A Plus Garage Door

Came home after work and saw that one of the coils on the garage had snapped. Called A Plus and was able to have the tech, Ed come by, last minute. He did a great job, said he may take about 45 minutes (but was done in less than 30). Fast, efficient, and still friendly while being able to carry a conversation. I was very pleased, that they were still just as good as the last time we used them (in 2011 for a frayed garage cable)!!!

The day my husband met me, he called me stubborn. 22 years later, I am still stubborn and am pretty resistant to changes, or you can say I am persistent and loyal. Well, I learn today that change can be a good thing.
It was a rude awaking this morning at 7:30 to realize that there was something wrong with the garage door. It won’t open and the cables were hanging on the sides of the garage door. I thought of calling the garage door company which I have used many times over the years but instead decided to Unilocal,hoping of finding another company that would open their company earlier than 9 am and prehaps could come over this morning to repair the garage door so I can get my car out and leave the house for my doctor’s appointment.
Out of the three companies that I called, Ed with A Plus Gragarge Door picked up the phone right away and even agreed to squeeze me into his hectic morning schedule and to come by to fix the door before noon. As promised, Ed showed up shortly after 10 am and get to work right away. Ed replaced the spring, a ball bearing, adjusted the garage door and the chain, tightened and lubricated all the bolts and nuts, and corrected the garage door opener cover which was put on backward by the company I used before. Ed was patient, friendly, professional, thorough, easy to talk to, and absolutely know what he was doing. Well, I would even say he is a perfectionist. He took the time, almost an hour, to fine tune the garage door until it’s working perfectly. Wow!!! Need I say more?
Well, change can be a good thing… And Ed sure has proven that point for me today. And when I need help with my garage door again in the future, I am calling Ed.

After having my 20 year old SEARS garage door motor «konk-​out» I made 3 calls to 3 local companies. I got Ed on my first call on Monday, scheduled an appt tuesday and had my door repaired on Wednesday.
In contrast, one of the other two companies returned my call but wasn’t interested making an on site assessment unless I was ready to buy, and the other company didn’t return my call till Tuesday.
Ed was flexible on price, scope and schedule and was a pleasure to do business with — he even left the site cleaner than he found it !!!
All 3 companies were knowledgeable, and highly rated on Unilocal,however, for flexibility, sense of urgency and outstanding customer experience I would recommend Ed and A Plus Garage Door !

This was my second time using A Plus Garage Door and both times dealt with Hamid. He was very professional and quick to fix the problems. The first time they needed to replace the springs and the second was just a maintenance call to fix a stubborn garage door. They are now my designated garage door guys. Hamid was also very patient and understanding as I sent a check to the wrong address and due to the mix up they got paid a month later. Sorry about that but after I received the returned check today it reminded me to post a review. thanks again.

I had an old pull out garage door replaced with with a roll up. Hamid was very prompt to answer my message via Unilocal and to actually come out to look at it and give me an estimate. Ed came to help take the measurements and I can’t tell you how nice and pleasant these guys are to deal with. I highly recommend them if you need a new garage door. I’m extremely happy with the finished product. Their installers are just as nice too and very thorough with instructions on how to program the door opener. A+ for A Plus Garage Door, they’re fantastic.

Great experience! With a short notice, Ed came out & replaced a busted up tension spring. Made some other adjustments. Greased it. And now it’s working like a champ again. I was told the price beforehand. It stayed the same. Garage door works like a champ again. Thanks Ed. You guys rock!

After wasting at least $ 1000 over the past four years on repeated service by Garage Masters and the maintenance department of our so-​called property management company, I called these guys hoping a local service, dedicated to garage door systems might actually help us solve our never-​ending issues with our door opener. It has been intermittently popping open and closed on its own.
Excellent, straightforward, knowledgeable service. What a relief. For a $ 95 service call, we received actual feedback, our concerns were respected, and the technician (I’m sorry I don’t remember his name) quietly and promptly began a process of elimination to determine if our door lift system could be repaired. He tried reprogramming our remotes in the unlikely case something else was triggering the door, then checked over the system and found some old wiring to a keypad we had long ago removed (GarageMasters told us three years before that was the problem and charged us to replace it with a number pad, but left the old wiring). When the first effort didn’t work out (door popped up again unexpectedly a couple weeks later), they came right back out again and tried one last thing (rewired our wall button) at no charge. When that didn’t work, we confidently agreed to install a new operator, wall button and number pad; it works very well and is extremely quiet compared to the old one.
Just beyond content and grateful to deal with a responsible local business. 10 stars.

I called this company first thing on a Monday morning as my garage door opener ceased functioning on the weekend. It is a 15-​year old model working on a solid and heavy single-​piece door with thick door coil springs. I thought perhaps the ½ hp motor had burned out. Hamid replied within an hour and he and Ed showed up at my house by noon the same day with all of the right tools and expertise. They quickly diagnosed the issue as misalignment from loose diagonal side brackets causing the door to hang up. They did a fast redesign and reinstallation of the brackets, serviced the runner, lubricated all moving parts and reprogrammed the remote opener. All work was done within 45 minutes. The entire mechanism is working better than ever before and should last me some more years. Both Hamid and Ed were very professional courteous and I would recommend them to anyone.

These guys are responsive and quick to the job. They know what they are doing and prices are fair. I had an elevator that other companies said they couldn’t repair (which I didn’t believe), but sure enough A Plus came to the rescue! They did a great quick job for a fraction of the cost. Best, they take credit card, check, or cash — ultra convenient if you’re not available to be there in person.

A-​plus was great — arrived on time, diagnosed and fixed the problem quickly then went above and beyond by oiling all hinges and inspecting mechanism stem to stern! Meticulous and clean — no mess to clean up after.

Responsive, fast service, friendly, professional, quality work and a fair price. What’s not to like about all of that? A quality business that deserves a spot at the top of the rankings.
And my garage door is no longer showing its age (it thinks it’s a kid again!)

Great service, trustworthy and prompt. Needed a new key pad and a tune-​up for my garage door. Called and spoke with Hamid. Very courteous and professional with service; gave me a very fair estimate for the work which he completed in less than 15 minutes. Made a few recommendations but never tried to up sell.

Our technician, Ed, came out when our garage door opener failed a few years ago. He gave me the options for fixing the issue and when I inquired about noise reducing options he had solutions for that too. I went with the noise reduction option which he had installed and operating quickly. The results were incredible — couldn’t hear the door opening when you were in the house anymore.
Then this week, an unrelated component of the garage door broke and we couldn’t get our car out. Ed came over at 7am the next day and replaced the component and gave the garage door opener a tune-​up at no charge.
I’d highly recommend A Plus Garage Door Company if you need your garage door or opener fixed. Awesome and honest service!

This was as good as it gets! I phoned this morning, and they were at my place as promised this afternoon.
The problem was to repair and service my 8 year old garage door that was malfunctioning.
They found several things to fix, and they did it promptly and perfectly. They are quite experienced and knowledgeable.
I am a very satisfied new customer, and highly recommend them!

These guys are great I called them with a faulty keypad around 2pm and then showed up the same day and replaced it. Boom. Now my garage door works. Hamid is neighborly and was honest about needed to be done. When the the time comes for a bigger garage door repair or replacement, these are the guys I will be calling!

They did Great work for me. Even came out a second time to help me fix a problem that one of the tentes caused and didn’t even charge me for the services call.
