In one convenient visit, we measure your floor, show you samples, give you a price, and schedule the install if you decide to move forward.

Austin Floor & Window Coverings was started as a franchise with one of the most successful flooring companies — 92% success ratio after 5 years of all franchise owners. They mandated a 10 week training period which focuses on all aspects of the flooring business.

The model is simple — use the best products so you do not spend time with on warranty problems. Use the best installers and pay them a reasonable rate — expect their very best work on every job — hold them to a high standard.

Don’t spend a lot of money on advertising that does not work. Instead, build relationships with other companies who can repeatedly use your services — realtors, interior designers, home builders, general contractors, home stagers, mortgage brokers, title companies and others.

Use networking groups (other small businesses) to promote your business and help promote their businesses.

Make sure every customer is completely satisfied so they will tell others about your fantastic services.

After 35 years in the high tech industry, Ron wanted to do something he really loved instead of working at a job. Working on every home he has owned was a hobby he did to relax and unwind from the corporate world. That seemed like a perfect fit for his own business.

Ron did extensive research on all the ways to start a flooring company before settling on the franchise he chose. The high success ratio of companies buying into this franchise was key. The success was due to the amount of training you were required to have prior to «opening the doors» of a flooring business. Everything was taught in detail and executed along the way. Even down to roll playing the in home selling process and teaching what if senerios that deal with customers.
