I don’t get lashes on the regular, maybe for a couple of seasons every year, but Blink Beauty is my go-​to salon in town, and Gloria’s my lady! I had a bad experience at another place in town a while back, and Gloria fixed me up and helped me ensure my natural lashes stay healthy, and she doesn’t go overboard, as I love a more natural look. Although if you’re going for more a more glamorous look for an event she can definitely do that too. The salon is gorgeous, Gloria pays attention to every detail, and takes excellent care of her clients. She is also an extremely pleasant and lovely lady to chat awhile with while you’re getting your lashes. Love this place!

I love Brook. She is the best beautification for lashes (only because I haven’t used her as anything else.) Very expertly done. She is also very professional and patient with my special needs. Every time I have a schedule change, we work well with accommodating each others’ schedules, which is hard to come by these days. I highly recommend this place for lash extensions.

Had my eyebrows waxed by Gloria, I give her a 10! I have sensitive skin so I’m weary about getting my eyebrows waxed, my skin had no problems and my eyebrows looked great!

Austin is getting more crowded by the minute; when I find a place I love I selfishly want to keep it a secret. However, these aestheticians are so awesome I have to give them their props. I’ve been going to Brooke for over a year now and she’s one of my favorite service providers in Austin. She gets it right every single time! She’s so good she books up pretty quickly, but with two locations going you can get scheduled without a problem.

I just wanted to add to my review since it has been a while. I am so happy I found these ladies. Brooke is one of the only ladies I will allow to touch my eyes. I have been seeing her for 5 years and I am constantly impressed with her skills. She is quicker (which means more lashes in a shorter amount of time), she is honest, she truly cares… I feel it is important for me to say these things because my eyes (in my opinion) are my character feature. My eyes are very very sensitive and Brooke has been fantastic and never once have I been concerned or worried about anything. I also recently moved to Florida for a job (moved back).but the entire time I lived there I flew back just so Brooke could do my lashes. I am in love with Blink and their commitment to professionalism. Love this place!!!

There is only one place I go in town for the best service & product with eyelash extensions, and eyebrow waxing. I get so many compliments from people, to include my esthetician who gets close to my face under a magnifying lens.
I owe the years of compliments to Brooke, one of the experts at Blink Beauty. I came to her, a complete mess of eyelashes & eyebrows. She fixed me right up, and continues to customize my lashes based on how I’ve done throughout the past weeks. I even had issues with puffy & red eyes, and she’s nurtured me right back to health so each trip afterwards has been awesome. She’s incredibly understanding and flexible with my tumultuous schedule, and I couldn’t ask for more when it comes to a true Austin hospitality experience every time.

My lashes look amazing. Gloria was pleasant for the first hour while we chatted and she worked away, and she didn’t even take offense when I completely dozed off during the second hour! She asked me the right questions and then listened patiently to determine the look I was going for, and chose the perfect length and curl of lash that will make my wedding look extra special this weekend without looking over-​the-​top.

I just discovered Blink after going somewhere else for lashes the past year and I’ve now seen Brooke and Gloria for lash fills. Both are amazing. Online booking made it easy for my busy schedule and the results are amazing and seems to last longer than other places. I highly recommend blink beauty.

It’s only fair to note I did not actually receive a spa service here. But my experience was notable enough to share:
My girlfriend stepped off the plane from California late Saturday afternoon and was in desperate need of a eyebrow wax. she was in town for a business convention starting Monday and it was her last errand to take care of before relaxing for the weekend (she also wasn’t confident salons would be open Sunday).
Anywho, my favorite esti Georgia at Fit & Finish was booked already so I turned to my olé pal Unilocal.Blink was the only salon on the east open past 5, so we headed straight over.
Blink sits in the shopping center along the tracks over on 5^th. The building is reasonably new and I was a fan upon walking in; everything is bright and clean and modern, as I feel a salon should be. (No one wants to get their hoo-​ha waxed in a dump!)
Even though it was about 5 minutes til close, and the owner was in the middle of an appointment, she made it a point to come out and acknowledge us. She said she would be happy to squeeze us in after she was done, yay!
I had the opportunity to use the bathroom and was pleased: it’s painted a cute lavender color with mirrored furniture and flowers; it has a shower and nice touches like real towels to wipe your hands and face with. Ahhh.
As it turns out the esti went to the same high school as my girlfriend so they were instant buds. The appointment took all of five minutes and we were on our way!
Awesome customer service and my gf brows looked fab too. I think they specialize in lashes, and if you check in on Unilocal you get 50% a spray tan.

Blink provided lash flair services for our Grand Opening party and I could not have been any more pleased. Their team of professionals were prompt, professional, communicative and thorough. They provided exactly what they promised. We will definitely recommend them to our clients and friends.

I love love love love loved my lashes! Gloria is a rockstar.

This place is the best place to get eyelash extensions in Austin.
1. They DO NOT COUNT lashes like many other places.
2. The prices are reasonable. I don’t know about you but who wants to pay 400 – 500 for a full set of lashes? If you are spending that much you are getting ripped off. They have specials on full sets for $ 99 which is a GREAT deal.
3. The quality is perfection. I see Brooke and she never fails to do a great job time after time. She makes you feel very comfortable.
4. Booking an appointment is easy and I can usually get in right away. I believe you can now book online, so that makes it even more convenient.

Before moving to NYC, I went to Gloria for years for her incredible waxing expertise (brows and brazilian). On a few recent visits to Austin (lucky me!) I’ve had the pleasure of getting a series of Rhonda Allison peels. The results are AMAZING. I have patches of discoloration that other methods and other peels really never sufficiently addressed and they are fading and staying gone!
I really miss being able to go to Gloria and have yet to find someone in the city who puts so much effort into the little details. Gloria is herself always trying the newest most innovative skin care products available and is excellent at recognizing and addressing my specific skin care needs. She is very missed!

