ABC Shuttle Service

I’ve used ABC Shuttle twice. Once with my family and once for a business trip by myself. Both times they were a half hour late. I gave them a second chance and was smart enough to schedule them a half hour before I would really leave for the airport. When I called them after 15 mins to find out if I had a ride coming the person on the phone kept saying «no worries» «no problem.» Being late is a problem.

ABC apparently does not know about the Americans with Disabilities ACT. They should. It is federal law. They should inform themselves immediately.
ABC apparently requires a person to have a mobile phone. Many of us who have hearing impairments do not pay for mobile phones because we hear far better over land lines.
If you do not have a mobile you are supposed to go to the information desk to find out where there is a telephone so you can call your driver. Has any of their staff every done that?
Thumbs down on any business that ASSUMES all people have mobile phones. All people do not!

Shuttle arrived perfectly on time and made record time to SFO– 20 minutes!

TERRIBLE
I booked with them on August 13 and a pick up on August 17. I was left stranded at SFO along with my son and disabled husband. A very rude man started telling me that he couldn’t find us even though we stayed at the place we were told for over an hour. He then called me and said that I better find someway to get home. These people are evil and very unprofessional. I wouldn’t recommend them to an enemy. They basically stole my payment and left me to find a way home in the middle of the night.
Don’t ever use ABC shuttle.

Our experience with ABC Shuttle, our first, was extremely positive. We had a 4 am pickup for which the driver was entirely on time. After a few minutes of driving we had to return home to retrieve a missed item, a reversal that was done with efficiency and grace. The ride was smooth and uneventful. We would use them again without hesitation.

DON’T DO IT!
I booked ABC Shuttle for a return airport service from Brentwood to SFO on June 9, 2015 for a pick up at 7am on June 15, 2015. We needed to be at the airport by 9am so that gave enough leeway to take in traffic and allow for a stress free ride. Service was for 4 adults and 1 child. I woke at 6am, my doorbell rang at 6.15am with the driver saying he was here early as he had to pick up another passenger off of Railroad Avenue. I told him we weren’t prepared to leave early, nor were we told there was another passenger but we would be out a soon as we could. We were in the vehicle, my parents in their 70’s and my two children, 17 and 12, by 6.50am. My kids were crammed into a seat in the back which would have suited 1 adult or two slim children under 10 only, my Dad sat in the front seat and my mom and I in the middle. The space between my mom and I was appropriate for a child only IMO, so we knew we would be crammed in. The van was dirty, old water bottles were left in the door and my Dad had to clean the inside windshield to even see out. We get stuck in Highway 4 traffic and this extra person to pick up lives in Clayton, he rang our driver two times as the driver was running late and the driver responded abruptly with «stay there, I’ll be there soon» and then hangs up. The driver speeds through a residential area doing 50 through a 30 zone to get to his house to find out that he’s already left. So the drive contacts him, the passenger decides to return, we’re shoved in like sardines and finally head to the airport. By some miracle we arrive right at 9am, but not in a relaxed state and not the best way to start our vacation.
Under the right circumstances I try and give a negative situation a second chance, so we kept our reservation in place for the return trip home from the airport — big mistake. Our flight arrived 10 minutes early, so I wait to call until we get to the baggage claim area which puts us at the original arrival time of 1.50pm. I call the number as prearranged and the driver said he is «minutes away» and to collect our luggage and go to the meeting place at Courtyard 3 at SFO. At 2.10pm there is no sign of the driver, nor have I received a call so I call him. He’s on Hwy 101 so clearly is not «minutes away». As I’m with my parent’s and kids, I suggest that he calls me when he gets here so we can at least go and sit down and get a cup of coffee while we wait. We finally get the call that he’s arrived and we’re in the van, fortunately with no surprise passengers this time and heading home at 2.45pm.
This business is very poorly run, the vehicles are unclean and the driver’s seem to have very little respect for their passengers. I would avoid this company at all costs.

Booked a round trip ride for a family of 5. First leg was from Emeryville to the SF port for a cruise. Then a return from SFO back of Emeryville a few days later. Hasan picked us up at exactly the time specified. Then got us to the port in a timely fashion. Our flight back got delayed and we called the phone number specified when we landed in SFO. Hasan was already waiting and he specified where we should go as soon as we got our baggage. The car was right where he said it would be and we promptly got home. In terms of the service and value we got, I would highly recommend ABC. I would use them again without hesitation if I had similar needs in the future.

We booked them for a late night pickup at Oakland airport but the flight was delayed. They reversed the credit card charge with no fuss.

