We were in Dallas one weekend at an event and ran into an artist friend of ours and he was desperately looking for someone in Austin who could get one of his canvases framed in 2 days. I told him that I had heard that Fastframe in Austin could do that for him. We made a call and everything went like clock work, the piece was framed on time and for a reasonable price. When my husband and I learned it was a franchise… we knew we had found our new small business venture. We have loved every minute of it!

Born and raised in Austin. Worked at Motorola for 28 years but after the slow down in the semiconductor business, I decided to try to make some money doing something I enjoyed doing… working with my hands. Spent a lot of time working in the shop and particularly now enjoy working with both Josh and Jim, our certified picture framers on staff. Their craft is very unique and specialized. I could only hope to eventually frame like they do one day. But it’s a terrific business and it allows me everyday to meet and enjoy the company of a lot of different people. Helping them to make selections for framing some of their most personal items including baby pictures, wedding portraits, anniversary celebrations, a trinket picked up on the last family vacation. We can frame nearly anything and yet have framed some pretty crazy stuff. It really is a fun business to be a part of and we’ve enjoyed it.