This review is addressing Blink Beauty business practices, not beauty services. I was REALLY looking forward to moving my business to this salon after reading some of the reviews. I have had lash extensions for a while and like them very much but my lash expert has moved and I must replace her.
So, I had gone in to Blink Beauty’s website last Wednesday and sent an internet request for an appointment with Brittany. I never received a call back so Friday I left voicemail for the salon to follow up with my contact information again and request for an appointment.
This morning, Sunday, at 11:00 am I received a phone call from Gloria finally responding to my inquiry and request! I was surprised that she would attempt to return my call on a Sunday morning. Most of the time this time frame is off limits to business or sales due to folks being with family, church, and other weekend activities.
However, Gloria seemed pleasant and eager to make an appointment for me at first so I gave her my information once again. I told her that I had already provided contact information and what I wanted through her web intake form and she said that she never gets anything from that and that it isn’t working. (I wonder why she doesn’t just update her website or take down the form?) Anyway, after I had set up the appointment she asked me for a credit card to hold the slot. Of course I understand the irritation of no-​shows and their aggravating affect on a business’s bottom line. But as a small business owner myself, getting people in the door to provide them with my exemplary service far outweighs the minor inconvenience of a no-​show. I politely declined and then that is when Gloria said «Oh well, sorry. Our time is too valuable.»
Refusing my appointment because I wasn’t willing to hand over my credit card was really the thing that drove the nail into the commerce coffin for me. I had sent the internet inquiry and then went out of my way to follow up with a phone call. No service industry can afford to alienate new busines in this economy. Not to mention that it is simply rude as hell to not return calls within 24 hours — and then trying to return sales calls Sunday morning! What came across immediately is: «You will do business with me at MY convenience. Your business is not as important to me as your dollar is and i don’t care how inconvenient or impersonal this may seem but i am way too greedy to accomodate you.»
Perhaps Gloria has more business than she can handle and that is great. Perhaps younger customers are quite used to being treated rudely. Perhaps established customers are treated like royally??? But I will not do business with a company that makes it so difficult to get my foot in the door to simply try them out. She should have simply never returned my call at all. That way she would not have made the horrible business impression she made with me.

Love my lashes! Brittany, a self proclaimed perfectionist, did an excellent job. Be prepared to sit very still with your eyes closed for about 2hours on the initial visit. It is well worth the wait and the price. The outcome is awesome. Too bad i can’t afford to keep going!

I am a lash addict thanks to Blink Beauty. As a yoga teacher, I don’t like to wear make-​up. The extensions make my eyes pop and and jazz up my natural look. They make me feel more feminine and sexy. Gloria is a perfectionist. Doing lashes is an art and she definitely has it down. I’ve been going to her for over a year now and I’ve only had to wait one time for my appointment, which was only about 5 min.
If you are considering getting lash extensions Blink Beauty is the best.

All I have to say is: WHY didn’t I do this sooner? I now wear less makeup and wake up with a more «awake» face due to my new lash extensions.
I am def. addicted and will keep going to Brittany for this huge difference. Worth every penny!
Music was great and relaxing and the office is quaint and comfy.

I have been going to Blink Beauty for, I believe, almost 2 years now. I get Lash Extensions and Bikini/​Brazilian Waxing. Gloria is absolutely GREAT! She is so detailed and will make sure you look perfect before you leave. If there is ever a problem she is quick to fix it. She is also extremely friendly and easy to talk too.
The shop is conveniently located on the Eastside, 5^th Street. In addition to waxing and lashes there is also Spray Tanning available.

I’m hooked. I am an incorrigible tomboy but I like to look pretty, if I can do so with minimal effort. So… LASH EXTENSIONS, ladies. They are the bomb!
I’m telling you– it’s the best $ 65/​month you’ll spend on beautiful you. Skip highlights, haircuts, acrylic nails, tanning, all that jazz. Put the money into your peepers since people are always looking at those! [hahaha, men don’t know what’s different, they just know you look prettier and comment on it; at best they say they never noticed how long your lashes were– women look for a minute and then ask if you did something different to your eyes…]
I started in November when Gloria had a half-​off special, just to try it. She covers your lower lashes, you shut your eyes, and she attaches one lash at a time to each of your own lashes. It takes about 2 hours the first time and about an hour after that for fill-​ins. Although there’s a bright light which you can see through your eyelid, amazingly enough you WILL fall asleep. It’s very soothing, with peaceful music and a comfy bed, and just so relaxing you can’t help it. Then she wakes you up, and BAM! you look like a movie star crossed with Bambi.
Keep in mind, I’m a tomboy, so I didn’t get the longest lashes possible– but they’re darker and thicker than my natural lashes, so I always look freshly mascara’d, without ever having to put it on or have raccoon eyes after a workout.
I train Brazilian jiu jitsu 7 days a week, which means my eyelids frequently get rubbed as someone passes an arm over my face, tries to choke me, etc. I didn’t write this review till after I’d had the lashes in for a full 5 weeks (and then got them filled, though usually you go only 4 weeks– holidays interfered) because I wanted to see how they’d stand up under exceptional abuse. I’m happy to report that I still had enough lashes on after 5 weeks that I still didn’t feel the need to wear eye makeup and I still felt like a movie star fawn. (If you find my profile on facebook, that picture shows my eyes pretty close-​up at 2 weeks for an idea of what they look like.)
The only things you need to be careful about are not getting your eyes wet for 24 hrs after they’re done (just put a dry washcloth on your eyes while you shower) and you can’t wear normal mascara, only water-​based (but who needs mascara at all with these?)
The initial investment is hefty but I swear it’s worth it. Run, don’t walk, especially if you have a special date coming up!