Avoid this company at all costs! I followed their «Golden Rule» and called immediately when my plane landed. The driver muttered something about baggage and hung up. I didn’t check baggage, so I called again when I got outside the airport. The driver told me to go to Courtyard 3, without explaining what that was or how I should find it, then hung up on me again. After an airport employee helped me find it, I waited in Courtyard 3 for 20 minutes. The driver never showed, so I called him again. He told me he was in the airport, but couldn’t tell me how long he would be. He was clearly lying. When he didn’t show for another 15 minutes, I was forced to find another ride home. So there you have it — rude, lying, and incompetent. You have other options for airport transportation. Do yourself a favor and use them.

The early morning/​late night driver of this shuttle service is not one to trust in driving. When we were about to be picked up to go to the SF airport, he had a hard time locating our address which could be easily found with GPS and the number of the apartment complex is in bold located in front of the building facing the street. My son had to go out on the street to flag him. His driving is horrendous! He swerved from one lane to another and it seemed like he was tired and sleepy. This happened on both pick up from the house and airport. BTW, the van smells! We had to occasionally open the windows to let the fresh air flow inside the vehicle.

Booked ABC shuttle to SFO from Alameda. Z Junior arrived 5 minutes early, called to let us know he was out front and loaded our luggage into the car for us. Z very pleasant, got to the airport in plenty of time and set our bags for us curbside. Easy booking on website. Highly recommend and will definitely use again!

I booked a shuttle to the airport with ABC Shuttle Service through their website — it was as easy and efficient as it can get. Our driver was early and waiting for an early Sunday morning pickup and they sent me a nice black sedan (instead of their clean blue mini van I was expecting). which was nice — spacious, clean, comfortable with leather, including tinted windows in case you need to travel incognito and a fresh travel size bottle of water.
Our driver Zee was courteous, a good driver and since it was early in the morning we just had a pleasant quiet ride to the airport. I really like that it’s a pre-​arranged fixed fee (I added gratuity) so you get direct service and don’t even have to deal with a transaction at the end when you’ve got other travel distractions on your mind.
Overall great service and a great price. Will definitely use again and recommend to friends.
I highly recommend booking online, as you receive all of the details in an email andI am sure it’s preferred for ABC as well.

Consider this a warning. I had used ABC twice in the past with no problem. Well there was a problem last week. I arrived at LAX from Mexico and found out that my flight was delayed. I called the office as soon as I found out. Again before boarding and I third time when delayed on the tarmac. Each time I spoke with someone personally to give an update on the departure and arrival time. When I arrived at SFO and turned my phone on I had a text from the driver saying that he was there waiting for me but it was an hour earlier. I did not receive this text because I was in flight. Nobody relayed the message to the driver that my flight was delayed so he left. I had been up since 4 AM and was exhausted. After traveling all day with layovers and delays I was completely stranded. I called the ABC office multiple times and they had the nerve to blame it on me. I will NEVER use this company again for anything. I would suggest that you consider another alternative.

To avoid paying for a rental car and the crazy parking rates in the Wharf, we took ABC from and back to the SFO airport last week. We had some internet snafus when we made the reservation online, but ultimately got everything worked out. When we got to the van at SFO with our 4 suitcases and 4 golf bags, the driver got in the back of the van and pointed to which bag he wanted first. With every other airport shuttle I’ve ever taken, the driver always loaded the bags and insisted we not touch them — not the case here! So we finally got all of the bags handed to him in the van and he finagled everything in there — back, front, and every space in between! The seats aren’t typical bench seats like in most vans, but instead fold down almost like folding chairs. Perhaps this is a function of the handicapped accessibility, but it was pretty uncomfortable, especially with some of our luggage resting against our feet. We attempted to make small talk with the driver, but that wasn’t in the cards either — maybe it was cultural, maybe he just wasn’t chatty. He then picked us up from the Wharf 4 days later, with the same demeanor and lack of helpfulness in loading the luggage.
Did he show up when he said he was going to? Yes. Did he call 30 minutes beforehand to confirm pick-​up? Yes. Did he get us where we needed to go in a timely manner? Yes. Would I use them again? No. The loading of our own luggage and the discomfort of the van really put us off.

They were right on time I called them them. The price is better than all competitors. Overall, I really recommend ABC after my fiend couldn’t pick me up to airport. They came right away, despite the short 30 minute notice. Will definitely be using their services again.

I have used this service twice. I finally gave up and am writing this review to let people know how difficult this agency is. On both departures, my ride was late. The driver routinely violates the law by driving and talking on the phone — holding his iPhone or other device, sending text messages, and initiating calls, and speaking very loudly in a foreign dialect. The service will also regularly call my phone by mistake, confusing my information with someone else’s that they are doing business with.
But, my last interaction with them was the last straw: I called to reconfirm my reservation and the driver thought my departure time was my arrival time — and when I did land in San Francisco and called, the response was, «You don’t have to get a bag? I’m in Berkeley and I’ll have to find some way to get you.» In short, there was some other plan to honor my reservation, which I had already reconfirmed four hours prior.
With that, I booked another ride, got home on time, and vowed to never, ever use this service again.

