I smoked your limited release Boxer for the first time tonight.
The only thing I didn’t like about it is when It was gone. My fingers got burnt a little bit because I didn’t want to put it out when it got down to the nub.

As a long time cigar smoker I am always suspicious of store brand cigars, naturally I was hesitant to believe Bobalu was any different. I read an article about Bobalu on the Austinot blog and decided to give it a go. WOW! I love this place! The cigars are great, it was one of my first stops when I moved to the Austin area recently. Well constructed, great draw, and lots of smoke with little to no burn issues has been my experience with 90% of their cigar lineup. Some of the flavor profiles are a little simple, but still good. My favorites though have a great range of flavor. My personal favorite is the orange label criollo, great stuff! Personally the outlet on Burnet Rd. is my favorite location. The staff there was super helpful and knowledgeable. Many of these cigars stand up to some of my favorite brand name cigars! Keep it up Bobalu!

This is hands down the best local cigar shop I have been to. The cigars at Bobalu are quality. They have just about every type you can think of, for both men and women. I have tried just about every cigar they have, except the flavored ones as those aren’t my type. The prices are awesome and I would rather smoke a Bobalu than a national brand as the quality seems a little better as each one is HAND rolled! If you are an avid cigar smoker, definitely join the cigar club and save some serious money!

I love Bobalu Cigars… on Sixth street. The cigars are great. The variable types of cigars and prices are fantastic.
That being said, the new building leaves much to be desired. First off its hard to spot from the street. If I didn’t know EXACTLY where the location was, I would drive right past it. Second, I think they need to block off the admin section. Showcase the cigar rolling, but the rest of that is a bit of an eyesore. Third, the lounge area feels like a diner. From the tables to the chairs, it just isn’t comfortable. And finally, if they can steal the ambiance from the Sixth street location, it would definitely be a nice hangout.
The Heroes and Legacies and the old Green River Restaurant cigar lounges are great examples of a relaxing place to smoke a ciger.

Hooray! Bobalu’s new store is open! This is by far my favorite cigar, and they have plenty of room to grab a smoke and relax.
