Heroes and Legacies has an amazing selection of fine cigars and more. The staff is also Knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommended.

I popped in from out of town and was blown away by their hospitality. Upon entrance I I was very impressed with the huge walk in humidor with a separate attached room for higher end cigars. The selection of cigars was unbelievable, they stocked many cigars that I simply cant get in Colorado. Because I was an out of towner I was welcome to the members lounge. The lounge was very comfortable and I was welcomed by the regular members. What more is there to say, Prices were on point, the humidor is remarkable and the lounge is fit for a king.
Guys you do it right

Moving to Austin from California is a blessing and a curse. I thought I had left behind my favorite cigar hangouts… but I have found a fantastic replacement. This shop, large and smokey, is a much needed place to hang out. The cigar prices are unbelievable and the employees are very helpful and friendly. Parking kinda sucks… but that’s the only negative.

I called and spoke to Cisco Luna on the phone before arriving as I mentioned to him that I’m passing through this town. He was great on the phone and welcomed me to stop by. Upon arriving in the store he greeted me with a friendly gesture. I love this store the moment I walked in it has a great vibe it’s located up stairs could be a bit confusing for some folks using navigation. They have seating inside as well is outside. They have an excellent selection of cigars and accessories very well stocked humidor. They do have a private lounge for members only they allowed me to check it out and enjoy my stogie. Everything in the store is priced fair. They also have a barber on the premises that something you don’t see everyday. Clean facility. I encourage anyone that’s looking for a great cigar shop to stop by and see it for yourself. Keep up the good work guys. Cheers

My visit to Heroes & Legacies cigar shop in Austin, TX.
If you’re ever at the Arboretum shopping mall at Green Hills in Austin, TX take a minute a check out this smoke shop.
Location: It was honestly kind of hard to find, tucked in behind the Barnes & Noble at the convergence of 183 and Mopac. Basically, it’s in a corner of the shopping centre that a person would never know about unless somebody else told them about it (I think that’s to its advantage).
Selection: The humidor is simply the largest I have seen. Stacks of stoges. I was a kid in a candy shop. Also, the pipe, tobacco, and other products seemed to be in full-​supply.
Prices: As far as I can tell they seemed as fair as the prices I’ve seen on the internet. I spent $ 47 for the box of Davidoff cigarillos and 5 café espressos.
Atmosphere: Friendly accommodating staff, laid back gentlemen reclining and smoking stoges, nice balcony, comfortable lounge. There’s also a laid back picnic area behind the shopping mall with a small playground which is an ideal spot to light one up if you seek solitude.
Overall, a great experience, truly a cigar-​smoking gentlemen’s Shangri-​La.
I will most likely be back.

Great cigar shop tucked behind Cheesecake Factory in Arboretum. Have been able to find many nice cigars for gifts.

Had the opportunity to visit with a member on Sunday. Great time at the lounge. Generously discounted cigars. I bought a box of Perdomo small batch at about $ 6 apiece! Couple of cigars, PGA Championship golf on the TV and BYOB nice way to spend a Sun afternoon.

Maybe not your conventional date location, but my girlfriend and I sometimes end up here and enjoy spending an hour or two smoking and checking out the merchandise. We’ve even thought about getting a membership to the private club area. The humidor is large, and carries plenty of our favorite brand, but, strangely, there’s no water in the cooler, just sodas.

Really nice place to buy and or smoke cigars in the northern Austin area. They have a nice humidor with tons of cigars and an indoor and outdoor smoking area. The staff was real friendly and is in a good part of town. The only reason I didn’t rate them hire was because parking was hard to come by.

I have hit up H&L several times in the past few years as I pass through Austin on business. They have a well stocked humidor and a plethora of accessories. A BIG plus is the ability to smoke in several places here. Your choices are at a table inside, the lounge inside and even small tables outside. If your from the northeast like me, any chance to stay outside in the warm sun and air to smoke is always a bonus. The staff is ALWAYS friendly and extremely accommodating. Heroes & Legacies, a GREAT place to enjoy good company and a good smoke.

Parking is sadly limited, then you’ll walk up two flights of stairs to reach the biz. Stock can be hit and miss at times, but cigars here are fresh. No other Austin Cigar business takes care of their humidor like H&L.

This place is a cigar aficianado’s dream! They have a giant walk in humifor with every cigar known to man! Inside the humidor is another room labeled reserve or connoiseur collection! They also have a lounge for members decked out with leather ciuches, giant televisions, and some poker tables! Whether you are looking for a humidor for the cigar lover, pipe tobacco, or just a cool place to hangout this is the spot!

H&L has been around a long time. Their cigar selection is second to none in north Austin. Wish they would start carrying more gift items like they did in the past. Otherwise, great place to get a stogie and smoke with a view.

Not a bad place to relax and enjoy a cigar. They have a pretty good selection, prices are not to bad either. The temperature could be a little cooler in the shop. I was looking for some 7−20−4’s, La Hoja, Velaroso’s and Mbombay which is just now starting to show up in Texas but I didn’t see any. I may of over looked them. The staff was friendly.

I am a fan of cigars and I have smoked ever since I could. While I love a good cigar shop with nice selection and a welcoming atmosphere, this only ticks one of those boxes regularly. The first two times I went in, I felt welcome and was astonished with the selection.
Sadly, when I went for the third time, I found that the man at the counter couldn’t care less about me and instead wanted to talk to the older, more seasoned customers. I know that I am young but I still spend $ 80 to $ 150 every time I go in there. Finally when I got up to the counter (it was lunch time and I guess they get busy around then) he was busy finishing his conversation with the man in front of me to even acknowledge me with a «Hi,» or «did you find everything you need?»
In my return trips I have had shotty service, which sometimes it is great and makes up for the terrible service I get every other time I go there, sometimes isn’t. The selection, once you get used to it, is not all that impressive but it does have the second best selection in Austin so I really cannot complain.
Lastly, one of the other commenters said that there was a lounge where you can sit, but that requires you to have membership and that is quite expensive. It is not as high priced as other shops in Austin though, so if you are looking to join a cigar shop as a member, I would recommend these guys, they treat their members VERY well.
The would get a 5 star rating if they could get their act together and the service more regular.

