Sterling Acura of Austin

I moved here from Chicago, where I received impeccable service from my Acura dealer at Woodfield Acura there. My service team was incredible and took great care of me and my cars for years.
After moving here, I ended up having a rare occurrence… when I filled my gas tank I apparently received bad gasoline. All my car systems shut down and my car wasn’t drivable. I was towed to a different local Acura dealer. The service was horrible, they didn’t fix my car and sent me on my way telling me I was fine to drive from Austin to St. Louis on Christmas Eve. When my car broke down again within 3 miles of leaving that dealership, I had my car towed to Sterling.
From the moment I walked in the door, I was greeted with multiple smiling faces. Luis attentively and professionally walked me inside, asked me questions to help aid the process along and set me up with a driver to take me home. He stayed in communication with me throughout the days they had my car and offered me as much help as he could.
My car was completely fixed and has been running great ever since. With terrific customer service like this, I will be coming back for all of my car maintenance.

You can buy an Acura from a lot of different places, but it’s the customer care that sets Sterling Acura apart. They made my experience very easy and worked hard to make sure I got the car I wanted at a price I could afford. I walked away with a great deal on a 2015 Acura TLX, and I absolutely love the quality of the vehicle.
Once you’re a customer, they make sure you keep coming back. Some of their great benefits include free car washes, a well-​stocked lobby with snacks and drinks, and complimentary airport shuttle service. I highly recommend this place, and will definitely consider buying another vehicle from them.

took a really clean cl coup to trade on a pre owned it looks like they just put it on the lot with out even looking at it dirty interior a rat nest under the hood and they wanted top dollar offered a really low ball on the trade just lost my confidence on getting a really nice car maybe they should review there quality control as someone that has been in the biz for 40 years i wasnt impressed

Yesterday I leased a 2016 Acura ILX from Sterling Acura. It was one of the best car buying experiences of my life. I had a trade in too. A 2014 Mini cooper that i was upside down on. Montye Edwards our sales consultant (my husband was with me) wasn’t so much of a sales consultant as he was a friend. He was friendly, very knowledgable and super patient. He spent all day helping us. We not only got a great deal on our lease but we were treated like family. Everyone was kind, courteous and made us feel very welcome. The owner even came out and talked to us. That has never happened at any other dealership before. They worked with us to make sure they could give us the best deal possible. They restored my faith in car shopping and dealerships. They have a customer for life in me. Thank you everyone at Sterling Acura (Adrian, Ryan, James) and of course MONTYE. I LOVE my new car!!!

My wife and I bought a 2012 Acura MDX here today and it was a fantastic car buying experience. Andrew, was our salesman and he was fantastic, very helpful, nice, friendly. John in finance was also incredibly helpful and made the process enjoyable.
No one ever looks forward to the process of buying a car, just buying a car and Sterling made this process as painless as possible.
Honestly what was the difference for us was that even though we were buying a used car we were treated like we were buying a new one and everybody we met during the entire process was great and we look forward to being part of the Sterling Family.

Great customer service!

Went to get oil change. Its only 5 minutes away from my workplace. The service person James, told me that Sterling Acura doesnt give a ride if you only get an oil change. And he told me he can get my car done in 45 minutes for oil change and state inspection. So i waited for it, turn out it took more than 1 hour. I was late to go back to work because of this. I will cancel my maintenance package from my other car that I bought from this dealership as well. Lucky that i bought a Lexus from them, so i am planning to go to Lexus of Austin where they treat you like a customer

Love sterling Acura and love my Acura. I have had my Acura over 2 years now and any little thing that’s wrong Acura will help me with it. Plus free car washes whenever I want is nice. Just recently my dad and I came in to browse for him and the salesman was great. Very nice knew everything he was talking about about every car and personable. I will always buy from Acura!

Extremely thorough and courteous. Communication of expected wait time was helpful. They let me know the best price on service for my car and description of why certain maintenance issues are important. Luis and James took great care of me just like Brandon Gordon has in the past. I can’t wait to buy my next Acura, and when I do it will be from Sterling of Austin.

