BEST DENTISTS EVER!!! I have been coming here since I was a kid, but I moved away for a while so I had to see another dentist. No one else compares to Dr. Ferguson. Now is son-​in-​laws work there as well and they are also very nice. The office is gorgeous and comfortable. The dental hygienists are always very kind and do a thorough job, too. I never want to go to another dentist.

I can’t believe there is only one review online about Dr. Bob and his staff. The reason most of us post on these sites is to complain and let others know about the lack of service the’ve gotten so my only reason I can imagine that there is only one is because people ARE pleased. The old «no news is good news» kind of thing.
My experience with Dr. Bob Ferguson goes back over 20 years. When I first moved to Austin in 1992, I had dental insurance for the first time and a coworker said «go see Dr. Bob.» I never went anywhere else and never thought a second time about it. He’s professional, courteous and genuinely cares. He’s a stickler for detail so if it’s not done right, he’ll make it right. If he doesn’t think he can do it, he’ll say so and send you elsewhere.
I’ve had it all done at his office– basic fillings, teeth bleaching, crowns, veneers, etc. All of my services have been to my satisfaction and I’m hard to please. He has staff (especially the wonderful, ageless Chris in the front office) who have worked for him for over 20 years. He has high expectations of himself and his staff but treats them fairly.
He even called in prescriptions for me when I showed up with a sinus infection twice (routine for me, you can set a clock by when they would happen each year) so I didn’t have to wait to schedule an appt with my regular doctor and delay getting well. And as usual, I felt better the next morning when I got out of bed so he saved me from missing work and quality of life by helping me. When I tried one of the new bleaching trays he was using but it didn’t work for me (strong, West Texas tetracycline stains on the teeth that didn’t budge until we did the veneer work), he refunded my money. If that doesn’t speak volumes, what does??? Patients are appreciated and cared for when they visit his office.
Quality costs and so if you go to Dr. Bob, don’t be expecting to pay cut rate prices. He’s top notch in his work, has more than two dozen years of experience under his belt and really delivers.
I’ll close this out by saying I’m not a paid spokesperson and no one made me write this glowing review of Dr. Bob and his staff.

I was referred to Dr. Bob after moving to Austin from Southern California. I was suffering from a toothache, which turned out to be two old caps I needed replaced. My initial consultation with Dr. Bob was informative and didn’t feel at all like the usual dentist sales pitch. I could tell that Dr. Bob genuinely cared, even though he just met me. He took the time to explain to me exactly why my caps needed to be replaced, showing me x-​rays and pictures of the area.
I went back a few months after my initial consultation to have the work done (once my new insurance kicked in) and couldn’t have been happier with my visit. The work took a few hours, but flew by mainly because of how nice he and his staff are. My dental assistant was Sara and she was friendly and talkative, even asking me several times if I was comfortable and wanted any water. Throughout the process, Dr. Bob explained exactly what he was doing every step of the way. It might sound silly, but I felt like I was being educated, rather than just sitting there bored.
I would highly recommend Dr. Bob as he is by far the best dentist I have had in my 30+ years of dental work.
