readjust my railings and reposition my garage motor to prevent my door from breaking again with no extra charge.

THE SHORT STORY: This place is the worst. Seriously. Call someone else. Anyone else. I am leaving this review so I won’t ever accidentally call them again. With little research, you will see that many of their 5 star ratings are fake.
I had them come out to take a look at my garage. First, there is a fee for them to just come out, unlike every other company I contacted. Second, they are completely unreliable. They missed the first appointment and called to reschedule. I rescheduled with them on another day; however, they missed the second appointment time and asked to come during one of my meetings. I refused and threw a fit just to get them to come after work hours. They relented as they should have. When they finally came, I didn’t feel good about the technician. He didn’t seem knowledgable, so I decided to contact other companies at that point. All Access called daily to harass me into working with them for at least 15 consecutive days after the consultation.
After this, I took a break from trying to fix my garage door. When I finally got around to looking again, All Access’ Unilocal reviews had changed from 3 stars to 4 stars, so I thought they were a totally different company. By the way, how the hell do you bump up from 3 stars to 4 stars in just a few months? It’s super sketchy. Some of the recent reviews are from weird accounts – like a guy that lives in Oregon but owns a home with a garage and pool in California who gets a Berkeley-​based company to service his garage, but a Sacramento-​based company to service his pool, and whose only local photo is from a place in Tennessee close to his «home». I travel monthly for work, but guess where most of my reviews are? That’s right, the fracking East Bay.
Anyway, I couldn’t fathom how the garage company I had worked with previously could ever have 4 stars, so I accidentally called them again. I knew something was wrong when the technician didn’t show up on time AGAIN. That’s three times they flaked on me. They proceeded to call me for about 20 days straight to reschedule and said they had my information on file from a previous visit. Even if they hadn’t revealed that they were the same horrible company that I had called the first time, I would have known by their daily follow-​up calls.
So, if you want to waste your time, go ahead and call All Access. If you want to know what it feels like to want to get a restraining order against a company, call All Access. If anything, their call center is very efficient. However, if you want your garage fixed, I recommend looking at the truly 4 – 5 star review companies and Alameda and Hayward. They will all come out to Berkeley, and they truly deserve their ratings.

Quick, professional service. Took a garage door that hadn’t been serviced in at least 20 years, and made it good as new. I had no idea how bad it was until it had been repaired. Very happy with the result.

I got a next-​day appointment to diagnose and fix our ancient one-​piece wood garage door that was rubbing against its frame. Al showed up on time, was friendly and courteous, and put my mind at ease about the problem. He replaced our rusty, dubious springs in a jiffy. He did not try to upsell me on parts, service, or a new door, though was happy to provide a quote when I asked.

Called All Access on a Monday to schedule an appointment for a few things: both openers were inoperable, the outside keypad was not working, and the garage needed a tune up. I explained this was not urgent, but the rep told me she could send someone out in the afternoon between 1 and 3. He arrived just before 1 (which was great), and fixed all of the problems. He was polite, knowledgable, and thorough. I would recommend All Access Garage Doors.

We’ve got a big garage door that is 54 years old. It constantly needs maintenance and regular tune ups. When our regular repair company went out of business, we started looking around for a new company. All Access has been friendly and helpful. Getting the work done right is a big deal cause we rely on our garage door every day. With a new roller wheel and some bad needed grease, our door is back in action. If you’re in the market for a garage door repair, check these friendly folks out.

I called on a Friday and they could fit me in the next morning. The tech came within the window they told me he would arrive in. He was able to diagnose the issue (a faulty safety sensor) and fix it. The cost to come out and do the maintenance was roughly a third of what I was quoted at the other three places I called. I could not be happier with the service I received.

I had a really good experience with All Access Garage Doors. I couldn’t take my car out of the garage, I called a few companies but neither was available at the moment. When I called All Access they lady who answered the phone was really nice and she send someone over within 45 minutes. The tech was very friendly and professional, he found the problem in a few minutes. The price was very reasonable.
I will highly recommend to use All Access.

