The service was the best I’ve had by far. AMM went above and beyond to help me get my Durango back up and running. I will definitely recommend friends and family to this location.

AMM surpassed all my expectations especially when Alex Vargas is your service technician.
If any one knows what ‘CUSTOMER SATISFACTION” it’s Alex.
I have followed this young man from Caliber Collision from my first auto accident. Every time he moved from other collision locations I moved and all of my vehicles have gone to him. He is humble and trustworthy and makes sure you’re getting 5 star service. He’s top notch and AMM is lucky to have him working for their establishment. Last accident I had was my Lexus and 2 days later when I went to pick it up it looked like they had rolled it off the showcase. If you want it done right the first time go to Alex, he’s the man.

i gave this 5 stars because this is the most I could give, but this is a 100 start PLUS. I took my truck to be serviced after being rear-​ended. The person who hit me didn’t have the best insurance, and did not follow up or follow through for that matter. Alex Vargas was a PRO. He called the insurance to ensure the truck would be fixed correctly and expeditiously. When I picked up my vehicle I was very satisfied with not only the quality of work that was done, but in which the professional manner that Alex handled my situation. If you are looking for a shop, take it here. Ask for Alex Vargas.

I just got my car back from AMM collision center. 100% satisfied. All was not smooth exactly but shop writer Loribeth Johnson kept both me and my son aware of the status of the car. Why it was taking longer than expected, when it would be done. I never had to call her. She left messages for me. When I did call her, she knew exactly who I was and what was going on with my car. IM DONE WITH SERVICE KING FOREVER.

Resolutions:
1. The coolant reservoir — AMM sent a mobile mechanic (Wayne McCarthy from Protech, highly recommend him by the way) to check out the reservoir, apparently it had been reinstalled in a hurry and the bottom connection was either not pushed in all the way or was not aligned correctly. Either way it is now installed correctly and have been told to keep an eye on it since it took 48 hours for the warning light to go off the first time; i.e. just in case the mis-​alignement messed up the reservoir permanently at which time a new one would have to be ordered and installed. So far so good, let’s hope we don’t have to go through the trouble.
2. The firewall between the engine and the cab — AMM again sent Wayne from Protech out and he changed it fairly quickly. Here’s the thing though, whomever screwed it up when either reinstalling the hood or reinstalling the firewall parts themselves if they had to take that apart to get to the left front fender blinker: that individual at fault knew very well they broke it. So for them to not say anything, hoping it would take too long for the customer to notice or too much time would pass for them to be held accountable etc. is just flat out wrong. From talking with George I would not think this a managerial decision as he seems nice enough.
Now all of that said I had emailed Zach on the evening of the 6^th at 7:27pm about this thinking he’d get back to me first thing on the morning of the 7^th. I then emailed him two more times about this on the morning of the 7^th: at 9:40am and again at 11:20am. It was not until I got frustrated and wrote up the original review here that George called me at 12:56pm that afternoon (the 7^th). When George called he said he saw this review and was floored, he then went to talk to Zach about it. So apparently there was no communication started on Zach’s end as for my issues he’d been emailed about until George saw the original review. Again Zach seems nice enough, I’m going to go out on a limb and just state that this is the business model for AMM considering the tech never said a word (supposedly) and no effort was made to contact me until after the review here.
Had I not had a full inspection, engine flush, trans flush and reset, brake flush, oil change etc. done the week prior at Dr. Beemer (the place AMM sends things to be fixed quite often as it turns out) to dropping my car off at AMM I’m uncertain, given some of the other reviews, if they would have even owned up to their mistakes. Thankfully I had a paper trail showing how the car was in tip top shape, sans some minor body work, prior to AMM taking my vehicle.
I’m still not thrilled about being able to see where the scratches were and a couple of dents still in the hood from the gravel and rock, but life’s not perfect so.

***Edit*** [George Pojas, the manager for the mechanic shop, has contacted me as to resolving this issue. He’s a nice enough guy, as is everyone I’ve dealt with at AMM however the faulty mechanic work is still quite disconcerting to say the least. I will update again once things have been taken care of.]

