About a year ago, we adopted our sweet rescue dog. She came from a very bad situation and her rescue (Big Fluffy Dogs) spent many months bringing her to health and teaching her trust. We adore her. She loves us… well, except for the Young ‘Un. He’s scary for her. We had worked with another trainer who was very competent and nice, however we didn’t get lasting peace. Our girl loved the Young ‘Un as long as he was dropping chicken treats.
Enter Larry Fine. He came to our home, interacted with both our dogs and us, and yes, really helped us understand the cognitive processes going on. HIs method seeks willing compliance from our canines based out of understanding and respect, not out of fear. He’s patient and kind and very good at showing us what to do and how to do it. The results — well, so far, WOW. Already both of them and we are connecting better, they know what we expect and are responding happily and peacefully.
Larry does not require that you sign up for a six pack of sessions or have multiple visits costing hundreds of dollars. He has an initial visit, gives you a series of online instruction courses to advance your practice, and is available if needed for future face to face sessions. That’s nice, because owning an animal is expensive enough.