My son was a freshman at UC Berkeley last year. He used ABC shuttle several times. They always picked him up on time and were always there on the return trip to take him back to the dorms. The drivers are friendly and rates reasonable. We have never had a problem. ABC shuttle is the best!

My husband and I had used ABC shuttle to Oakland and to SFO when traveling.
Yes, the guys accent was very hard to understand, and yes, he was often very abrupt and rude, but he got us to the airport, so we continued to use him.
Our last trip is the last time, we went, in September, to Talum, Mexico for a vacation.
The rude and abrupt driver dropped us off @ SFO and I said that we would be back in 10days, please pick us us about 11:00pm.
When we returned, after clearing Customs, I called ‘Rude & Obnixious’ and he said to meet him. on the 1^st floor of the Airport. We went down to the 1^st floor. It was deserted, with a no-​way back in type of door.
I told my husband «this is creepy, and I don’t feel right about this».
I called ‘R&O’ back, and in his very accent started Screaming ~ [like I’m goin understand him more clearly if he SCREAMS !!!]…
He said to keep walking up the side [there was no sidewalk here with a lot of bright headlights /​cars approaching us].
I said «No Way»…Come up to where you dropped us off, ~we are here”… He started Screaming Again [!!]. and I just hung up on him… and we took another shuttle home.
Our advice: Don’t use ABC shuttle. the price may be alittle lower but the guy who does most of the pick-​ups and drives the van doesn’t care how he talks to you, drives at times, like a maniac and isn’t reliable in picking you up or care about your feelings.
We just found Corporate Limo Services which offer Airport Services for$ 59.00 to SFO; and $ 39.00 to Oakland Airport and will try this next time we need airport services.

My husband and I have used this shuttle service at least 5 times at all hours of the day since we moved here 2 years ago. In all the times we’ve used them we’ve never experienced any major problems. So here’s why we continue to use them:
–AFFORDABLE. For $ 25, we were able to transport myself, husband, baby, and our many bags/​car seat/​stroller from our place to the OAK airport. I believe to SFO it’s $ 49 (for all 3 of us). It’s the cheapest price in town. Far cheaper than any other shuttle/​taxi (and all our stuff would have never fit in to a taxi car).
–They don’t charge per person (as most shuttle services do). It’s one flat fee if you’re getting picked up and dropped off at the same places. We love this since we are a 3 person family.
–PROMPT. The shuttle service has always been on time (I think once he was maybe 2 minutes late which isn’t a big deal, but I was also late coming out once so that makes us even).
CONS:
–Yes, the owner (or whoever takes the calls) does have a thick accent which can be hard to understand. This is why I try to do all my communication with him by e-​mail so there are no misunderstandings.
–They guarantee that you will not share your shuttle with anyone else. Well, we made a last minute reservation and we ended up sharing the van with another person. He did warn us, but it would have been nice (and good customer service) if they could have offered a discount for sharing what we thought would be a private shuttle.
NOTE: They’ve upgraded to a proper shuttle van with logos and all (they use to use a car or mini van as a shuttle when they were first starting out)…although I think they use their smaller vehicles to transport smaller numbers of people to save on gas. Makes sense.

Going back home to Los Angeles for the first time, I was really anticipating my departure from NorCal. Having to finish up some things for a student program I’m part of, I didn’t have time to catch the Bart to make it in time for my flight on Friday. So I decided to call in. A man with a very thick accent answered and with very low reception service on my phone it made it sorta frustrating to communicate and understand really well.
I asked him if he was free to pick me up in half an hour and he agreed choosing 10 minutes till 1pm. That gave me 20 minutes to finish packing and get myself out of the apartment. 20 minutes later, I was packed and awaiting his arrival… a solid 12 minutes after 12:50pm, he finally calls saying he’s waiting outside. I go outside to find no shuttle in sight. After waiting outside for a little bit I decided to go back inside. Then after a couple of minutes I decided to head back outside and I see him arriving a street away from my place. Wowww, way to be late!
He pulled up a little closer and the man Zee slowly came out of his seat and helped me with luggage. I opened the door myself and he gets in the shuttle… and drives. And boy does he DRIVE. It freaked me out looking over my shoulder and seeing how many times he almost hits the car to his left when he changes lanes (obviously that is a blind spot he really should work on). I tried to make conversation but he replied with one word answers. A lil awkward but I knew he was really concentrating on driving and getting me there on time.
At a little past 1:25 pm he arrives at the Oakland Airport to drop me off. He hurried me out of the car and I paid and thanked him.
$ 25 for all of this. Much cheaper than taxis that’s for sure.
1 star off for not so friendly service.
1 star off for being late.
I would call again if I can’t catch Bart. If you’re looking for a service to just get you there and don’t care about customer service, ABC Shuttle is the go to!