I bought a 2015 Acura TLX from Sterling Acura about 2 months ago. The buying experience was great thanks to Shaun — the most pleasant car salesman I’ve dealt with. (Ask for him!)
Beyond that, I’ve been using the free car washes pretty regularly, and it’s an *awesome* benefit. The service department is clean and the people are friendly. The lounge area is very nice, and provides a great place to work while you’re waiting on your car to be washed or serviced.
A smaller dealership like this is the way to go, highly recommended. :)

I bought an Acura ILX here and got a better experience than any other dealerships I’ve ever been to. The sales guy, J.C., was straightforward with me from start to finish. His managers were also very straight-​forward. They went over the process with me thoroughly and made sure I knew exactly what I was getting myself into. They highlighted the positives and negatives of the car I was buying, which I really appreciated. I think I got a really good deal and am very satisfied with my car thus far. They even helped me to get a better rate than my bank was willing to give me.
I would definitely recommend Sterling Acura of Austin to anyone around this area. Go online, find a car you like, go there and purchase. This is how the car-​buying experience is supposed to be. Competing dealerships should learn from them.

12 years ago I bought my first car from Sterling Acura, they had outstanding service then and continue to have outstanding service now! I’m super pleased with Sterling Acura. I just bought a used Acura MDX last week and I needed to locate the code for the radio. I stopped by Sterling Acura after experiencing some really poor customer service with the local competitor. The sad thing is that my car had always been serviced at the competitor’s service center shop and it had all of the service records there.
Anyway, I met a sweet little lady, Ms. Murphy, that reminded me what customer service and real southern hospitality consisted of. I was so impressed with her that I went ahead and had the diagnostic test run over the entire car to try and identify all of the issues. It wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. The guys were really good. I even scored a military discount.
Overall, my experience was pretty amazing and because the staff was so kind, attentive and polite, I want to recognize them and let them know that I appreciate the way they treated me.
On a side note, the sales staff will try and sell you a car. It’s because it’s their job and you are in a dealership.

I have thought about writing this review for a long time, but It is hard because if I say everything I want to say I could write a book about this dealership, and how much they care and take care of their clients.
I bought an 2008 Acura TL at Howdy Honda back in 2011. I started taking my car to Sterling Acura for service. As soon as I pulled up, I felt like I was at home. From that point on, they always knew my name, they were always friendly and extremely sweet when they took my car in to be serviced, because I am in sales, I live in my car, and damn! I am telling you, it was sometimes so dirty I didn’t want to bring it in, but they never judged, they would actually help me by vacuuming and washing it before I would drive off of the lot. They are always truthful about what I needed serviced and they don’t push you or sell you on things. They have always taken care of me and my TL, but my TL was high in mileage and getting a bit worn, so I always had things that needed to be fixed on it when I took it in, so I always had it in the back of my mind that this coming year I would get a new car.
This year, January 15^th, My sister passed away, she was my best friend, and since I was born she was always there. I know this is too much information, but I have been in the «twilight zone» ever since. I am not sure If you guys get that reference, but you just don’t feel like things are real when you loose someone you love so much. But to get back to Sterling… I had so many little mundane things to take care of after her funeral when I got back home to Austin and I did not’ want to do anything. I wanted to hide and just be left alone, but since I had to work, and realize life does go on for me and my family after my sister had passed, I had to drive for work and one important thing was to get my oil changed as well as get the information on what repairs were needed for the year so my car is safe for me and for other motorists I was driving around out there.
An Acura Associate Montye approached me and told me to spend my money on a new car not repairs. I had about 130k miles and I have been thinking about getting a new car soon because the miles were just getting higher and value lower, so I told him he was right. I agreed to having him help me get into a new vehicle.
After that day I started having second thoughts. I’m crazy I am not thinking strait, I I still had debt pertaining to my sisters funeral, so I emailed Montye. I told him I didn’t want him working on this too hard because really I could not do anything right now. I explained to him that I really think I was just talking out of my head and that I would eventually get one but I just didn’t want him working on something that may not happen. Plus I was spoiled with my navigation/​tech package on my current TL, and I could not get anything less than that at this point because It helped me so much with my profession.
That day Mr. Rich Davis the owner called me and asked me a couple of questions, (he is a wonderful gentleman, I hope you get to meet him) He said come in today and lets try to do something.
Ill be damned if I didn’t leave there with a 2012 Acura TSX with navigation/​tech package, I did not have to give them any additional cash, I got a great monthly payment and 4 year warranty for a little bit more monthly which fit my budget perfectly. The owner personally took care of me and cared enough to make sure that I got what I wanted in a car and made sure that his Acura family took care of me. I had always felt like a part of the family and now I know I am part of the family, I will buy every car from them from this point on.
Mr. Davis and Montye made sure I got what I needed at the price I needed. They did not take advantage of me, they treated me like a princess. Literally. There is so much more I would like to share, but last thing I want to say is go to Sterling Acura, check them out. It is a beautiful dealership, beautiful cars at a price you can pay! They always have cookies and fruit, water, coffee cokes, workspace and WIFI if you have to work while waiting on your car. This place is the place to go for a vehicle, I am telling you!
Montye is the BEST, ask for him, he will help you with what you need and he doesn’t just try to make the sell, he truly does care about what you need, and most of all he listens.