My first visit at Heroes & Legacies was good. The man behind the counter was courteous, helpful and assisted my girlfriend and myself find great cigars in the humidor. The experience was so pleasurable I asked if they fixed, or were willing to look at, a nonfunctioning Colibri lighter I had. He was more than happy to take look at it and told me to bring it in. At that time I would’ve given the place four stars.
That being said, my next experience was two stars so I am going to give them a three. I returned yesterday to bring in the lighter that I had procrastinated in bringing in for awhile. I’m not sure what happened in the meantime, but the friendly man that was there before was certainly not working.
I entered and nobody was at the counter/​register. I patiently waited a brief moment when a woman in pants, t-​shirt, an unbuttoned, untucked shirt over the tee and baseball cap came up next to me and said something unintelligible. At first I did not think she worked there and was talking to someone else. I excused myself and asked her to repeat what she said. It was then I realized she was asking what I needed help with. I relayed that I needed help fixing a lighter. She asked if it was a Zykar. I had no idea what she was talking about so I just handed over the lighter. She asked another question which I could not hear and when I asked her again what she said she «huffed» and made no attempt to hide her immediate frustration simply because I could not hear her over the combination of air cleaners whirling, her rapid fire line of questioning and my confusion over her questions.
It was only then that she actually went behind the counter where she could be more easily heard. I apologized, not her, for the miscommunication and we proceeded. She went through the general fixes of bleeding any air/​gas and refilling the lighter. In the meantime she began pushing Zykar butane lighter catalogs on me. Ahhhh… that’s what Zykar is. A simple rephrasing of her initial question stating, «What brand of lighter is it? Is it a Zykar?» Would’ve solved the earlier confusion.
I mentioned that the lighter had sentimental value and I was only interested in fixing it, not replacing. As we waited for the butane to cool off she continued to push other lighters on me and brought out behind the counter another type of butane lighter that looked more like it was for lighting pipes other than tobacco. FYI, I don’t dress or act like I need that type of lighter, but perhaps that assumption was in my head.
After it still wouldn’t light she said the flint was out, which was funny because it sparked just fine before I came into the store. At this point I was just trying to make a graceful exit. I had no interest now in browsing the store or even thinking about walking into the humidor. I thanked her for her time and left.
For a place that has a «Members Only» smoking lounge you’d think the employees would at least be dressed in a semi-​professional manner. I know it’s Austin, but a customer should be able to tell if someones an employee even when they are not behind the counter. She was trying to help, but the overall approach was severely lacking. Everyone has bad moments/​days so I can be understanding. This review was also a review/​release for me about the whole experience. Hopefully, everyone can learn from it.

Heroes & Legacies smells like a man too, but in a much less nose-​burning way than Brut.
I’m talkin pipe tobacco, one of my all-​time favorite scents, and the smell of cigars wafting from the humidor are the aromas dominating your senses here.
I usually just head straight for that humidor and pick out a cigar or three.
If I ever need help choosing a special occasion smoke, or would just like their opinion, the knowledgeable and friendly staff are always happy to assist me.
Not only do they carry tobaccos, pipes, cigar cutters, ashtrays, and fancy lighters, they also have a multitude of shaving products.
Speaking of the art of shaving, once I had some time to burn after purchasing a cigar and I noticed a man setting up at the old-​fashioned barber chair to do cuts and shaves. I was in need of a shave and beard trim, so I asked how much. He quoted me $ 5.
5 bucks?! Hell yeah!
He was super nice and did a great job on the beard trim, but the straight razor shave on my neck and cheeks left me lookin like I’d been in a papercut fight. Nicked up one side and down the other. I had to re-​shave when I got home, but the warm towel, trim, and after-​shave was still well worth the $ 5.
The prices on cigars are about a dollar more per cigar than you’d spend at Spec’s, but the service and selection make up for it.
If you like good tobaccos or are in need of a high quality man-​gift, I suggest you check out H&L.
Oh, I almost forgot! You can BYOB there, if you want to lounge, smoke, and use their wi-​fi. How cool is that?

Good prices made better than Internet prices by the near 30% discount given to our group. The people working there are both knowledgeable and nice in an environment is laid back and classy.
If I lived closer I would be a regular. As it is I will be dropping in anytime I’m in Austin.

There is no way on this fine earth that you could come into Heroes and Legacies and not feel like a total man. Heck, I walked in to every human in this shop smoking some sort of legal substance. And the place was just perfumed with all of the assorted tobacco room note you could ever want.
The lady helping me out? Absolutely amazing. With an overwhelming amount of advice in my brain provided by her, I was pretty knowledgeable by the time I left. So mentally exhausted from the expansive world of tobacco was I that I just wanted to light a fire in the store and bask in all of its glory.
I don’t even know how to describe how great this shop is. There is the Art of Shaving collection, with an extremely diverse set of products to offer, and well… pipes galore and a ridiculous amount of tobacco blends, all prepared by hand and ready for dishing out.
They really know how to get you into the finer things in life such as tobacco here. Whether it means stepping into their smoking room, taking advantage of their hospitality, or simply just walking around and getting amazed by pretty much every aspect of the store.
