Kurant Events

We were very happy to have Kurant Events cater our wedding! Carrie and Steven Konarik (the owners) are extremely professional and most importantly, their food is amazing! We were impressed by what they served us during the tasting and were excited to hire them. During menu planning, we were pleased with their flexibility and willingness to «get it right» for us. On our actual wedding day, it was terrible weather (thunderstorms and rain so bad our venue flooded where we originally planned dinner!) but the Kurant Events team handled the situation perfectly. Quality was not sacrificed — everything was plated beautifully and the customer service was top-​notch. Our guests loved the signature cocktails, appetizers, and dinner. I would highly recommend Kurant Events if you’re looking to work with an excellent team who served delicious food!

If I could give Carrie and the Kurant Events Team 10 stars I would. When I first began to plan our wedding one of my main concerns was finding quality wedding food. Carrie came to my rescue by helping me create a mouth watering menu that left all my guests raving about the meal. My husband and I are foodies and we are passionate about food and drinks so we wanted this passion reflected on our wedding day. Every aspect of the meal was delicious and Carrie and co. were so incredible to work with. They go above and beyond to accommodate all guests (including making sure the people with dietary needs are cared for) and anticipate the needs of the bride and groom. She even surprised my husband and I with Dirty Martinis during dinner that they made just for us as it is our favorite cocktail but we we weren’t able to rent martini glasses in addition to all the other glasses and plate ware so had decided not to serve them at our semi-​open bar reception. Carrie is calm and collected and will make sure everything runs smoothly. Even when her team is not at the helm of an event they still treat the event as their top priority and take ownership of it/​team up with the other vendors to ensure the event runs smoothly. Mouth-​watering food? Check! Amazing Customer Service? Check! Overall awesome experience that was better than I imagined? Check, check!

Kurant Events catered our wedding at Commodore Perry Estate this summer. We were looking for food and service that was very swanky to go the setting, and — WOW — Kurant was great. I’m a hobby chef, and Steve and Amy were awesome to work with; although I might not have been! :-) We developed a customized menu that showcased some great Texas foods (e.g., chile, venison, quail) that our guests are still raving about. They were very attentive during the run-​up to the wedding, and ran the food prep and service at the wedding itself in the most top-​notch way! I couldn’t give them enough stars on the Unilocal rating!

I just finished working with Kurant Events, and I am definitely pleased. They catered a 45 person dinner for me, and even though I sadly couldn’t attend, I’ve heard enough feedback from the party guests to safely say they rocked it. Hard.
Leading up to this party, Kurant Events was helpful, prompt, and flexible. They provided me with some sample menus that fit my budget, and after I tweaked the food selection a bit, we were ready to go. They provided a «heavy hors d’oeuvres» dinner plus tea, plus two waiters, a bartender, and set up/​clean up for a great price. They matched an estimate from another caterer that while reliable, has grown kinda stale and unimaginative. Kurant Events, on the other hand, served up an imaginative, fresh, and slightly edgy menu. They made us DELICIOUS gourmet food. Tired of the «teriyaki chicken skewers» route I had experienced so much from other (read: lesser) caterers, I was blown away at KE’s sample menus. I picked out seared ahi tuna rolled in sesame seeds and cumin salt, cherrywood smoked beef tenderloin on sweet potato biscuits with sage aioli, and Grand Marnier cheesecake diamonds. Homina homina homina. I just tried the little cakes, and they are all that. And a bag of chips. (sorry, had to.)
I also hear from my sources that the staff was incredibly helpful, sweet and attentive. They certainly were leading up to the event, so I’m not surprised. I do catering for a department at The University of Texas, and Kurant Events has just stolen my business. (and my heart.) I will definitely use them again.

I just attended my second party that Kurant Events catered. Delicious food. Their ginger sandwich cookies are one of the most perfect foods on earth — I really want that recipe. But everything I tasted was scrumptious. If I ever hold a catered party — they are the first I would call.

i’ve had the pleasure of working with kurant events for work functions. they are so pleasant and professional. and the food… oh my… the food has been so incredible. customers still come into the store and talk about the appetizers they had 6 months ago from a store party. always prepared for the unexpected… i would highly recommend they cater your next function!
