I’ve used them a couple of times. They are not cheap but good plumbers are never cheap. Their Unilocal coupon helped. It was easy to schedule, they were prompt and on time, very knowledgeable and clean. I would use them again.

The plumber was very professional and peformed a great job on an extemely difficult job. My cartridge was calcified and fused with the brass pipe entirely. He patiently and yet carefully removed the center metal piece and scraped out all plastict and rubber piece by piece completely. He also answered every single question I have with expert knowledge throughoutly and even provided with more alternative and advices.
I’m 100% plus satisifed!

By far the most professional and highly skilled plumbers I’ve ever used. They have completed two jobs in my home and both times did excellent work. In addition, they went above and beyond after a contractor I hired inadvertently caused a gas leak. Though Nahman was not involved in creating the issue, they expedited getting a plumber out to me within a couple of hours. He was able to immediately resolve the problem and I was not charged. This is the epitome of customer service and professionalism. This is a relationship I value. I will never use another plumber and continue to refer Nahman to everyone. Reliable, efficient, highly skilled and professional. Exceptional customer service and all around nice people!

This plumbing company is the best ever! I cannot think of enough superlatives to express how happy I have been with their service. They may be a little more expensive, but they are worth every penny. They arrive promptly and all the workers have been polite, considerate and very sharp. My 92 year old mother, who is partially blind, lives alone in her home in the Berkeley Hills. As I live an hour away, I am not always able to be there when the plumber arrives. So I feel confident that Nahman’s will take care of her problem when I am not there.
We were lucky to have Sal on two occasions. The most recent time Sal came, my mother had a gas leak in her house. PGE came to turn-​off the gas, but did little else. Sal came the next day to do detective work, searching every single pipe joint and everywhere else for a possible leak. I was unable to be there with my mother that day. So Sal called me at intervals, updating me on his progress. I felt my mother was very well taken care of and the problem was resolved.
Nahman’s will even come on the weekend if you have an emergency. PGE neglected to re-​light the pilot light on my mother’s water heater. A Nahman’s guy came on Sunday morning to re-​light her water heater. She was relieved to have her hot water back on and I was too.

These guys are the greatest. They helped us out of a sewage-​overflow, did some sewer-​routing, & finally replaced our sewer-​lateral to the street.
When They did a video of the sewer line, we discovered a broken-​off snake, and they removed it. They do top-​notch work. I recommend them to all our friends. A big ‘Thank you’ to the Albert Nahman plumbing team, esp. Stanley & Alex.

It had been a year since our new Lennox heater was installed. I called Albert Nahman Plumbing and scheduled an appointment to have our heating and air conditioning serviced.
Our technician was Said. His knowledge of the subject and the units was impressive. He cleaned out the filter and checked that all was working properly. He gave us excellent advise on how to take of some minor problems.

Do you want to pay DOUBLE the hourly rate for plumbing services? I think not.
Do you want to have a tech state «I can’t guarantee it won’t leak.» I think not.
Yah, $ 250 for a sink installation is ridiculous. If I had the proper tools, I could do it myself in MAX 30 minutes. Then to have the tech say he wouldn’t stand by his work, that was the last straw.
I soooo wanted to use someone local, but unfortunately this is a very big company with very big overhead, as their fees suggest. I’m guessing all the guys have the BEST health coverage possible, or their Worker’s Comp expenses are extraordinarily high. Either way, it is better to go with a smaller company who cares about the individual customer.

Working with Albert Nahman Plumbing was really easy and I was impressed with how responsive Johnathan was over Unilocal.We had an unfortunate leak from our kitchen sink and couldn’t find anyone open on a Saturday, so I’m grateful someone was able to come out. Not only was Nathan really easy to work with, but he was happy to answer our questions about preventing leaks in our kitchen and in our bathroom as well. Also, if you’re a renter, they’re quick to talk things over with landlords to make sure everything’s squared away. Thank you very much for your help!

We were unfortunate enough in my apartment to wake up to a TOTALLY clogged household sewage system. It affected not just our apartment but our direct neighbors with all kinds of grossness. I called Albert Nahman and the woman on the phone was so courteous and said that they could get someone out in an hour, which I was so thankful for. José came in like, 45 minutes and assessed the situation and was able to provide us with a number of different quotes and options. Even though our apartment called, he was kind enough to pop over to my neighbors and realize that it was a problem with the entire system.
He kept a lively conversation, was such a quick worker and kept us informed 100% of the time. It was truly some of the best service I have ever received.
It was a little bit pricy, but frankly, replacing our toilet (and cleaning our bathroom tile randomly before setting it down, thank you!), snaking the ENTIRE system, coming early, and doing it all in just a few hours. I’m happy to pay a little more. Plus, it seems to be a family run operation, so I’m always happy to support.

We’ve called this company twice now and each time has been a PLEASURE. They have gone above and beyond to not only fix, but help troubleshoot the issues and lend advice. Their prices are not the cheapest, but they sure aren’t the highest: you will get what you pay for and MORE.
Anthony and Stanley were outrageously helpful, candid, supportive and resourceful. I hope to not have to call a plumber in the future, but this will be the company I call — hands down.

