WEDDINGFLOWERS! Juliet and Silvia were just outstanding. I don’t care much about flowers and wasn’t going to do any at all but my mother vetoed that right away. So I agreed to do bouquets, boutonnieres, and corsages for the the bridal party and moms. I went in with zero clues or desires about my flowers and didn’t want to «waste» any portion of my budget on them. These ladies were so kind and patient with me and weren’t offended by my lack of interest in their passion. Juliet ended up being the one I worked with more because Silvia was just crazy busy and boy did that work out great. She did a test bouquet for me and I ran up to review it and it was just beautiful. These ladies got me excited about my flowers which I didn’t think was possible. They were just lovely and on the day of the wedding I wished I had more flowers everywhere! They were super affordable compared to other florists. I know Bastrop can be a little out of the way(my wedding was in North Austin) but the drive was totally worth it!

This is the closest store to Round Rock that sells Prasek’s meat products, we bought an ice chest full and we’re rationing it out… summer sausage regular and with jalapeño and cheese, beef and pork sausage, dry sausage for snacking on… if you ever get near El Campo, stop at their little store… try the pan sausage, jalapeño and cheese bread… you’ll thank me later. Posted a pic of what we bought… don’t slobber on your phone/‘puter too much… just sayin’…

Stopped in this morning to grab my weekly groceries. The employees were very helpful as I did have to stop and ask a couple of them questions, one to do with a coupon given to me from the previous weeks shopping trip. I’m able to find pretty much everything I need as far as groceries. I’m very happy that HEB decided to PLUS size our store. Thank you!

The 1 star is only for the Floral Dept. I like shopping at this HEB, however I had a very bad experience with the floral department. The manager in the floral department might use some training as she is not professional! I went in on a Thursday morning requesting a wristlet for a Saturday prom, spoke to Sylvia in person, all she wanted to tell me was that it was too late and how busy they were! she took my number and said she would check to see if they had time to make it by Saturday she did call about an hour later and told me they would make it because they hate to disappoint the high school kids. I was very grateful and could not thank her enough. Saturday afternoon I called before going to pick it up to make sure it was ready… No one knew anything about it, they could not find it! I asked to speak to Sylvia because she was the one that I had spoken to, she gets on the phone and said she does not recall talking to me and goes on and on about how many customers she talks to in the day blah blah blah. I tried to reminder of the events prior to me ordering it but it got me nowhere. She asked if I had already paid for it and I said no she never asked me to pay for it at the time of the order cuz I could have very well have done that! Basically they sold my wristlet out from under me! This is my first time ever buying a prom wristlet and it’ll be my last buying one there! Side note: she appeared very franctically rushed and unorganized, it is scary to know that they do wedding flowers!

I’m used to the incredible HEBs in Houston. By those standards, this one falls a bit short. The selection is a bit limited, on the whole. Plus, the store is undergoing a massive renovation and is a bit of a mess. On the other hand, it’s in Bastrop, and if you need something when visiting Bastrop, it must be the best option. Certainly, I got what I needed.

This grocery store is so good that it’s busy any time of the day I need to do shopping. The store itself has everything you really need. Deli, bakery, pharmacy, clothes, gifts, toiletries, and of course food. Selections is decent. Prices are more than reasonable. The only thing is that people in this town need to respect personal space, because people tend to hover as you’re trying to look at stuff, but that’s not the store’s fault.(Yeah… I said that)

So I’m a major HEB fan, so keep that in mind. This one, it’s okay. We were staying at Lost Pines and needed some supplies for the room, so we drove ahead to this HEB to grab some stuff. Good things included it being super sample day(oh yum on the sushi rolls and dumplings!), it being in the middle of nowhere where it was needed, and HEB prices being generally reasonable. The bad news… for this particular location, the set up is not great at all. I hate it when some of the HEBs pull the Ikea trap and make you walk through every aisle to get where you want to be, and this one does exactly that. The aisles are crowded and there are just way too many people in that place, including the checkout lines. Instead of wasting so much space on the little eating café in the middle of the store(where no one was), they should really expand some of the aisle space. This location lacked a lot of my favorite deli buys and was pretty basic, but we were able to get most of what we needed. Not fantastic HEB, but super glad it was there since Lost Pines was Pepsi products only and our Diet Coke purchases from HEB were absolutely vital to our survival!
