Austin Home Entertainment is a resource for anyone looking to learn more about their options in the world of home theater & hIgh-​end audio system installation. Our service is offered to new and existing homes & businesses through out the Austin area. We work with homes that are not prewired for audio and video and we can add the wiring during construction if you are building a home.

Give us a call if you need to route wiring without attic access. Many times we can add surround sound without damaging any drywall.

Need a few TV’s installed on your walls? We stock a large variety of mounting hardware for any size TV and any application. Some mounts that we carry can extend beyond 30 inches from the back wall so that you can repurpose those deep cabinetry coves that are sometimes found in older houses.

Is your house already prewired? Let us know if the wiring is prewired to the walls or to the ceilings. We specialize in setting up media rooms in prewired homes as well. We like to see the front 3 speakers wired to the wall if possible for a dedicated media room because in-​ceiling speakers for the front three is not optimum for sound. If your home is wired to the ceiling for the front three and you want to change it to in-​wall we can help with that as well.

Do you have speaker cabling wired throughout your house for stereo audio? If you are, you will find blank wall plates at each rooms entry. This would be a volume control and in the ceiling you should see stereo prewired

History

Established in 2010.

Locally owned and operated since 2010. We worked to become specialists in design, sales, and installation for home theater and AV systems. We set out to become a wealth of knowledge that home and business owners can tap into at anytime.

In 2011 we expanded our service area to include the growing cities of Horseshoe Bay, Dripping Springs, Driftwood and Bee Caves. New home construction in Southwest Austin, TX left many homeowners with prewired homes that needed professional advice on what to do next.

Many times these homes would have 3 – 6 rooms of stereo audio including a kitchen, patio, master bed & master bath, etc and they would have a living room downstairs wired for surround sound.

In 2013 we acquired some additional brands that we found to be popular in Austin including Monitor Audio, Martin Logan, Samsung, Sonos, Marantz and more.

Home theater and audio systems became part of my life in 2008 when I started learning the industry. I enjoyed the mix of construction and audio visual technology. All of the challenges that it presented for me to were motivating and learning something new everyday kept me interested.

It is always exciting to create a cutting edge home theater room these days but I still enjoy the opportunity to help out and educate with smaller projects like troubleshooting and HDTV mounting as well. I like to see these sort of projects done right. I don’t like thinking about some of the half finished projects that I have walked in on. It is in my nature to make things look and sound great!
