Being what some would call serial entrepreneurs we found the thought of owning Greater Austin Moving to be more than intriguing, we found it to be rather exciting! Having watched our good friend grow this company from ground up, we were already familiar with many aspects of the business. We had spent countless hours brainstorming with him about how to take his company to the next level, how to innovate the moving process, and how to set his company apart in the industry. We are geeky that way. So, as we evaluated the opportunity to acquire GAM and carry forward the legacy that we had already been involved in from its inception, it just seemed more and more like a natural fit for our family. Yes, this is a family owned, woman led company in every sense. I am Tammy Muto, the proud owner of Greater Austin Moving. The rest of the Muto clan is made up of my husband, Anthony Muto and our two budding entrepreneurs Sophia and Dante.

Highly recommend Greater Austin Moving Co. Family-​owned by Anthony Morton and his wife Tammy. A couple of the guys who helped Anthony with the move were ex-​Marines (now UT students) who were strong, efficient, courteous, and careful EVEN though it took from 8am to about 11pm on 12⁄29. Anthony came out a few days later and balanced some furniture that was on uneven footing. Huge recommendation.

Greater Austin Moving is Top Notch in my book! Tammy and her husband Anthony were professional from the very beginning. I was making my move right after the New Year and they never skipped a beat while helping me set my move up during Christmas. Tammy was always just a phone call away to ensure everything went smooth. Not only did they tackle my home and furniture, but they moved a very large trampoline for us, which made my children very happy to be able to have it rebuilt in our new back yard! Their moving team was 100% dedicated that all my furniture, boxes, televisions were safely wrapped and taken on and off truck with great care. If I ever having a moving need again, I would not hesitate to call Greater Austin Moving! Thank you Tammy and Anthony!

Thank you so much for the help with our move. The guys Pete and Omar were amazing. When we moved our stuff into storage a year and a half ago just my son and I did it over a period of 2 months and many trips. The guys did it in 1 day. I could not believe the amount of stuff we had. They made me feel as though they were moving their own belongings with their attention to detail and care for our things. Pete and Omar made us customers for life. Once again Thank You.

Here’s my story: Way too much per hour for three college age movers. One was professional, the other two spent more time screwing around and texting. After all is said and done, I have three pieces of furniture with broken parts. One cannot be repaired to new, another has an apolstery tack broken off and irreplaceable, the third is a custom aspenwood bed that has a piece of the footboard split. I have that glued and clamped, but it too will not be like it was. Go ahead, take your chances. I personally would never use this mover again.

The guys from Greater Austin Moving did a WONDERFUL job moving our business! They were very professional, friendly, and careful with our items. We had a great experience with Greater Austin Moving and their crew of Pete, Dominque and a third guy. We moved into a temporary apartment and they were great about which items went into the apartment and which ones went into the garage below for storage. I tried to mark all the boxes but missed a few and they never griped or complained about having to take them back down. They showed up on time and moved us in an organized and timely manner. We’ll be using them again to move into our new house.

I love Greater Austin Moving! I had to find movers for a last-​minute move to a new apartment, and luckily my boss recommended I check out Greater Austin Moving. Unlike other companies, Greater Austin Moving worked with me to fit me in and offered me a great rate. The movers came right on time and were extremely professional, friendly, and fast. I had several large pieces I was worried about, but they handled them with the utmost care. They also dismantled my bed frame for me and ensured that all my boxes were sealed up correctly. They made me feel completely at ease throughout the moving experience and got all of my belongings got to my new place without a single scratch. Easiest, most painless moving experience I’ve ever had!

We used Greater Austin Moving and had a very good experience. Competitive bid, arrived on-​time, moved us without damaging any of our things … what more could you ask for! Oh yeah, and a few weeks later when we had to temporarily move some stuff out of the first floor of our new house and into a storage unit in our driveway (so a painting contractor’s mistakes could be cleaned up), we called on short notice and the Greater Austin Moving guys dropped by to move the stuff out and then back in again a few days later, all for a very low fee.
We’re not in any hurry to move again anytime soon, but when that time comes, we know who we’ll be calling!

I was so impressed with the service, promptness, and professionalism of Greater Austin Moving! Having had a bad experience in Denver, it was a relief to have true professionals unload my truck. My packing job was particularly poor, causing a number of my items to shift to the back of the truck and block the door (horrors!). The Austin moving team was able to get all of my items out of the truck efficiently and even offered to put together my bed and helped move a delivered dresser.
I love doing business with family owned companies who care about their clients and go the extra mile! Highly recommend.

I got three quotes for my very large full service move (pack, move, unpack). Greater Austin Moving was not only the most cost effective moving company but the customer service was incredible. I have moved several times in the last 20 years. All with full service moves. This was the first company that I truly felt cared about our belongings as if it was their own. Tammy and Anthony wanted to know any and all items in the house that were of great value or needed any kind of special care or attention. They weren’t looking to up charge; they simply wanted to be sure it was properly wrapped, packed, boxed, covered, etc. Tammy and Anthony aren’t long distant owners either. They are hands on and involved in their business. In the three day process we saw one if not both Tammy and Anthony on site checking in or even working themselves. If you choose this company you will get much more than you paid for. They are fantastic!

I have used Greater Austin Moving going on two times now. They are professional, prompt and attentive to moving needs. They handled a last minute move for my daughter and was so accommodating and helpful. Tammy in the office was so friendly and went above and beyond what I expected. We were in a bind at the time and she took the steps necessary to ensure a smooth and quick move. They took great care in moving an entire apartment of furniture. The staff always responds either with a phone call or via email. The pricing is reasonable but what makes them different is that they will accommodate your needs and are willing to work with you to get the job done. I am using them again next month for another move and could not be happier with finding this outstanding moving company. I have passed along their info to all of my friends as well.

I recently moved from my home in South Austin to a place a little more central and contacted Tammy to figure out a few things. I was so thankful on the quick estimate that she sent me and the friendliness of her staff. My biggest concern was an old piano of mine being moved after so many years of sitting in the same place. The gentlemen that moved it assured me that everything would run smoothly and it did! They were even kind enough to let me figure out exactly how I wanted my new room to be set up. A girl needs that to relax when surrounded by so many moving boxes! I will keep The Greater Austin Moving company as my families go to moving company for years to come!

I was Greater Austin Moving’s first move under new management and they could not have done a better job. Tammy was very easy to reach and scheduled a move time that worked with my busy schedule. The movers (Pete and Dominque) were friendly and prompt and they worked so quickly! Glad to say that absolutely none of my fragile pieces were damaged or even dinged.
