SuperShuttle of Austin

I was very pleased with SuperShuttle of Austin. Last week was the first time I used them. The driver was very punctual and courteous. They confirm, remind and let you know the arrival time according to the route. I will be using them for future trips to the airport.

Been using SuperShuttle for many years and multiple times throughout the year. Always great service. Never ever a hiccup or problem. Drivers are always helpful, friendly and drive safe. Vans are clean inside and out. Addressing the ride comfort, I don’t know what people expect from a work van — folks, it’s not a Lexus. I have a bad back (fractured it years ago) and I have no comfort problems. Vans are always comfortable.
Text messages with map of driver location is very helpful. When my plane lands, they know I’ve arrived and send me a text — regardless of whether my flight is early or delayed over an hourlike the other night when I arrived at 1 am. I can just check in by clicking a link (no app required) and I’m ready to go. Pickup from the house is always on time with sufficient time for flight departure. Be advised that when it’s time to be picked up from the airport and it’s really busy, you might have to wait for a while. Patience is a virtue applies here. But it’s all reasonable all things considered.
When you factor in the cost of time, gas, and convenience, it’s hard to beat. It’s also a lot nicer than asking your friend to give you a ride at some inconvenient time.

Used SuperShuttle for the first time this week. The driver was on time, courteous and friendly. Next time I fly I will call these guys again.

Our driver this morning was excellent! He was punctual, friendly, and carried our bags into and also out of the shuttle. Would highly recommend Super Shuttle for getting to and from the Austin airport. I love that they text to confirm, remind, and also to let you know when they have arrived.
Our van only had 4 people this morning total. It almost felt like a private shuttle.

This is my second time using the Austin SS, and definitely will use them again.

This was my second trip using Super Shuttle services in general, and my first time using it in Austin. I paid $ 20 per passenger when booking online and using a 10% off code, with pickup from the Domain area to the airport for a flight at 6 am. I appreciate the ease of doing this online and picking the window of time we want to be picked up based on our flight times, it’s a very comprehensive process. The text updates were great, but the map tracker to see where the shuttle was in real time was not as accurate as my previous trip, because I received a text from my driver and the map didn’t show the shuttle had arrived already. Although I believe we leave our phone number when reserving online, the driver won’t call and my hotel would not call my room for the driver when he was waiting. It is your best bet to be at the front entrance of your hotel or home at the start of the pickup window if you don’t indicate on the reservation special instructions to pick up at a specific entrance of the hotel. The driver David was personable and a very responsible driver, he even let a taxi on the road know that his trunk was open. Such a good Samaritan! Definitely going to continue to use Super Shuttle in my travels, because the timing has been great and I can get miles through certain airlines for it too.

Wonderful service! Robert, my shuttle driver, was on time and very personable which is so nice when you are heading to the airport at 3:30am. I will definitely be using Super Shuttle in the future!

Used them to get both to and from the Austin airport. I was satisfied. They showed up on time and got me where I needed to go. No frills, but everything I required. Recommend!

Not impressed. Standing outside address location 15 minutes in advance of pick up. More than a ½ hour later I was on the phone asking where my shuttle was, while I was talking, the driver was trying to call, since he didn’t reach me on the phone he didn’t pick me up. 15 minutes later I’m calling again and was told he was on his way to the airport w/​out me because he couldn’t reach me by phone. The whole time I was standing outside the address to be picked up? Had to go inside (I don’t use a smart phone) to book a taxi. Will never use the super shuttle again.

We loved our driver! We were the first to be picked up and our driver (I forgot her name… Gosh darn it!) was so helpful and friendly and appropriately chatty. I felt such a good connection with her. We had 2 more stops after ours and she really had a great way of keeping everyone that wanted to talk involved in the conversation. She got us to the airport way ahead of schedule and we would for sure use this service again!

I’m surprised at some of the low-​star reviews. My experiences with Austin SuperShuttle have been different: they’ve been completely reliable, and their scheduling website has gotten better over the years. Drivers have always been on-​time, courteous, and helpful. The pickup time for the ride to the airport is typically scheduled a conservative time ahead of the flight time, and that’s okay by me. And as for the ride home from the airport, even when my flight arrived at 11pm or later, there’s never been a significant wait.
I’m knocking off a star for petulant reasons: as others have mentioned, the multiperson vans really do have lousy suspension that will carry even the tiniest bump to your seat, and the vans themselves are not particularly comfortable.
But overall, based on cost, reliability, and convenience: I think they’re great, and they have removed one of the biggest pain points from all of my business travel.

