The Nichols

When planning our wedding, photography was a high priority for us. I spent a lot of time researching online and looking at all of our options before making a decision. But as soon as I found The Nichols site and looked through their portfolio I knew I wanted to use them for our engagement and wedding photos.
From our engagement photos to the day-​of, Jennifer and CJ were wonderful to work with. They were prompt, professional and made us feel at ease. One of my favorite moments, and best decisions we made, was to do a «first look» before the ceremony. They made sure we were in a secluded place and they gave us space to enjoy this intimate memory — but were able to capture it perfectly too.
We love all of our wedding photos and would highly recommend The Nichols to anyone looking for high-​quality photographers with a genuine eye for capturing special moments and details. Thank you Jennifer and CJ for documenting the best day of our lives!

What can you say about The Nichols that would possibly do them justice? In a word: awesome. Photography was a very important element in our engagement/​wedding, so choosing a photographer whose style fit ours was essential. The Nichols had worked with friends of ours years previously, so they were the first on our research list – and ultimately the last. In my opinion, when you compare portfolios of other photogs to the work of The Nichols, nothing even comes close.
Not only is their work phenomenal, Jennifer and CJ were also a dream to work with. Jennifer is incredibly prompt, professional and detailed in her response to questions, and super *super* helpful in planning wedding-​day timelines for pictures, offering ideas for photo shoot settings, etc. I tried not to blow up her inbox too much, but she never made me feel like I was asking a stupid question or bothering her.
And I don’t know what I would have done without them there on my wedding day making sure we got all the right shots with the right people in them, telling me how to toss my bouquet, and just generally keeping things on track and looking fabulous for the pictures. They also set up a «photo booth» for our reception, which was really fun.
As for the pictures themselves, we were thrilled with both our engagement and wedding photos – seriously the best pictures I’ve ever been in in my entire life! I love them so much, and the process was always so fun. I can’t recommend The Nichols enough.

When my wife and I were planning our wedding, photography was pretty much at the top of our list. We scoured the internet and wedding mags for months. We even toyed with the idea of flying one of our favorites in to Austin… then…we saw The Nichols’ website. First off, Jennifer is amazingly professional. There was never a single moment in the process that I worried about how our pictures would come out, or if there would be any other hiccups. We were thrilled with the engagement shots, and Jennifer’s creativity with the whole shoot. She was really able to capture our personalities and went beyond our expectations. On the wedding day, Jennifer and CJ were just as incredible. They were right where they needed to be at all the right times. They were invisible when needed and «as if family» when necessary. I highly recommend them to capture the most important day of your life. We have highly recommended them to friends, but they basically sold themselves with their work. We constantly get comments about how amazing our wedding pictures came out. For that, we thank them indefinitely.

Jennifer and CJ are fantastic to work with! They shot our engagements, my bridal portraits, our entire wedding and even our Trash the Dress session a year later. It’s so easy to be relaxed and have fun around them which helps to get those amazing pictures! They’re great at capturing candid shots, are not in the way at all (we didn’t even notice them half the time during the wedding) and are able to able to truly capture all those memorable moments. We’ll continue to use The Nichols in the future whenever we need someone to capture those special moments.

After looking and looking for a wedding photographer, I stumbled across a business card for the Nichols at a local coffee shop in my neighborhood. I went to their website, and let me tell you, this duo takes FANTASTIC pictures. Their work is so beautiful and sweet without being cheesy or over-​the-​top. It’s just perfection.
Jennifer and her husband CJ make such a great team, not only are they extremely talented, but they are also sweet and friendly folks. Check out their blog, and you will be totally sold! We were more than pleased with the way our photos turned out and hope to have an excuse to work with them again in the future.

The Nichols are fantastically talented artists. We hired Jennifer and CJ in 2008 to take our engagement and wedding photos. Our pictures are stunning and we continue to get compliments on them (anytime I add a friend on facebook it’s followed shortly by a comment on how amazing one of our pictures is!). Our wedding photos were even featured in Rare Magazine!
Not only are they fabulous photographs, but they’re also wonderfully sweet people. Jennifer and CJ meshed so well with our wedding guests that the next day all our friends and family commented on how much they loved and enjoyed the photographers.
Hands down, one of the best wedding decisions we made. Not only did they take beautiful photographs but they also captured all the true and real moments and emotions of our day. When we look at our photos, we get to relive the wonderful experience all over again.
Many friends have since used The Nichols — and all have been thrilled with their experience and their photos. In fact, my parent will be doing portrait shots with them later this year, and they”ll be taking photos of our new baby girl in a few months as well!
