I’ve never been the biggest fan of the food truck, so I was more than pleasantly surprised when I left the restaurant. Glad I didn’t prematurely scratch the brick and mortar from my list. The atmosphere. Very trendy and cool. Place was full on a Thursday evening(not very large), so we opted for two seats at the bar. I’d recommend reservations if you know ahead of time you’ll be going. Social hour. We unknowingly caught the tail end of social hour(their version of happy hour). While I wasn’t drinking, the specials looked great, and I look forward to when I can grab a cocktail. The $ 5 bites are HIGHLY recommended. Could have easily made a full meal eating those. Appetizers. Charred brussels were excellent and crispy. Kimchi arancini balls came with the best dipping sauces, and I could have easily NOT shared. Will be trying Mom’s toast next. Dinner. After two apps, we split the Malaysian Laksa Bowl(poached shrimp, tonkotsu noodles, curry seafood, broth, bean sprouts, 45 minute egg). The dish was very different and unique, in a good way. Have not eaten anything like it before. Was warm, hearty, creamy and a little spicy. No way I could have eaten it all on my own, so glad we split. Noodles were a little gummy, but didn’t kill the dish. Overall. Social atmosphere. Very unique, different, tasty food. Good social hour. Better than the food truck.

Went here for dinner with a friend from out of town who flew in that same day, and because her flight was delayed numerous times I had to change my reservation at the restaurant many times. They were very kind about this, which I was thankful for. The space is small and we were sat close to another table, but otherwise the food and experience were terrific. We ordered quite a selection of food and loved everything, particularly the Brussels sprouts and the fries. We had lots left for leftovers, which were just as good the next day. Can’t wait to go back!

First night in Austin(road trip — Texas Triangle) and what a perfect start. Aaron(young guy with funky retro blonde hair) went above and beyond — great service and nice tips on how to mix the bowls(after living in Asia for 5 years — he was spot on). The food was delicious. Well balanced, perfectly seasoned & spiced and good portion sizes. Even left our tired kids asking for more. If we lived nearby we would be back often.

OMG! Bacon jam! We came on taco tuesday and it was yum. Great fusion flavors. Taco trio. Banh mi tacos and bacon jam fries and fried rice and a hungry 16 yo son

This is one of our favorite brunch spots in the city. Naturally, when my girlfriend graduated we got a reservation and brought the whole family. In a weekend featuring meals at Franklin and Jeffrey’s, Peached Tortilla was a solid contender for best meal. We’ve almost always had great service at Peached Tortilla but they were truly stellar for our last trip. We ordered 2 orders of pork buns and they only brought one out. The waitress explained that they steam the buns fresh so they can only make so many at once and that our other order would be out shortly. When it came out she brought us an extra to apologize for the wait. At the end of the meal, they brought out a congratulations card signed by the entire kitchen staff and a couple free desserts for the table. I really couldn’t have a higher opinion of the place and we haven’t even talked about the food, yet! At this point, we have now eaten every single dish on the brunch menu. You really cannot order anything bad. I would advise skipping the JapaJam burger and tacos, even though they are incredible, and instead order something more adventurous. On this visit I got the spam fried rice and everyone was convinced I was crazy until they tried a bite. This dish, in addition to spam(which, if you haven’t tried it, is actually quite good, so don’t hate on something you’ve never eaten), features mushrooms heavily. Everyone was fighting to get a bite because we’re all big mushroom fans and this dish really delivers on that super intense umami. The hanger steak and eggs is obviously good(hard to mess up hanger steak combined with egg yolk) and the brisket hash is great, too. Obviously you want to get the brussels sprouts(with bacon jam!) and pork buns to start your meal and if you somehow have room for desert they do an amazing job. We had a white chocolate green tea mouse that was somehow rich and light at the same time and left everyone wanting more. If you haven’t eaten here yet it needs to be the next place you go. It’s truly one of the best restaurants in the city and it’s clearly run by people who are very passionate about what they do.

