Family Physician. Dr. Butler is currently accepting new patients and takes most insurances, including TriCare. He has taken the occasional chicken in trade, call ahead and speak with Mary to schedule an appointment.

History
Established in 2003.
Dr. Butler received a Bachelor of Science degree from Mary Hardin-Baylor in 1986 and is a graduate of the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He completed a transitional/rotating internship in Fort Wayne Indiana before spending 4 years in the Navy as a General Medical Officer assigned to the United States Marines. Ten countries later… He completed a residency in Family Practice at Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton, California. After completing his 10 year Navy career in Meridian, Mississippi, he moved to Austin in 1998.
Prior to establishing his own practice Dr. Butler was associated with Austin Regional Clinic. Dr. Butler opened his offices within Synergy Plaza on Jollyville in Northwest Austin in 2003. Dr. Butler takes pride in running a comprehensive solo-practitioner medical practice providing personalized care to his patients. Dr. Butler values uninterrupted patient interaction and thus doesn’t use a computer while providing patient care.

Dr. Butler considers one of the greatest rewards of the Family Doctor to be building the doctor/patient relationship through wellness and sickness, and sharing in each patient’s trials and triumphs.
Dr. Butler practices medicine with time– honored methods of Family Doctors; he carefully listens to history brought by his patient, performs thorough examination to confirm diagnosis and eliminate other abnormalities.
Dr. Butler is a member of the Texas Medical Association, The American Academy of Family Practice, The Texas Academy of Family Practice and is retired from the Navy Reserve.
Outside of caring for his patients, Dr. Butler’s hobbies include hunting, scuba diving, car racing, travel, and spending time with his «best buddy,» Reagan, whom he adopted from a Golden Retriever rescue group after his deployment on the USS Ronald Reagan.
