I have lived in Oregon for over 30 years. I have a wonderful Wife who has the full time job of raising our son Ethan and daughters Kahlan, Hannah and Ally. I enjoy taking in the outdoors with my family, both locally and internationally when I am not serving my clients or enjoying a great meal with friends and family.

Over my long tenure in the mortgage industry I have built a large portfolio of clients and have gained immeasurable experience with numerous loan scenarios. I have always enjoyed Real Estate and having knowledge in the financial portion of the business allows me to advise my clients with experience. I also take a look at my client’s whole financial picture and how their mortgage can help them create potential tax savings and long term financial wealth.

I take great pride in offering my clients competitive financing options for their Real Estate Loans. I feel confident that I offer great service and added value to the clients I serve.

Chris is my hero! He swooped in and saved the day! When buying my dream home he made everything come together smoothly, which was so refreshing because I had gone thru 3 other brokers trying to buy the home. Many hurdles to jump, but the appraisal process for each lender was the hardest. They each said «2 months out» due to rural area. I was feeling defeated but then I saw on Unilocal Chris had great reviews so I put all my faith in him! He stepped in, found an appraiser quickly and kept me in the loop! Even when there was nothing to report– he would check in. Before I had Chris on board the whole process was a nightmare that had already taken 2 months! But he quickly «sailed the ship all the way home» and it was nothing but smooth waters! Thank you Chris you have no idea how much I appreciate all you did for me.
I can’t say enough about how great he was. Reliable, consistent, so nice, very available and had excellent customer service! He never made anything seem impossible– he went above and beyond expectations. We are loving our log cabin in La Pine, especially the many feet of snow! You made this happen! Thank you for making me feel like I was your number one priority and for acting so quickly and diligently! You rock! 10 stars if u could!

Excellent experience! Chris Starling made the often arduous process of buying a home feel very easy. As a first time home buyer, I had numerous questions and concerns and Chris answered all of them promptly and with a high degree of clarity.
As a current or future Bendite, it is also great to chat with someone who is out living the «dream» lifestyle (skiing, hiking, craft beer drinking, family man, etc.). I was very impressed with Chris and I highly recommend him. I will definitely be contacting him again for my next home purchase.

Chris at Arbor Mortgage was extremely helpful and professional. He did a detailed analyses of several rates, points and options for us so we could determine the best plan for down payment and what our monthly payment would be. He was very responsive and always got back to us in a timely manner with all of our questions. He constantly kept us up to date about timelines and communications with our realtor and lender. He showed up at our closing! Just in case we had questions. I feel its important to trust your mortgage person whole heartedly with all the details and best rates.