I cannot tell you how much my wife and I loved this place. We haven’t been there in a few months, and I don’t know why! The dishes are creative and refreshing spins on already awesome cuisine. I’d recommend without hesitation both the truck and brick & mortar to anyone I meet. 5 Stars all the way.

Went during happy hour on Sunday, around 6pm. Didn’t know it was happy hour and was lucky enough to get a seat at the bar area. I very much liked the interior of the restaurants, cute white benches and tall tables. Food: I ordered the margarita, which was really spicy so this might not be the drink for people who want a something smoother. We also got the kimchi balls, crispy fries, and pork belly lush bowl(since everyone recommended this). The kimchi balls were crispy yet soft, very similar to the ones at chilantros. The two dipping sauces were the best, especially the one with a hint of wasabi. Pork belly bowl did live up to the hype in my opinion. The pork belly was very tender and tasty. Service: The waiter explained to us what each dish consisted of when he brought us our food. He was very friendly and knowledgable. Overall great food and great prices during happy hour. I would be happy to come back and try other foods on the menu.

Last night we went to the Peaches Tortilla for their Social Hour and it definitely lived up to it’s reputation around town. The drinks were AMAZING and very reasonably priced. I had the Bump and Run, my mom had the Kentucky Mule and her friend had the Dark and Stormy. I recommend all of them. We ordered the charred brussel sprouts from the Social Hour menu and they were the most amazing bruseels I’ve ever eaten. We also ordered the JapaJam burger with bacon jam fries, which was not on the social hour menu, but was absolutely worth the full price. Lastly, we ordered an off the menu fried chicken, and it was so crispy and to die for. The Social Hour is available in the tiny bar area, so I recommend getting there early. A very large and very loud party was standing next to our table, but the servers, bartender, hostess and manager were all very apologetic about the noise level and did a fantastic job making each party feel welcomed.

Came here for Mother’s day and we had a great time. Service is very good and food was original and fairly abundant. The cheesecake was the best. Will come back for a regular brunch day when prices are a little more reasonable.

This was really fun. The laksa was not great, such a combination of flavors that eventually tasted like cornstarch. The brussel sprouts were tasty. The pork belly bowl had a lot of rice. The tables outside were sticky. The food came out unpromptly, but the manager was real nice to my mom. A couple of the servers had their noses stuck up in the air. Oxygen must be fresher up there.

The okonomiyaki is great! Both tacos were good too, just preferred the Chinese BBQ one over the Kahlua Pork. Also cocktails were $ 5 each and delicious! Also tried the Matcha White Chocolate Mousse, which I liked but am not too crazy about. It’s probably the coconut tapioca, but I knew it was in there and still tried it. So that one’s on me! Staff is very friendly and ready to help. Their explanation is quite thorough too! All in all, very nice place to go for dinner, definitely good for dates or even group dinners, or just for a quick dinner with friends. The atmosphere of the place is great and the interior looks beautiful too.

I came here for Sunday brunch around 1:30 when the crowd was just beginning to wind down a bit. The service was very friendly and quick. I love the interior — bright and comfortable, with a slightly upscale classy feel. It is a bit cramped, despite having a generous amount of seating, but still manageable. We ordered the brussels sprouts as a starter, which I found to be a bit oily for my taste but super savory and delicious. I’m not a fan of bacon, but these brussels sprouts were amazing and I highly recommend them. What I like about Peached tortilla is that it’s a different look on your typical Asian fusion joint! It combines Asian dishes with southern food, and the brunch menu adds an American aspect. For example, the Loco my Moco is a burger atop rice & gravy. They also serve three kinds of tacos for brunch, one being a banh mi taco. I ordered the brisket hash which was soft brisket, corn, and a 45-minute egg, which was the perfect amount of runniness. It was a bit spicy too, which I appreciate. The portion was smaller than I expected for the price but easily filled me up. I think Peached Tortilla is a great place for a Sunday brunch, and I heard they have an amazing cocktail selection, and judging by the beautiful bar area this is probably true! I’ll have to come back for dinner sometime.

