In a «seashell» we specialize in raw oyster catering and have been doing oyster sunset cruises on Lake Austin. We attached a raw bar to the side of the boat which creates a very professional and fun service. I have created exotic infused mignonette sauces and also pair sauces on request. There are many ways to incorporate the finest East & West coast oysters for a unique culinary experience at any event. For large events, I have multiple shuckers mingle and shuck in the crowd or cocktail serve oysters. Please keep Aphrodite Oysters in mind for any special event, wedding parties, team-building, etc.

I fell in love with the rich and broad world of food when I was living in Thailand (exchange from McCombs School of Business). Thailand had been my first international trip and yes, I cannot get my fill of travel and tasting differing cultures. After graduation, I took an extended trip to Morocco and through Europe including living on a sailboat with Germans in Croatia where I would cook breakfast in return for their hospitality. While working in Costa Rica in 2009, a very well-known Dutch Chef took me under his wing and taught me fine french cuisine. He had been serving 4-course dinners at Oxygen Villas resort all by himself. I was his only assistant and we would ride four-wheelers down the mountain to select our produce and fish if available from the local fisherman everyday. Cutting down palms of heart was my favorite. Continuing south to Argentina, I worked small private events in B.A. My love for seafood and sustaining our waters led me to creating Aphrodite Oysters!
