July 9. My daughter was just out of the hospital from jaw surgery on the 8th, had not eaten for over 24 hours and was wanting a chocolate shake, we stopped and ordered a Half price ice cream cone, a chocolate shake no whipped cream and a chocolate malt .the young lady asked if I wanted to add that to my order and I said no, that is my order then thought I misheard her say it was $ 17.so I called back and got another young lady who read back my order that included all kinds of cones and I assured her that NO that is not my order. It comes out and I hand her a $ 20 intending to let her keep the coins and she asked if I had a nickel. I did and let her have it and really hope it was her first day. I know I was very tired from spending the night in hospital but geez…

For 13 dollars, I got 3 small shakes that were ¾ filled and looked like crap! To add insult to injury, the ice cream was all wrong. Sonics has a good product, they need people who actually care about food and beverage to fill those positions or else regular folks like us will stop shelling out high dollar for mediocre. We will not be going back.

I will start at the very beginning. When I pushed the red button a very unfriendly voice came over the speaker. I don’t think she even said her name. I told her my order: 1 large mango sweet tea, 1 medium cheese tatter tots, 1 small French fries and 1 chocolate milk with and empty cup to pour the milk in. I even repeated the last part back to her. She follows with«your total is blah blah blah» never even repeating my order or asking if that was everything. A few minutes later a different girl brings my food out. I ask her where the milk is and she looks complete lost. So I looked at what she’d brought out. 1 medium sweet tea, 1 cup of ice, 1 medium tatter tots with cheese and a medium French fries. Only 1 thing was right! My tots were right and they were hot and delicious. My fries were wrong and they were hard and very cold. My tea was wrong all together and I don’t know where the cup of ice came from. If my car hop and order taker would have been even semi friendly I wouldn’t be as upset. Over all just a poor experience.

We ordered a #7 medium combo. We were charged full price. We did not get charged the combo price. The assistant manager, Jonah, explained that during the Happy Hour for drinks that the combo’s are not available. I explained that it did not state that fact on any of the ordering station. This Sonic has always been sub standard. We get better food at the Sonic in Cedar Creek. That is where we will go from now on.

The service is always stellar here. The food is pretty good for fast food, a lot better than the Sonic I went to in northern New Jersey. The lady that usually serves me is friendly and polite, and never once showed any signs of annoyance whenever a simple mistake happened(i.e. diet coke instead of coke) and she was always willing to fix it.

Great drinks! I always get flavored drinks and they know how to make ‘em. Minus one for taking away the apple juice slush– it’s the franchiser for the area and other Sonics have it. I don’t go to Sonic for the food, never have, but my son always asks for their corn-dogs. So if you normally would eat Sonic food, then give it a go. everyone has their good days and bad. Kudos for keeping the skating tradition!

So, for health reasons, my husband and I eat fast food only about once every couple of months. We were therefore looking forward to our trip to Sonic this evening … I’d literally been thinking about what I’d order for weeks. I ordered a chicken club toaster sandwich(no lettuce) with onion rings and a cherry limeade. He got an extra long coney with cheese tots and strawberry limeade. We were not impressed by this Sonic. My sandwich appeared to be without lettuce when I checked it in the car, but when we got home I saw that it had lettuce(and onion? the sandwich doesn’t even come with onions) remnants between the chicken and the toast. The tomatoes on it were the worst I’d ever seen. One was a pale brown-white. The other was pale pink-white. I don’t think either was edible … they went in the trash when I got home. I guess I understand why they still put them on the sandwich … having worked in fast food 10+ years ago, I do still remember that if you leave something off that people want, of course they’ll complain about that. But they should at least have thrown away the brownish tomato. My onion rings were okay, I guess they are supposed to be super-sweet. They were in a small portion, but I really don’t care since they are extremely unhealthy anyway. By the time I got the lettuce fragments and the tomatoes off of the sandwich, it was pretty cold. It was okay for a cold sandwich I guess. My husband was disappointed to see that his coney contained two short franks rather than one large one. Is that what Sonic is doing these days for an «extra-long cheese coney?» Jeez. On the other hand, his tots with cheese were the best thing we ordered, as they were still hot and tasted good as expected. Our drinks were extremely watered-down tasting … I might have guessed that mine was supposed to be cherry, but I definitely wouldn’t have known it was in the limeade family. I’m sure we’ll end up at this Sonic again at some point(I mean, I’ve been going to it since my mom moved to Bastrop in 1999), but we might be sticking to drinks there for the forseeable future(we’ve enjoyed the lemonberry slush and the ocean water here in the past).