Reviewing: Dinner What I Ordered: Lush Pork Belly Bowl, Southern Fun, Crispy Fries(recommend all!) I’m all about Asian fusion done right, and this place hits the SPOT. Arriving at this restaurant, my expectations started soaring just because there was so many people! Luckily we managed to snag a spot at the bar(where you can also order food off the dinner menu as well). Everyone was so friendly and willing to explain the menu and the service was pretty quick! FOOD: Everything we had here was super good. The LUSHPORKBELLYBOWL contains a five spice pork belly, house kimchi, pickled daikon carrots, and a 45 minute egg. The pork belly was friggin amazing — just melted in my mouth and was so tender. The combination of all the ingredients made such a tasteful experience. It was probably my favorite dish of the night. The SOUTHERNFUN is a dish of wide rice noodles with braised brisket, kale, and bean sprouts. The flavoring was also very tasty although I did have a little bit of a hard time trying to find the brisket in every bite. Lastly, the CRISPYFRIES was made with a 45 minute egg and house dipping sauces — really some of the best fries I’ve had as well. The egg didn’t make the dish for me though — the seasoning of the fries was superb though! LOCATION/PARKING: The restaurant is small and very popular so expect a wait — it will be worth it. Parking is also very few at the front of the restaurant but you can park across the street — a bigger parking lot. NEXTTIME: Wanna try the happy hour, brunch, bacon jam fries, and their tacos!

I’ve been meaning to try Peached Tortilla for a few months so a couple of friends and I decided to check out the Sunday brunch menu. The food was delicious and completely lived up to my expectations! I ordered the Korean steak and eggs bowl which was delicious and filing. It came with not one but two fried eggs, which mixed with the rice is perfect. One of my friends ordered the caramel French toast and another ordered the JapaJam burger. The burger came with fries and this orange sauce which I didn’t get the name of but added the perfect kick to the fries. They say the meals are to be shared family-style, but all three of us agreed the servings were perfect for one. Perhaps that was just our post-hike selves talking though! The ambiance in the restaurant is lovely as well. It’s small, but very bright and not too noisy. The orange patterned wall is great. I definitely see myself being back in the near future!

WARNING: This Review is rated PG-13 for sultry language Our first time together was the perfect tryst! Your delicious Sunday happy hour offerings at the bar, where Dave made us feel at home, were just the beginning of what I hope will be a long and loving relationship. You initially drew me in with your bacon jam brussel sprouts, but had my full attention with your coquettish kimchi aracini balls. However, I knew I was completely smitten when you fully seduced me in the form of your chicken karaage. Each time I dipped a piece in the gochujang dipping sauce, I felt unfaithful to everything I’ve ever eaten before! I left wanting more, but also wanted to experience a different side of you. When you showed me your brunch, I was not disappointed! You even let me share you with some friends, who immediately understood why our love could never be fleeting! There are so many things I adore about you… your BBQ Pork Buns were just the right way to start off our Sunday Funday together and the JapaJam Burger satisfied me in ways I didn’t even know I could be, but I think what I adore most about you, what I could never do without now, is your French Toast. Your miso caramel and coconut whipped cream may have ruined me for other brunches. Peached Tortilla, you are beautiful, inside and out… and I think I am in love with you! «Ever thine, ever mine, ever ours”-Leila R via Beethoven’s romantic spirit

Holy my damn. A friend suggested we stop by here for brunch on Sunday and mentioned some over the top french toast. Coconut whipped cream you say? I’m on board. It’s a small location with little parking, so we parked in the neighborhood around the corner(read the signs!) and were seated quickly. Let’s talk about brussel sprouts and pork buns: damn delicious. Let’s talk about a steak and egg bowl: oh so tasty. Let’s talk about a thai chili and wasabi bloody mary or a man-mosa(giant mimosa): ZOMG. And yes, please, let’s talk about some french toast: absolutely perfectly cooked french toast with berries, caramel, and coconut whipped cream. I could have eaten a bowl of just the whipped cream. GETINMYMOUF! Seriously can’t say enough good things. Also check out catering.

