Emily Craft DDS

I just had my first appointment at Pecan Park Family Dentistry and I am happy to say I have finally found a dentist in the NW Austin Area. The check in process was super easy and the front desk personnel was nice and the conversation friendly and genuine. The RDA was sweet and very engaging. If you are nervous to visit a dentist I really feel you would be at ease here. I met with Dr. Craft after my x-​rays and she was easy to talk to and did a thorough intake. The exam went smooth and gentle and the cleaning was a breeze. I had a really awesome experience here. Everything was clean and the staff was friendly and efficient from scheduling to good bye. I highly recommend my new dentist :)

I really like Dr Craft and this review is not a reflection of her but rather the other dentist and the staff. I recently went in for routine cleaning and saw the other dr. It’s unfortunate that the staff did not tell me that i was scheduled with someone else because I would have deferred my appointment. Some people are very particular about who they see, and I don’t think it’s right to automatically schedule you with another dr without you knowing/​acknowledging this. That’s problem #1.
Problem #2 is that she made me wait for her for 25 minutes AFTER my cleaning. After about 20 minutes the hygenist did come in and tell me it was just «going to be a few more minutes.» I was ready to walk out. The cleaning didn’t even take 25 minutes! What a waste of my time and then the actual evaluation seemed sub par to me (Problem #3). She did not do the usual poking around to find cavities etc. I would NEVER recommend the other dentist. I think her name was Dr G but not sure.
Recommend this place if you can get Dr. Craft. If not, then I would go somewhere else.

Emily Craft is awesome! She’s always friendly and her staff is very welcoming. I haven’t ever been in pain in her office and I’ve gotten a lot of work done. I had both of my front teeth replaced here and they look awesome!

I haven’t been to a dentist in 5 years. This visit was short and beyond helpful. Everyone there was sweet and inviting. My manager recommended Dr. Craft to me when I needed an emergency visit for my wisdom teeth. Kelly and Ashley made me feel at ease as well did Dr. Craft. They accomdated me that exact day and took care of me. My boyfriend and I were going to need a dentist since we are moving to Austin in July. So happy I found the perfect one! I’m getting my wisdom teeth taken out there at the beginning of July and have no hesitation due to the wonderful staff there.

Dr. Craft was very friendly and explained all the options available for my situation.
Her staff made me feel very comfortable and they also were thorough in explaining the procedures.
I like the place it self. Nice relaxing colors, the smell was nice and also friendly people. I highly recommend this place and specially Dr. Craft she is very professional !!

I am very happy with my experience today. She didn’t push fluoride and told me to do what I’m comfortable with. She takes a conservative approach to fillings and said I only need 3 small fillings, unlike my previous dentist that suggested I may need 10 and wanted to yank out one of my back molars just because it is flush to the gumline at the top. This dentist mentioned nothing about that tooth. Her and her staff are very personable and friendly.
Highly recommended.

Absolutely fantastic visit. Dr. Craft & Ashley are always a joy to visit with, and I’m never left without a quick laugh in between water & suction breaks. Easy going environment, and not at all scary. If you are nervous at all about going to the dentist, schedule an appointment with Dr. Craft. She will change your entire outlook on going to the dentist!

Dr. Craft and her entire staff are awesome! I have been a patient for 3 years now. Everyone there is really friendly, helpful and cheerful. I was with the same dentist for for 15 years, then I moved to Austin. I was really anxious about being able to find another dentist that I trust and like as much. Dr. Craft listened to my concerns and really took care of me. And I love that every time I go there, they all have smiles on their faces. If I could give them more stars, I would.

Seriously the best dental experience ever! I normally hate going to the dentist, but in the interest of still having teeth In 10 years, I force myself to go. I have to say, this was BY FAR the most gentle yet effective dental cleaning I have ever had in my life! The hygienist was super nice and the whole process was quick and probably half as much filled with pain an anguish as I’m used to. I highly recommend them!

Yup. Still 5 stars. We have been going to Dr. Craft for more than a year and are still very pleased with this dental practice. I have had three cleanings and some substantial work done and I am very happy with the results.
Not a hint of pushing for unnecessary work and reasonable prices for the needed procedures,
After only about a year with this office, it’s sort of like visiting with our daughters.

I’ve been going to Pecan Park for a little over a year now and I’ve consistently had great experiences. Melissa, Emily, and the entire crew are so friendly and welcoming. They make going to the dentist a painless experience, which is saying a lot! I highly recommend them!

BELIEVE THE HYPE! Sometimes these Unilocal reviews are hit or miss. This time, however, they’re a clear hit. Dr. Craft is as good as it gets. She’s very warm, knowledgeable, and really takes the time to come up with a comprehensive dental plan that works for you. My hygienist, Kathy was exceptional as well. She curbed my high anxiety, and she made sure I was comfortable and my needs were met. I was reluctant to switch to this office because I adored my old dentist. Unfortunately, he was located down South, and I had recently moved North, making the drive way too far. I’m so glad I decided to find a place closer to where I live, and I found Dr. Craft. It was so worth it!

