First I would like to say that the Doctors and nurses here are excellent and I am very sad that my daughter wont be able to see Dr. Rane anymore.
this review is based on their front desk ONLY.
I scheduled my daughters 15 month well check about 2 months in advance. I missed the appointment by about 2 hours but I called right away to apologize and reschedule. My daughters nose has been running and some other small things, so I wanted to get her in as soon as possible. I was told that I will be receiving a discharge notice in the mail and that I could not come there. If I had a problem then I would need to speak with the office manager. I asked why I was receiving this and am told because of a no call no show. I thought, after one time?, she advised me that the office manager would call me the next day. I decided to follow up myself, and glad I did because the office manager wasn’t even in that day, I spoke with the other front desk woman, The nicer of the two. She advised me that I had no called/​no showed 3 times. I was shocked because I could not recall. She then saw that they had scheduled me TWO 15 month appointments, only one of which I was aware of. So she realized right away that they had made the mistake. I proceeded to ask her about my appointment and the office manager and she advised me that the office manager wasn’t working today and that I still could not get an appointment. Mind you my daughter is not feeling her best, so Ill have to find somewhere else on the spot. I asked her, «so because your office made a mistake and scheduled two appointments then my daughter gets penalized? Because I am not sick.» She said «yes». She said that their policy stated if you no called no showed three times you are discharged. I said, Ok. I get that but I didn’t violate your policy, you messed up on your side. So after going back and forth with her trying to make sense of why I am still getting penalized she still didn’t schedule me an appt and I had to call another office with a new doctor and wait longer than I wanted. This has to be the most ridiculous experience I have ever had. I have still not received a call back. THIS IS BEEN A WEEK ALREADY. I understand having a no call no show policy. and had I no called no showed 3 times i would have gracefully accepted the consequences. But I didn’t and instead I am unfairly dismissed from a DOCTORS OFFICE. Or should i say my 15 month old daughter.
On a side note, I do not know their names unfortunately but i do know their voices and who I was speaking with.
The (i believe she is Hispanic) heavy set girl has to be the most unpleasant person to talk to. Anytime I was in the office she was on her phone and didn’t smile or greet anyone. I felt as if I was inconveniencing her by asking a question. I would suggest that your office train her in basic customer service skills or replace her.(10 + years in Customer Service)
The other girl (fair skin I believe) is extremely polite and had a smile everytime I would go in. You need to replace the other one, she didn’t even tell me correct information nor did she show any empathy in her tone.
At the end of the day this all could have been avoided had they taken immediate responsibility for their mistake and scheduled my daughters appointment.
Still can’t believe the office manager has yet to contact me. If they don’t have my current number that is only because their front desk associates are not paying attention. I’ve given it to them several times.

I’ve been taking my baby boy here for the past 6 months. Really great doctors that will actually take the time to explain stuff. Parking can be annoying but otherwise couldn’t really ask for more.

Dr Rane is very friendly and always does thorough investigation. My son feels at home while talking with her.

I’m surprised by all the bad reviews. We’ve been there 3 times only, we’ve been helped on time. Dr. Rane did seem to kind of rush things, but she was very thorough with my son. So far so good.

they yelled, called my husband and i liars, told me not to speak while there and did not help my child with his rash at all. They took my co pay to only have to find a real Dr.

This place have gone from great to worse. I have been going there for 28 years I have seen so much turn around. The staff changes everytime I goes there. I sae a post about being 7 minutes late. The doctor takes 30– 45 minutes while I am sitting waiting for them. The front desk people are not friendly. When you work in an environment where kids are going to be they shoube friendly cater to the kids put a smile on there face when they are greeting the parents. Look up from the desk smile say good morning afternoon etc talk about what brings them in etc. The only reason I haven’t changed from them is because they want $ 25.00 for the medical records for the new doctor office. This place is all about money and not giving great service. I can’t wait for my child to get 18 so we can be out of there. The nurses are not friendly the office manager there now is so rude. I had called for a copy of my daughter’s shots record the girl at the front desk was so lazy to go look for it she put me on j old and said it was no longer there so I called back and spoke with someone else and she found it. My heart goes out to us the customers for that entire office needs a DIVERSITY CLASS in customer service.

We are very disappointed with Northwest Pediatrics.
The doctors are good, we are disappointed with
the management of the office. Our story is short
and sad. We have scheduled a visit on July 10 2014,
at 8:30am, but when we came they told us we cannot
see the doctor because our bill was not paid.
Well, we even did not receive invoice for the services
prior to that, and they told us we cannot see the doctor
because our bill was not paid. The bill amount did
not exceed $ 800 which is not big deal for us,
but the whole experience was not great because
we already scheduled an appointment 3 days prior
to that and also confirmed that 1 day prior to that.
So, out conclusion is that the office is ran by bunch
of incompetent people, and their first priority is
to collect money from you at all cost.
So, we don’t recommend that place to anyone
with kids. Just find a place where they not
so money oriented.

We arrived to our appt 7 minutes late and was told we would have to reschedule. That’s right, 7 minutes. Most offices do 15 min grace periods. Not this one. Being a pediatric Dr office, one would know how easy it is to run late with kids and be somewhat flexible. Funny part is, on their website «office policy» states that after 10 minutes, the appt will need to be rescheduled. We were 7 minutes late!

