I just want everyone to know something about being a veteran. The state of NV now puts VETERAN in your license if you can show you are a Veteran. I gave them my discharge papers and wallah. So yesterday to show my pride I stopped in for a cup of coffee at the USO at BWI airport. Of course I was going to give a little extra to help those worse off than me. I told the lady I didn’t see where I would sign and she said just put your name down and we would figure it out. So I did. The lady then said show me your ID and I proudly pulled out my Drivers License from NV that shows I’m a Veteran. She said oh we don’t take licenses. I said it shows that I’m a VETERAN right here. She said no I cannot accept this. She said if you have a DAVID then you can come in. I could have shown my CAC to show that I was a Government contractor but I accepted her rejection like many veterans around the US does. For the first time in my life I finally see what our veterans struggle with just because I wanted a coffee.

This was my first USO to visit, and I loved it both times we visited. All of the volunteers are so helpful and sweet. They went out of their way to help carry my luggage upstairs to the AMC terminal(I had a large car seat, child in stroller, and two huge suitcases). They had a large variety of food early on, but as the day went they options decreased. I would give them an easy 5 star except for the size. This is a small USO in my opinion so it makes for a very cramped place to relax if you have three huge military rotators awaiting departure, and this is the easiest and most convenient place to relax and stretch your legs until your plane leaves.

Friendly Staff! Awesome place to hang out if not to crowded! Storage room for luggage was great! Great variety of stuff to eat!

This place can get crowded! Every seat was taken up, but I think the USO brings out the best in people. People were sharing outlets, chargers, giving things away to deploying soldiers, and I have nothing but great things to say about the staff. Thank you for helping out the often forgotten soliders, sailors, and airmen of the US military. I very much appreciated a place to sit and kill time waiting for my flight, surrounded by great people and refreshments.

AWESOME!!! awesome!!! This has to be one of teh better set up USOs as in how welcoming it looks. Well lit and well organized. The people who run it was husband and wife when I got there. They have ice cream, food, girl scout cookies all for free!!! I couldn’t believe it. Was a welcome to see when your tired from a flight and hungry. Especially if you have to wait for your ride. If I can give this place a con in comparison to other USo is that it’s not 24 hours. They close at 2200hrs.
