Established in 2010.

Lawyer and former State Legislator David Shapiro had a dream to open a deli and café serving foods he loved to prepare and eat so in March 2010, Shapiro’s Café was born.

Business Owner

Born and raised in Baltimore, David is 57, married to Sarah and they have three amazing daughters, 2 in college and one in high school. David served in the Maryland State Legislature for 10 years and has been practicing law in Maryland for more than 23 years. After more than two years of operation of Shapiro’s Café, David, along with his partner, Chef Chris Cherry, is launching Culinary C’Arts, a mobile food truck in Baltimore serving gourmet food at reasonable prices.
