I eat Subway every week. Not always at this location(hey, sometimes I’m out of town!) and the chain always a decent option for relatively healthy and inexpensive sandwiches. This location however, is my absolute favorite. Perhaps it’s because I’m in there all the time and they know my face but all of the workers have been friendly and sociable. They probably think I’m crazy though for ordering the same thing every time. Anyway, they’re always fast and this seems to be the one Subway that gets the proportions correct. The right amount of sauce, my tomatoes are never flying off the sandwich or dripping, and my toasted bread is never burned or under-toasted. The location is great and I’m going to keep coming by.

Eat fresh man, because this is a typical Subway. Nothing special. Fun fact: This Subway store is one of FOUR Subways on Charles Street in a mile stretch(yes you read right). Start at the Subway(next to the Chipotle & Starbucks) a little north of this location and go south to 36 S. Charles Street. Count the Subways fool! FOUR!

This is the only place I have been able to buy single small bags of lays light potatoe chips. Cost only 99 cents. Bag. I’m trying to watch my weight.

(10/21/2011) OK, it’s a chain, one Subway is much like another. There’s a Quizno’s nearby, but every once in a while, I just like a bunch of crunchy vegetables on my sandwich, and at Subway, they have lots. Comparatively, the subs are cheap, too. Be forewarned, for some reason, this particular Subway has a heavy hand with the yellow mustard.

Why do you eat at Subway? You do so not because it is great. You do so because the food is passable, cheap, and most importantly quick. So when I went to this location I was a little surprised. There were a handful of patrons sitting at the front of this store eating their food, and absolutely no one in line. None of the servers were behind the counter. Instead three of them were standing in the prep area chowing down on some soup or chili. I waited patiently for one of them to come out from their hiding space but none were forthcoming. Two of them even made eye contact with me, but proceeded to continue with their snack/meal. I started counting out loud. I got to sixty then left. Although I’m sure they are not paid well, but this kind of response gives me the impression like they don’t care. I went to Jay’s instead where despite them almost closing they happily made me a sandwich. Subway, smarten up!