Never again. I gave Super Shuttle another chance here in Austin with a pre-​booked/​pre-​paid reservation.
To the airport: SS calls me to ask if they can bump my already early pick-​up time up by 10 minutes. Feeling stuck, as we are a few hours before pick up time, I agree. Then about an hour later I get a text saying my driver will arrive 10 minutes before new, earlier time. Then the driver actually arrives 5 minutes before texted time. Getting to the airport nearly 3 hours early is not fun.
Pick-​up at airport: In full disclosure, my flight arrived at 1:50 am. Though, I think that would be easier to arrange a van at this time, as there is not a lot of business or traffic.
I do not understand why SS asks for your flight information, as it clearly does not matter to them. I followed their instructions, checking the box as I landed, and another as I got my luggage (2:10). I try to use the van locator and can’t find it on the map, since there’s no one here. I call Super Shuttle at 2:25 am to see about getting an ETA, turns out my driver is on Airport and MLK. I guess I sounded huffy because the CS rep said, «ma’am this is the situation we are in.» Not the friendly response one would have liked. Eventually, my driver arrived just after 2:40.
The only thing good about SS was my two drivers. Both were friendly and wonderful. But as a company, SS still seems to think it’s 1985. We have so many options now besides SS or a cab.
My reserved SS took over 30 minutes from check-​in, and because I followed SS’s rules, (waiting until I was in their pick-​up area), I was in the airport for almost an hour. Compare that to Über, who lets me call a car while I’m in baggage claim and never has a pick-​up time over 10 minutes, meaning I’m actually home within a half-​hour of landing. For me, Über is only a few dollars more and completely worth the convenience.

I arrived at the airport late due to a delayed flight. I booked a super shuttle, but after 15 minutes, I wasn’t called. Thinking I wasn’t going to miss a majority of a business meeting, I cancelled the super shuttle and called a cab. However, when I cancelled, the ticket agent said Id be refunded.
I was not refunded, so I called and they said Id be reached within 3 – 5 business days. I called to follow up, but not much of a response in getting a refund. It’s one thing to have terrible timeliness, but it’s another when ticket agents lie to you.
I did take a super shuttle back (assuming that Id be refunded and they weren’t shady) and would not ever do that again. The driver didn’t know where she was going and if my flight wasn’t delayed, I would have surely missed it. The driver said that she could get me there by 4:30. I was there at 5:30.
TIP: STAY AWAY. Use the über app. It’s cheaper and more reliable.

A while back, I booked a ride with Super Shuttle for a 7am flight. I was expecting them to pick me up sometime around 5am or earlier. At 5:30, I finally called them to ask where they were. They said they were picking me up at 7am. Ummmm… NO! That’s when my flight leaves. Not cool. I wouldn’t trust these guys ever.

I made reservations in advance for our family of five and was told upon arrival it would be a twenty minute wait. It has now been over an hour. My children are tired and hungry and when I questioned Gabrielle at the customer service counter her reply was she would give us our money back. When I asked here to call someone at dispatch she told me she would give me the number and I could call them myself ! It is now 11:45 pm and we still have no idea when our shuttle will be here! There are over twenty five people with reservations waiting for more than an hour now! Supershuttle in Austin will not be getting my families future business!

I always book a shared-​ride Supershuttle as my aiport transport. It’s one of the lowest priced options around, and for years it has been reliable and on time, and you’ll appreciate having someone drive you home when you are so jetlagged you can’t see straight. I use the shuttle for trips more than 5 or 6 days long as it’s more cost-​effective than parking. The only downsides are that it may take you a little longer to get to the airport if other passengers are traveling (average maybe 10 – 15 minutes?) and the van ride is REALLY really bumpy. You’re not traveling in comfort here, but it’ll be adequate for most. I’ve always felt safe using Supershuttle.
They advertise their counters are open ²⁴⁄₇ but if you arrive late at night, only the computer kiosk will be open… but don’t worry, the driver will still be there.

Off the red eye at 520am ~ no drivers. Nobody at the super shuttle desk. Finally, he shows up-​Guy at the airport desk had no idea when out «scheduled» driver would be there.
20 minutes later, we get in a van with no shocks. By the time we get downtown from the airport ~ my back is out.
Get a cab next time. At least they are ready to go. Do you get what you pay for? Sometimes…