Don’t waste your time with this place! I called in and scheduled service the same day in Dec. Got quoted a window between 2−4pm (or 1−4pm?)
I called them at around 3:30 to check. They told me it is going to take a bit longer because the technician was still at the other job. Okay. That is understandable. I called them again at 4:30ish, again they told me it’s gonna be a bit longer. I told them I have another appointment at 6pm so it will be okay as long as they can make it at 5:30. Called them the THIRD time at 5:30pm. They agreed to push it to 7pm. I have been really understanding but they are not professional at all. No one ever called me back to let me know what is going on. I have to call them THREE times to check! That is unacceptable.
At 7pm, the technician finally came. After looking at the door briefly, he told me that I need a new spring and motor and quoted me $ 810. I can tell that he only wanted to rush and go home after taking my $ 45 diagnosis fee so that he made up some ridiculous quote. He even told me if I don’t fix my door soon, it will «fall off» What?! How ridiculous is that? So dishonest!
Finally, I got my door fixed for only $ 79 at another garage company. It was only a minor tension problem.

I saw a living Social deal for a garage door tune up for $ 39… decided to give it a shot. We had a new house and thought it would be a good ideal to have someone take a look at the door.
I set the visit for a monday, but they call and asked if I could reschedule for a sunday. It worked for me so i agreed.
3 PM the tech arrived… by 3:10 he was back in his car and gone… What did he do. Basicly he sprayed some wd40 on my hinges… tightened 4 screws…
He then looked at my spring and said it was too small for my door and would need to be replaced. He said he would get me a quote, but could not reach anyone at the office. He told me they would call me back Monday with the details…
3 weeks no one ever called me back.
After he left I did some research and the spring on my door is rated to handle way in excess of my existing door.

I made an apt a week ago with this company. They called today to tell me THEY were cancelling! I felt there was something fishy about a «deal» I got from AAA (btw I will Unilocal them as well). Pay now and get service later. The hook was you pay less now for service later. Now I have a cancelled apt and a garage door that needs servicing. Did they push me back because of customers paying full price? They have my $$ upfront, no service. When I asked them to cancel and return my $ they said I need to go to AAA for that! As they say «when it’s too good to be true» I got sucked in.
Sorry guys you earned it.
I am adding to this post. They called and rescheduled for another 9 days out. I still give them low marks on cancellation and such a long time to get back in. I will follow up with service after they show up.

My garage door had an epic fail. A broken cable and my (not my choice of vehicle) mini-​van was trapped in the garage. A shimmy under the door to retrieve a car seat or two without getting cut in half a la some Scary Movie took the emergency out of my emergency but still made me want to take care of the issue straight away.
I called three places with All Access being the last. One hour before closing time and they agreed to come out straight away. My hero, Alejandro showed up an hour and a half later. Nice, courteous and professional are attributes that come to mind. He went straight to work, replaced the cable, and for a modest sum, fixed me right up.
Thank you thank you thank you for being a top notch and trustworthy business. Same day service at a reasonable price.

Excellent Service!!. I called all access and was able to immediately schedule a time for someone to come out. I was told that they can come out for free and take a look and estimate repairs.
When Al arrived, he was awesome. He quickly determined that it was a motor issue and not a sensor issue like I thought and tuned it up for me. Tested the door and it worked flawlessly. While he was here he also adjusted my manual lock as well and positioned it to work in the event of a motor failure.
This was all done for FREE.
His service was very much appreciated. This is the place to go !!!

Service was very fast and professional. I called the place in the morning and they were able to get my door fixed the same day.
My door spring snapped and I couldn’t get my car in the garage so I YouTube’d how to replace it myself and although it seemed pretty simple however, I didn’t wanna risk making a rookie mistake. I probably would’ve wasted my day redoing the job over and over so I figured hiring a professional would save me time, hassle, and would be a lot safer. Al, the owner and repairman completed the job in less than an hour and even lubed all the squeaks in the door and noticed the builders who installed my original garage door opener went the cheap route and installed one made for a single spaced garage (¹⁄₃ hp) rather than one made for my double spaced garage which should have a ½ hp motor.
I’m glad that Golden Gate garage repair never returned my calls and went with All Access instead.
