TRU dance offers classes for everyone! We have children enrollment classes and teen/​adult drop-​in classes. We offer Vinyasa Yoga, Flex and Strength, Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Contemporary and so much more! Our classes are open and students can always expect quality teachers and training.

History

Established in 2012.

TRU dance Project was founded by Meghan Bowman. She wanted to bring quality dance education and performance to the Austin community. TRU dance Project is home of the professional dance company, TRU dance Company. TRU dance is a non-​profit organization who’s goal is to bring dance into every home. They are a non-​profit dance studio that educates the community through the power of dance and song in Austin, Texas. TRU entertains the masses and encourages individuality through its performers and the people who support them. TRU promotes the performing arts through performances and workshops.

Meet the Business Owner

Meghan B.

Business Owner

Meghan began her dance training at her mother’s dance studio. She was chosen train with and assist for the late G. Webster Smith, the junior Olympic figure skating coach. She has competed for many dance competitions, placing overall as a soloist. Meghan has performed in industrials for Taco Bueno and Galderma, and was lead dancer for «Urban Dance and Cheer,» an instructional hip hop DVD. Radio Disney star, Jer-​Z, hand-​picked Meghan to be one of her back-​up dancers. She was cast as Frenchy in a production of Grease in Dallas. In Austin, she has performed with Ballet East Dance Company, Diverse Space Dance Theatre and has been a guest performer in the Butler Community School’s performances of «Holiday Road» and «Broadway in May», and was cast to dance in «Imagine Christmas» at Gateway Church. In 2011 Meghan choreographed for and performed in the movie Rebellious Children of the Unconscious. Meghan’s students have won overall titles at dance competitions. She is the founder of TRU dance.