I finally had a chance to check out the happy hour here, and the shit was so good that we decided to stay through dinner. Let’s start with the service: Superb! The wait staff have a deep understanding of both the drink and food menus and go out of their way to help. My friend got a little too drunk and dropped food on her new dress. Another waiter went out of his way to get us some napkins and soda water to blot out the stains. That’s how nice they were! The bartending staff, especially David, sure know how to make a good drink! Everything her served up was great. Table favorites: their punch, the Dark and Stormy, the Violet Dream, and the Bump and Run. David knows what’s up! Regarding the food: For all things dear and holy, please get their Summer Fun. The brisket and noodles in that dish cause fireworks to go off in your mouth! We also tried they’re tacos, fries, cauliflower, and the chicken bits(too drunk to remember what it’s called). Slap your mama good! For dessert, we had the nutella and banana spring rolls and the Asian Movie Theatre. Three of us preferred the spring rolls, but my honey and I loved the movie theatre dish. You’ll be happy with either one. What can I say? I think I found my new favorite spot!

Wow. Absolutely lovely experience here. The interior is quirky and fresh. The food exceeded expectations, which is saying something because I constantly heard of this restaurant/food truck while in Austin. Everything was spot-on and unique in texture. The fries were perfectly hot and crispy, and I couldn’t get enough of whatever sweet sauce it came with. Pork belly was heavenly, to die for. Probably the best cooked pork belly I’ve had in Austin, with the outer layer of fat slightly charred and the inside very very tender. The stuff of dreams. Tacos were interesting and fun to try. My favorite was the banh mi, and this is where the texture really stood out to me. The soft corn tortilla with the crunchy cabbage and oh so good tender pork belly… Almost wish I could eat it every day. BBQ taco was my second favorite, as I liked the sweet sauce, and the fried fish taco was good but not great. Eager to come back and try more things here! I’ve no doubt the rest of the menu is just as satisfying :)

Expectations were high for this restaurant. I had heard about the innovative cooking styles, the delicious tacos, the allure that caused two foodie friends of mine to spend over $ 60 for dinner, and the long, long waits. A few friends and I got a reservation for Sunday brunch, ordered a banh mi taco for each person, and split a few entries family style. The tacos lived up to their promise — the braised pork belly was simply satisfying and the sriracha mayo and other condiments complemented it perfectly. Unfortunately, I didn’t quite feel the same way about the other entrees. The Loco My Moco was drowned in a mediocre-tasting gravy and the crab pad thai tasted just like any other pad thai. To me, they just seemed like overpriced, nondescript entrees that had a special sauce or ingredient to spice it up. Granted, I came for Sunday brunch, and my friends who came with me agreed that the brunch items aren’t as satisfying as the dinner plates. I’m not closed to the notion of trying out The Peached Tortilla again, but it’ll take a good deal of convincing.

Heard a lot about Peached Tortilla, but had never made it to the food truck. The Best bet is to go straight to the fine establishment to get the full experience! What a creative and fun restaurant. The ambiance, food & staff were all great. We snagged a seat by the bar during happy hour. The drinks & food available on the HH menu are about $ 3 – 5. Pretty good price. Mom’s Toast — yes, that was very delicious! Thin slice of toast topped with shrimp & ground pork then deep fried. yummm. The fresh napa and rather sweet gochujang chili sauce topped it off. This sweet & savory toast dish set the standard for other toast dishes out there! Charred Brussels Sprouts — I tend to always order brussels sprouts when I see them on a menu. Again, sweet & savory, the jam adds that extra flavour. Malaysian Laksa Bowl — flavours were solid. The broth was good, had a spicy kick to it. Plump shrimp, bean sprouts and green onions to dress up the noodles. While everything in this bowl was good. the noodles however were a little soggier than I would have preferred. It didn’t have the al-dente slightly chewy taste. But overall the flavours were there. The Crispy Fries with 45 minute onsen egg — fries are always a good idea to complement my meal! Especially with a few drinks! I’m already looking forward to my next visit here. Can’t wait to try the other goodies! The banchan pickles will definitely be on my list!