Tony C. is an awesome all-​around plumber, specializing in installing complex plumbing systems. He also excels at troubleshooting, and once he identifies a problem, finding a solution and often fixing it himself.
For example, we had issues with tap water temperature caused by a new tankless water heater. Tony designed and installed a recirculation system that took care of it. He also fixed a problem with faulty cycling of the recirculation pump. On another occasion, Tony, and his coworker Enrique, installed ductwork for an external upstairs air return chase to make our new furnace/​AC unit heat and cool more efficiently. They also installed and adjusted duct dampers to balance the temperature between the upstairs and downstairs spaces.
I recommend Tony to anyone anticipating updating or replacing water heaters, ductwork or HVAC units. Before bidding and starting a job, ask for Tony to review the anticipated work to make sure it gets done right.

These guys are super. Really great customer service, very professional and knowledgeable with a friendly staff.
The only reason they are not 5 stars is they are on the pricey side, but it’s worth it for piece of mind.

I had a gas leak in my kitchen, so PG&E had to shut off the gas for my entire apartment. My landlords had Carlos from Albert Nahman come on Thursday, and he stayed for about 5 minutes and sounded uncertain the entire time he was talking about what needed to be done to restore my gas. Instead of giving definitive answers, he said he needed another person to move the stackable washer/​dryer to repair the leaking pipe, and wouldn’t be able to come back until the following Monday. Mind you, without gas I couldn’t take a hot shower, use my oven/​stove to cook, or wash/​dry clothes.
After complaining to the company, my landlord was able to get two new guys, Stanley and Alex to come on Saturday. The difference between their visit and the first guy (Carlos) was like night and day. They turned a bad experience with their company into an outstanding experience. I seriously cannot say enough good things about these guys. They were professional, courteous, and so knowledgeable!
I had questions about other plumbing related things, and they were able to easily help me fix my kitchen sink drip and my bathroom sink faucet spraying everywhere. Because of Stanley and Alex, I’d highly recommend this company.

Hired Albert Nahman to come install a Rinnai tankless /​on-​demand water heater at my home. Since that moment, we have had nothing but issues and I can’t believe that these positive Unilocal reviews are primarily made up of fake accounts as there were just too many issues to assume that they normally get it right.
The price to hire Albert Nahman was literally twice as much as other plumbers but they promised they could do the job right away, so I hired them. Unfortunately, they didn’t honor their word and I could have had the same exact job done by another Rinnai authorized plumber for half the price.
Here are some of the many issues we encountered (I should note that to date the system is still not functioning as promised and the owner has been on vacation):
— Job promised to happen on a Friday. Due to «emergencies» at Albert Nahman, they cancelled on us and rescheduled for following Wednesday.
— Job was promised to take no more than 2 days. It has already taken 3 FULL days and their are still issues.
— Job was not done correctly. Plumbers didn’t know how to properly install the system and made a few very big mistakes.
#1: They didn’t connect the system to my existing hot water recirculating pipes. Oops!
#2: They forgot to take out some of the packaging plugs/​caps and the system kept turning itself off. They had to send a tech out the following day and he found they had closed up the device without properly installing it. We had no hot water from afternoon of one day to following day when they figured out what they did wrong.
#3: Yet another day we had no hot water (for 2 days total) because of a faulty earthquake shutoff that they installed on the side of our house.
— Plumbers were promised at 8:30am on 2^nd day of install. I received an email confirming it. Then the night before I received a call saying it would be 9:30am arrival. At 9:45am I contacted the company and finally at 10:30am (1 or 2 hours late, depending on how you look at it), the plumbers finally arrived. Needless to say, this negatively impacted my work day.
— The plumbers literally drove their van into a garbage can that was in front of house for trash day, and they didn’t bother to pick it up. They also dragged our recycling can on top of our plants so they could better park their van. When I saw the can knocked over and the other one killing the plants, I reviewed our home surveillance system and verified it was them.
— We now hear the machine turning on & off and I am awoken in the morning to the sound of water continuously rushing through my walls. From my home office — where I sit now — I can hear the machine humming and can also hear water rushing through the walls. Our previous recirculating system was quiet and I can’t help but wonder if they messed up yet another component during the install of the machine. I should note they told me I would not hear the machine.
— Recognizing the job was not (and still is not) done correctly — and issues were still outstanding — we received an email asking if they could charge our card for $ 7,000+ to pay the balance for the install of the system. I wrote back in no uncertain terms that they were NOT authorized to charge my card as the job was not complete. Regardless, they charged my card. When I called the company to ask about what happened, they apologized and promised to refund it. A few days later it hadn’t been refunded and I called again and was told that the owner «Albert» did not authorize them to refund it and he should have called me last week, which he didn’t. Apparently he is now on vacation.
So…long story short, I would strongly advise getting another reputable plumbing company to give you a quote for whatever job you’re looking to do. You’ll definitely save yourself some $$$ and you may also save yourself from a headache.

Jose @ Albert Nahman Plumbing has come out twice to my mother’s house and has been so easy to work with on both occasions.
First for a smallish job — the company called me back, confirmed timing, sent an email, and Jose showed up right on time. He evaluated the job, set my expectations, and gave me feedback at the end. I paid right there by credit card via his iPad.
While there I had him take a look at a second project I’d been meaning to tackle. He gave me a very quick and (I thought) fair estimate. Again it was a breeze to schedule, a narrow arrival window, a reminder — and he was there! The job was quickly completed and in the process he also caught (and repaired) an unknown leak. He followed up by phone, as I’d left the jobsite, and I paid by phone.
The best parts here are punctuality, setting expectations, leaving a clean job site, and giving coherent feedback. Making payment a one-​step process helps, too. And to have someone who is actually courteous and careful is a deeply appreciated bonus. I recommend Jose & Albert Nahman very highly!