My first appointment was an excellent experience. Upon arriving early I was able to relax in the big, inviting waiting room. The staff took my X-​rays and then reviewed the my dental history and asked me detailed questions about my answers. They wanted to make sure I was as comfortable as possible and what they could do to make that happen. I don’t remember being to a dental office this detail oriented and customer focused. Dr. Craft was really warm and pleasant while attending to my X-​ray results. She also talked to me throughout the cleaning, giving me pointers on how I could take even better care of my teeth. So glad I found this office.

After having a horrific experience at Castel Dental I was hoping for a change, and it came in a big way. The staff is super nice and very knowledgeable. The check up and the cleaning process was flawless, Melissa explain me at each step what is she doing and what to expect.
Dr. Craft patient and calmness in her treatment is a change from Castel Dental where it’s always noisy and hectic. Her explanations were coherent and easy to understand.
Pecan Park Family Dentistry is a keeper.

Everything about emily craft and her office is a pure win!
I’m a fricken baby when it comes to dentists… In fact I haven’t been to a dentist in 15 years. Then last year a dang popcorn kernel broke half my tooth and the thing I dreaded most was upon me.
After going to shady dentists and waiting a year because of fear to have my tooth pulled, I ended up on Unilocal for a dentist.
Emily had all positive reviews so I gave her a call.
The staff was amazing!!! Kelly and Ashley made me feel like I was visiting friends for lunch. Everyone was so nice. The office was warm and sweet. It had free coffee, snacks and lemon water.
Emily craft was gah dang amazing! Literally. This young woman made me feel so safe and treated me like my tooth extraction would be a walk in the park… Guess what? She was right. It was!
I’m the biggest wuss y’all and the thought of pulling and shots and instruments frightened the bejesus outa me. But she calmed all fears and my tooth extraction felt like I was getting a cleaning. She took her time, told me everything that was going to happen. And it was over so fast.
My fears once again got the best of me.
I can’t stress enough how much I love this doctor and her staff.
If you’re anything like me and the thought of going to the dentist makes you almost poop your pants than call emily craft!!!
Fricken lurve her. So happy I found a dentist for life.

A coworker just emailed my company asking for dentist recommendations. Let’s just say I wrote a novel about Emily Craft back to him, which I will reproduce with minor edits here:
Dear Steve, OMG I have the perfect dentist for you. Emily Craft at Pecan Park Family Dentistry. My fiancé and I have been going to her for like 4 years and we LOVE HER. She’s the absolute coolest dentist and person. She’s helped us out with a variety of things from cavities to gingivitis and has recommended nothing we didn’t need. Totally focused on her patients’ individual concerns and making you feel at ease and answering any questions you could possibly have.
She recently went above and beyond helping me out with the timing of my Invisalign, so it’s finished before my wedding. A saint I tell you. If you want a ridiculously good experience at the dentist that you didn’t even think was possible, I’m telling you it will happen with her.

P. S. She is very gentle and conservative. And her entire office staff is great to deal with.
P. P. S. And one time, at a point where our company’s dental insurance temporarily changed and didn’t cover her practice, I never went to another dentist (that would be immoral) but I had an allergic reaction to toothpaste with baking soda. In desperation I called Pecan Park and received a call back from Emily herself. She 1) convinced me I was not in fact dying, 2) explained what was going on in my mouth and 3) called in a prescription for some magical numbing mouthwash that fixed the problem.

If only going to the dentist as a kid were this enjoyable. Frankly, sometimes when I come here I find myself wrongly getting angry because it’s so pleasant. I mean, it’s the dentist; shouldn’t the dentist be scary and unfriendly? But, that’s not the case at Pecan Park Family Dentistry. I just have to take a deep breath and accept this new dentist experience.
I will say that the last time I visited Dr. Craft’s office, during the teeth cleaning my gums were tickled. I’m really ticklish, so I thought about taking a star off, but that would be ridiculous. I was giggling at the dentist instead of crying (like I used to when I was a kid).

Dr. Craft is amazing, I was referred to her by some coworkers and I had not been to the dentist in well over a year. My last dental experience was not amazing so that is why I have not been to the dentist in awhile.
Well I was pretty nervous because I knew I had some issues with my teeth and my last dentist would make me feel like an idiot but as soon as I walked in everyone was extremely nice and my hygienist made genuine conversation with me.
When I met Dr. Craft she was amazing, very nice and really explains what is going on with my dental care and answered all of my questions. I actually look forward to going into the office for dental work, never in a million years did I think I would look forward to going to the dentist until now.

I reserve my five star reviews for exemplary experiences like the one I had with Dr. Craft.
When I first arrived this morning Dr. Craft was there to greet me herself. When I’ve been to other dentists, I usually don’t get to meet the dentist until he or she comes around to glance at my teeth for 15 seconds. Dr. Craft introduced me to the rest of her staff and I was immediately brought back to my room.
I remember noticing that I was the only patient there this morning. At first I thought this was odd, but then I understood why after my cleaning. It’s because Dr. Craft does everything herself! The hygienist only took my dental photos and the rest Dr. Craft did.
Dr. Craft spent nearly an hour with me, getting to know me, cleaning my teeth and educating me. I have NEVER had this kind of experience with a dentist. They are usually in in a flash and out the next.
Unfortunately, I have a couple cavities, but to tell you the truth, I don’t even mind that much. I’m actually kind of looking forward to seeing Dr. Craft again sooner rather than later. Now who ever says that about a dentist?!