I so wish I would’ve read all the other reviews for this place before I scheduled an appointment for my son. I chose NWP because it is very close to my home. My family just moved to Austin and my son was due for his 15 month well check. I had called to schedule the appointment about three to four weeks in advance and the morning of the appointment (1 hour before) I got a call saying they needed to reschedule because Dr. Benhammou had called in sick. If a patient did this, they would be charged a fee. Anyway, I rescheduled with a receptionist who told me to arrive at 2:50 on the new date to fill out new patient paper work. I got a message a couple of days before the appointment to confirm my 2:50 time and so I called back to confirm and clearly stated the correct time I was already told twice. So we showed up for the appointment and signed in and the receptionist at the front desk told me I was supposed to be there at 2:30 and that the doctor could not see us because we were late. I explained to her that I was told multiple times to be there at 2:50 and I was still refused. What a warm welcome that was. NOT! They clearly have plenty of miscommunication in that office and are extremely unprofessional. They do not have their stuff together at all! I will be happy to go elsewhere. Do not bother with this unprofessional practice.

I too am raising a grand daughter after having raised 6 children. This pediatric group is wonderful. My appointments are on time. The doctors all take their time explaining everything to both my granddaughter and myself. I really hate the fact that random people can give negative reviews. I think most people can see through this. If someone gives a really bad review they probably ARE the problem and just need to vent. I own a business as well and the few bad reviews I have gotten have been from
people who create their own drama.

I am raising two of my grandchildren after raising three daughters. I have seen pediatricians in every shape & color and practically every nationality (we were a career military family.)
This Pediatrics group is hands down the BEST I have ever encountered.
The children have been seen here now for over two and a half years. We have always been seen on time or shortly thereafter, the staff has consistently been friendly and helpful, and the kids are relaxed in the environment. It’s bright, cheery, kid oriented and yet professional.
We see Rania Benhammou and the kids love her. The three year old beams at her when she enters the room (and gives her a hug) and Dr Benhammou extends the respect and dignity a 10 year old boy needs when he visits.
I especially love the fact they have their own lab. Blood work is fast and things like strep tests are done in minutes.
I LOVE that Dr. Benhammou first takes the nutritional/​non-​pharmaceutical approach to minor health issues — a big departure from my experience with the medical community in general. Pills are not the end-​all to good health.

I am really surprised by the bad review written below. I have been taking my children to NW Pediatrics over a course of 14 years. My children are now 17,5, and 3 years old. We still take the two youngest to this practice. The Dr’s that are currently seeing children are Dr. Rane, Dr. Benhammou, Dr. Henderson, and Dr. Wiseman. Over the course of 14 years I have only had one misunderstanding with the office and spoke with the Dr. about it as well as the office manager. It was quickly resolved, and I would recommend that anybody that has a complaint contact the office management to resolve the problem. The Dr’s and the staff at this facility are outstanding! I have taken my children to the Dr. for teething, viruses, colic, strep throat, laryngitis, stomach viruses, you name it. There have been so many times that I have had a child with similar symptoms as the baby listed below. In many cases, I thought my child was sick with a bacterial infection and it turned out to be teething and this was acknowledged by Dr. Johnson, Dr. Rane, and Dr. Benhammous on many occasions. They never turned us away or talked down to us for bringing in a colicky child. They gave us sound advice each time on how to deal with each situation, and when they were really sick they would refer them to specialists if needed, order lab tests, or at times went so far to have us call them directly if things went South in the night. We have also seen Dr. Henderson a couple of times, she is pretty new to the practice and she fits right in as well. She is extremely nice, very approachable and will answer any and all questions open and honestly. Again, she didn’t turn me away for bringing them in with a fever, or viral symptoms. We do not ever feel rushed seeing any of these physicians, and they have changed their walk-​in clinic to accommodate the parents and sick children even more. You can call anytime during the week and they will work in your child for a sick visit instead of waiting in the lobby in the morning. This has turned out to be a much better option for my family. With all that being said, if you have a preference of one Dr over another due to a personality conflict or a misunderstanding you can request not to see them. It is that easy and the practice will accommodate you. They take time to provide excellent care to their patients and listen to your families needs. I hope this review helps. I am sorry that Paige had a bad experience, and I wonder if it was with a different physician.

I would venture to say the above review is a straight lie. This person probably works the other pediatric office she reviewed which coincidentally happens to be the only other review by this «user». This person visits NWP on 183 then decides to visit another office all the way off Bee Caves Rd. I bet. I have visited NWP several times and I did see Dr. Rani once she was extremely nice and said the exact opposite of the non-​sense written in the first review. The other times I have seen Dr. Benhammou who was also very warm and caring. She had no issues with me making my own vaccination schedule as opposed to my previous pediatrician who acted as if I was a horrible parent because I was not following the CDC’s schedule.

Dr. Rani is a fantastic doctor. My wife and I took both of our children to her for 3 years. We have since left Texas, but we wish that we still had her as our children’s pediatrician. She seemed to remember our daughter every time we brought her in. She took the time to talk to us and answer our questions — no matter how ridiculous. Dr Rani was always helpful and kept our kids healthy. What more could we ask for. If you are looking for a great pediatrician, go see Dr. Rani at NW Pediatrics.
