Born and raised in Austin, Hi-​Tech has been around since 1986. We are a true bastion of the mom-​and-​pop shop so we treat our customers like family too. We pride ourselves with our honesty and integrity. Our mission is to do it right the first time so we can get you on your way and bring you the best service possible.

We have three convenient locations to serve you. Our flagship is on S. Congress Avenue, our largest is in Kyle and our newest is right in Oak Hill.

We specialize in automotive repair & body, used car sales (with in-​house financing), and auto recycling (salvage). We expertly handle your automotive needs from simple oil changes and state inspections to engine rebuilds.

Fully equipped with up-​to-​date software and diagnosing machines specific to your car, ASE certified and well versed in how to deal with insurance companies if you get in a collision. You have the right to choose your auto body shop, and we are here to help!

We understand that having car issues can be stressful so we do our best to make it one less thing to worry about by offering rental cars or even nearby drop-off’s and pick-​up.

A customer’s satisfaction is our main concern, this is why we show you exactly what is wrong with the car and explain the problem thoroughly.

Maan and his crew are awesome and really saved me very last minute when I was in a bit of a crunch (no pun intended). We LOVE these guys! They know me by name when I call and any time I take either of our cars to Hi Tech Automotive they fix it at a very reasonable price. The people there are extremely personable and honest and they are good old-​fashioned mechanics who really know how to work on cars. I was advised by the dealership that the oil pressure was bad on my car and given an estimate for $ 3500 to replace the timing kit after paying them 130 to perform a diagnostic. I spoke to Hi-​Tech and they gave me a much better fair estimate for the same work and advised me on checking to make sure that this was really the issue. After this I found my problem was an inexpensive sensor that I replaced in 15 minutes.

I love taking my car here! Hi-​tech goes the extra mile to give a great customer experience. They have done my inspections, oil changes, battery replacement.
It is challenging to find a repair shop that you can trust. I ABSOLUTELY trust them with my car. I have some knowledge of cars. I feel they are knowledgeable and fair priced. They do not try to fix something that doesn’t need fixing! It’s called trust and respect and they have both from me. I know when I get behind the wheel of my car, I am safe.

The team at Hi-​Tech automotive goes beyond the call of duty to take care of their customers. They do a great job staying attentive and completing the work in a short amount of time. Having a honest mechanic to go to is difficult these days, and I would strongly suggest taking your vehicle to them for sales/​service. Maan is the man! He is not only a good mechanic, which is very important, he is also honest and friendly. That’s what I look for in a mechanic, and it isn’t easy to find! Plus, he has a lot of space to work on not only my Honda, but also my 22 foot, Volkswagon Eurovan. I give Hi-​Tech the highest recommendation, I am very pleased with the service.

Hi-​tech auto exceeded my expectations with fantastic customer service and did great work on my 2005 Scion tC for front suspension damage. They offered me a reliable loaner car to get me through the week at a low price of $ 10 a day. They also worked with my insurance company to keep costs down on the repairs. After getting my car back and driving it around I am happy with the results. Everything feels tight and my car is no longer pulling to the right nor do I have anymore alignment problems. I will be returning to this shop whenever my car is in need of work as well as recommend their services to others. Thanks for doing such a great job on my vehicle!

I took my husband’s truck into the Hi-​Tech location on Hwy 290 for an oil change, and I couldn’t be happier with the service I received! My husband uses full synthetic oil in his Dodge truck, and I was expecting this visit to come with a hefty price tag — I was astonished to see what a reasonable price I was charged for a full synthetic oil change! I was also blown away when the mechanic who completed the oil change told me about a few issues the truck has that need to be fixed — they even checked the brakes! And they were so professional when they told me about the issues that the truck has, there were absolutely no pushy sales or scare tactics, they just said, these are some issues you should definitely look into fixing. The owner of this location, Maan, is so incredibly kind and helpful too! I will definitely be a permanent customer of this shop! :)

I brought both my car and my husband’s 4 runner in for inspections… on the weekend! Yes, Hi-​Tech is open on Saturday!!! My car had a light out and they had the part needed to fix it right then and there. Later I dropped off my husband’s vehicle and went to run errands– I got a call as soon as it was ready but since I wasn’t done, they said I could pick it up anytime before they close. Super happy with the convenience and service I got. I love that they provided great service and that they’re in my neighborhood! Only had inspections done but would go back for more work if I needed it!

Mann was fabulös!!! I brought my car in for an oil change and Mann noticed sevearl other things wrong and fixed them. It was such a nice surprise to get more than what I paid for. I appreciate and like to support a family owned business. I will return.
The previous negative rating points out that the owner was not born in the United States and calls him a «foreigner». Is the writer somehow indicating that unless you were born in America you are somehow inferior or dishonest? This comment degrades the writer and forfeits his credibility. I paid $ 80 for a synthetic oil change which is on parr with other garages. Regular oil is much cheaper.
