Oliver Shuttlesworth started ESPEROS after returning home from a trip to South America where the poverty he witnessed caused him to create a business that helped to support education around the world.

Business Owner

Oliver Shuttlesworth is the Founder of ESPEROS, a socially conscious contemporary

lifestyle brand based in Austin, Texas that produces high quality, functional, and stylish

bags and accessories.

Prior to founding ESPEROS, Oliver received his Communications degree at The

University of Texas at Austin. Out of school, he worked in advertising before getting the

urge to pursue something meaningful that he was passionate about. Several trips to

Central America heightened his awareness for local children’s lack of access to

education and the debilitating effects of extreme poverty. He wanted to create a

sustainable solution that would help equip children in the developing world with the tools

needed to build a brighter future for themselves and their communities.

Inspired, Oliver returned to Austin and launched ESPEROS in 2012. His vision was to

build a consumer driven solution that sells timeless bags and accessories to aid children

around the world with education.
