Carol Brown is amazing! I have curly hair, and she does the best job with it! She is very kind, and fun to talk to. Make your appointment early, because she books up fast! Carol is the best!

Suzanne runs this fabulous salon with professionalism and talent. Easy, streamlined, online booking convenience, a fun waiting area (although there’s never much of a wait, if any) with magazines, locally-​made jewelry, and other treats make this salon a treat to visit!

Ginny did my wedding makeup – she was excellent. She was incredibly warm and helpful. I felt beautiful, and her demeanor made me feel calm even though it was three hours before my wedding. My makeup felt natural – not caked on.
Moreover, she went out of her way to find a lipstick for me to use on my wedding day for touch-​ups. She was thoughtful, and great at her job!
I highly recommend her.

Jinny is the absolute best, she has been doing my hair for a few years. She is always willing to listen to me and do the best she can with what she has to work with. I have short hair which isn’t always easy to cut, she is great. Love my color, we often time play around, sometimes darker other times lighter.

Friendly staff. Great environment (artwork on walls was beautiful). Great price ($ 15 for a dude haircut and shampoo). Great work on my hair. Great stylist (Carol Brown). I will def. be going there again and recommending Carol to my friends. :) I’m so happy with my hair!!!

Carol did an amazing job on my haircut. At first I wasn’t sure how it turned out until I styled it myself the next day and it’s perfect. It’s exactly what I wanted. The best part is that she knew how to cut it even though I wasn’t even sure what I wanted/​how to make it look good. Excellent judgment and styling by Carol!
The salon can get quite busy on the weekend though it seems because the receptionist kept interrupting because she needed help, which worried me a little bit that my cut was going to be disjointed or something, but I am happy with the result for sure and glad Carol was able to keep focused and track of her work.
The prices are extremely reasonable for Austin. ($ 50-​$ 60 for a cut).
The only down side about this place is the sinks where they wash your hair are SO uncomfortable. The worse sinks I have ever sat at. They need to replace them because they are just the worst and it could possibly start the haircut off on the wrong note.

Sarah Kempton does my cuts & colors. She is AWESOME!!! She has been doing my hair for over 5 years. My color is always consistent & perfect!

I and my two daughters have been going to Sarah for awhile now. We all have different hair textures, but Sarah handles our different hair needs expertly.
She just relocated to Salon Hush, so I followed her over there when I needed my next cut. I’ve always played it pretty safe, not allowing Sarah to cut a lot of my hair off or do any color. I was feeling a little daring, so on my recent visit I had Sarah take off about 3 inches in length and do a partial highlight.
Well, I got immediate compliments as soon as I left the salon and got to my next destination, and have been getting compliments every day for the last week! I am SO happy with Sarah’s attention to detail and how she listens to me and what I am looking for in my hair style.
I highly recommend Sarah. I and my daughters will continue to go to her for all our hair style needs.

Loved Carol, Love my cut, Love the highlights, loved the ambiance of the salon. Carol took the time to listen and put her expertise into giving me a great style. I am older but I like to look good –whatever that is to an individual-​as most people do. I feel great with this look and will definately be back.

Let me just preface by saying that my hair is super thin and insanely straight. It’s a pain to cut, and in my life, I’ve managed to find 2 humans that could give me an amazing cut. First was Lisa, from a small hole in the wall salon I frequented years ago. Better still is Shalena, who I have been following like an earnest disciple for a few years now.
Some say the world is a mirror, which makes me feel great if true. Shalena is a wonderful person, and truly talented as a stylist. I cannot drive that home more emphatically; if your hair is troublesome or you just want a professional, inspiring person responsible for your locks, look no further.
As far as the salon, they gave me some tasty, crisp white wine to ease the late-​Summer woes I was feeling today, and the space itself is large and inviting. Their concierge was helpful and nice, and I probably just got the best haircut of my life. You deserve to look great too!

I just wanted to let people know that a few weeks ago I bought a deal that salon hush had posted online with amazon local. The deal seemed great so I bought it. It included face-​framing hi-​lights a cut and a style for $ 60.00. I had never been to Salon Hush but for hi-​lights and a cut I thought «what a great deal.» So I bought it online. I called Salon Hush 2 times and got voice mail BEFORE I bought the deal to do some checking on it because I had some questions. I left my name and number but nobody got back to me. I again reached out and finally got a response. At that point I was already committed to the deal. The receptionist was a very nice guy. I got a call the day before my appointment to verify that I was aware of my appointment and would in fact be coming. The day of, I received a call asking if I would like to come in at 1:30 as my stylist had a cancellation. I agreed. I got there at 1:20 and stood at the desk for 10 minutes before even being acknowledged. People were busy and I understood but it was not very professional. My hair stylist was great. She had a great personality and did a really great job on my hair. I was disappointed to know that face-​framing hi-​lights only include like 6 foils or something. REALLY? so she told me on my hair she could blend my hair by putting a few more in. I agreed. NEVER DID SHE MENTION THAT IT WOULD BE AN EXTRA CHARGE. Don’t get me wrong, she did a great job. But when I went to leave I was charged an additional $ 25.00 for something that was NEVER agreed upon as a charge or an addition. If you are going to charge someone for something that should be discussed BEFOREHAND. To be honest I felt cheated. I ended up paying $ 85.00 and could have gone to my normal stylist and gotten my whole head hi-​lighted. I will not be recommending Salon Hush, or going again even with the 15% discount they offered me on my next visit. Thanks. But no thanks. The only reason I give it 2 stars is because she did a good job and was very personable.

I have been going to Carol Brown for a few months now, and I won’t go anywhere else! LOVE this place! Wine when you arrive, fun people to be around, and awesome hair at the end! Carol even helped me figure out what do to with some extra extensions… dip-​dyed them blue!

I love this place! It’s such a cute salon with very friendly staff. This place is not super cheap but definitely reasonable for the quality of the services. I go to Jill who always does a great job and I always leave with the look I want!

I am giving this place ALL because of Lisa Herzog! She has been my hair stylist since 2006 and never going to change unless I move! She is dedicated to her craft and treats your hair like gold! She is detailed oriented and super sweet! I love chatting with her about pets, traveling and life in Austin! I always tell Nathan, when we get married, I am having her do my hair!

Carol is truly amazing. She made me feel like I was the only client she had that day. I LOVED the final product and would absolutely go back again and again. I look forward to the next time I visit Salon Hush. :) Seriously… Carol Brown is AMAZING. As a professional performer on stage, she took careful precaution to make sure that I was a satisfied customer. CAROL IS THE BEST!!!

Two words, Jessica Mercado! She’s absolutely amazing. I have followed her from her previous salon and I trust her completely. She is not only an amazing stylist, giving me a phenomenal highlight and cut each time, but she is prompt and personable. I love chatting with her almost as much as I love my hair when I leave her chair :)
The atmosphere at Hush is also top notch, but I will continue to follow Jessica if she ever leaves…

I have a head shaped like a bucket. Swear to god. There might as well be bolts coming out of my neck. Jamie is the only one that can make look so good, the towns people will finally leave me alone.
All kidding aside, I usually go from one hair cut place to another. I have been going to Jamie now for five years. I won’t go to anyone else. A true professional. She is my secret weapon before I walk into a big meeting.