This dealership is willing to make it right.
My initial review of this dealership was anything but positive. My fiancé and I had been contacted by our sales person Ruben to test drive the new TLX. As previous owners of a 09 tsx and a 12 tl we were extremely excited to see about a trade in. I’ll have to be honest Aldo and Ruben were courteous and willing to help. The previous review mentioned our disagreement and disappointment with their young sales manager. We felt our trade was not fair and had some issues with the managers sales etiquette. We walked away that night upset.
But, after voicing our opinions, we were contacted a day later by Ruben. He communicated with us and assured us that the experience prior was not the true reflection of what their owner Mr. Davis and his sales staff were willing to offer. Ruben worked to get us a better deal on our trade, because of this we returned to Sterling Acura to give it another shot. We were greeted politely and both sales associates really listened to our concerns. We felt heard and appreciated by the many accommodations the sales and finance staff were willing to offer to make it right.
If you’ve ever walked away from this dealership feeling like just a number, I encourage you to reach out to Mr. Davis or another sales associate. From our experience the actions of one individual does not reflect the overall standards of Sterling Acura. We are glad that they took the time to invite us back and all the willingness to make it right.

We purchased our RDX from Sterling in Aug 2014 because of our desire to drive an affordable higher end SUV and for no other reason. As we all know, car buying sucks no matter where you go.
This review is for the car washes provided for free. Don’t buy from Sterling because you think the lifetime of free car washes is a great deal though. They do a horrendous job. It’s sad that this is part of the package they use to sell but it’s a waste of time for the customer and the dealership.

Visited Sterling Acura for an MDX after doing through research on the car with other dealership in town. I had a good price figure to work with and let the salesperson know that as long they are being competitive, I was ready to pull the trigger. After making me wait for an hour, they come back with a price with the store GM which wasn’t even close to what I was offered at other dealer in town (direct in-​person quote.) I was getting interrogated to provide proof and then I got a lecture on how I was getting a good
price. For anyone that doesn’t know,
works with dealers to sell customer leads with pricing data from ZAG. They work with dealers to set up price so buyer should beware. On top of that, they did not have any on the lot so they needed to charge me $ 500 extra. C’mon, how can you not have Silver, Graphite, nor Black AWD Tech trim at hand?
Yes, the dealership is nice and clean with good sales staff. However, you’ll likely pay 1−2k more than other dealers so shop around unless you like paying needlessly more for your cars. Any you might have to wait longer and pay more to get the car you want.

My husband and I actually tried to buy a MDX from another Acura dealership that was closer to our home, but the sales staff was bad. After a bad expedience we drove another 30 minutes further to Sterling Acura where we found exceptional service!
Go see Sean at Sterling, he will hook you up. He probably spent over 5 hours with us as we looked at cars, tested them, crunched the numbers, drank our fair share of their delicious expresso drinks and even bought us dinner.
After a very long day, and way past his work day, he still wanted to stay with us and show us all the functions of our brand new MDX. He follows up with us occasionally to make sure we are still good too.
Sterling has the best staff and best selection, period.
