Established in 2007.
Though we incorporated in 2007, Paul Cooper and Larry Giustino have been designing and installing solar projects since 1979. Such as the 12 thermal systems on the main UC Berkeley Coop buildings, Barrington, Cloyne Court, Ridge, Rochdale, etc.

My introduction to solar, specifically photovoltaics started back in 1965. Bell Telephone Labs lead a Solar in the Schools program in Southern California. Four students myself included, were selected to actually manufacture a solar cell under the supervision of the visiting physicist, from silicon ingot to the small finished pie shaped quarter disk with little #22 gauge red and black leads soldered on. It produced about .5 volts in full sun. The same basic technology, some 44 years later, is still used today. Some folks ask if it lasts. While I don’t still have that original small PV cell, I do have a fully working 12 volt module from the mid– 70’s. Even with a small fracture in the glass, it still works great! Though, I pretty much suspected that when I was eleven. To be continued…