I was going to let the valve cap missing slide until taking the car out on the following day and the roundel flies off when on the Interstate (so that was obviously not reattached correctly after it was taken off for the «paint job»), and then of course there’s the front left fender side blinker not being attached correctly. The fact that it can still be seen where all the scratches were from the gravel and the couple of dents is another issue all together. My insurance company talked me out of going with the original company I had been referred to in lue of «USAA not being able to guarantee the warranty…» of a company not preferred by USAA. After searching Unilocal reviews AMM seemed comparable; as for average reviews. WRONG!
So I take the car back and get the roundel and blinker fixed, drove it for a day, didn’t drive the next and then the following day I’m out and my radiator coolant light goes off. Scratching my head, but alarmed I pulled over and purchased some and refilled the reservoir. Two days later same thing happens. So I search for the «leak.» Turns out the tech or «mechanic» did not correctly reattach the connection under the antifreeze/​coolant reservoir; about three threads loose — this does not happen on it’s on. My best guess is they were in a hurry however when combining all of the shoddy «workmanship» at AMM it makes them very fishy as for a credible business.
Then when getting under the hood to fix the coolant reservoir myself I discover a part of the firewall that runs between the hood and the front cab is broken! It’s a shame that I can not upload the video because it shows the firewall in much better detail than the photos.
I most certainly do not believe that they should be on USAA’s preferred list, let alone be in business.
Take your car ANYWHERE else!

I was backed into (directly from the front) downtown by a truck (I drive a 2010 VW Jetta Wagon) which caused severe enough damage to my car that my passenger side door was damaged. (The truck pushed me back so hard that everything got squished essentially)…including my dashboard. It made my side trim (interior) pop out. Long story short: I noticed it as I left the scene to drive straight to the shop. I made the technician aware immediately. I picked up my car when it was «completed.» Damage was still there. I was told calls would be made to figure it out. And that they would go look at other similar cars to see if they could figure out how to fix it and what it should look like. Other than Face timing (yes they Face timed another local technician) they never when to other shops or even VW themselves to speak to anyone. So I did. AFTER the manager at this location essentially accused me of making it up or implying I was stupid… his words: «You know sometimes people get in accidents — like front end damage — and then try and say their rear bumper has damage from the accident.» Well no kidding that doesn’t make sense, but I didn’t do that. No… the damage I was having trouble with was damage on my dashboard because I was backed into head on. Then the manager tried to say it was supposed to look that way. THEN he tried to say it was warped from Texas heat. Conclusion: I went to VW dealership — Charles Maund — who were fantastic and helpful — took one look at it and said yes, that is from the accident, no Texas heat couldn’t do that. VW fixed in about an hour — it had just popped out people and AMM couldn’t figure it out. AMM had to pay VW. At the end of the day, I was insulted because they tried to treat me like I was either lying or didn’t know my own vehicle. And they had to pay. But I had to go back and forth and go to another shop to actually get it fixed. I will never go back there. Don’t make me do your job and don’t insult me.

I hit a deer– my car looks great! The service SUCKS!
Short synopsis: I called over 4 times, and not once got a quote, or a status update. Never even spoke with someone who know the status of my car. After over a week I finally went blindly to pick up my car, and thank God it was ready or this review would have been a 1 start.
If I hadn’t been out of town, a rental car would have been extremely pricey, and I would have been even more dissatisfied since it took 5 days longer than the text message said to be completed.
Full story: I took my car in on a Thursday– the Geico agent in the AMM office, said he would get me a quote same day, or by Friday at noon. I never heard from him. I followed up Monday, left a voicemail… never heard back.
I got a text message Tuesday that my car would be ready by 5pm the next day (well thank god I was out of town because it wasnt!) I called Wednesday to check the status of the car, and left a message with the receptionist– I never heard back.
I called Friday, to see if my car would be ready by Monday morning. I finally spoke to the rep (Alex) who was handling my car– he told me he would call back before 5 pm same day to let me know if my car would be ready. I never heard back– they are closed Sat/​sun.
I called Mon morning– they told me they didn’t know if it was ready and Alex wasn’t in office yet.
I went anyways to pick it up– thankfully it was ready, spoke with receptionist, she took payment and handed me keys. Nobody checked with me to show me how the car looked or anything.
30 min after I picked up my car, Alex called and said «was I supposed to call you?»
I told him I had picked up my car and hung up.
When your car is in the shop– you should be updated on the status, and should be able to get in touch with someone working on it… or at least your call should be returned.
I am happy with the way my car looks, but extremely disappointed by the customer service provided.

I’m all about saving time. this place was really easy to coordinate with. Called them on a Thursday, dropped my car off the following Monday. I couldn’t believe when they told me that Wednesday it was done. Thanks LoriBeth and the crew at AMM!

AMM did a fantastic job fixing my car! Zach was able to get me an unbeatable price on my replacement windshield, it was installed in a very timely manner! I also had other repairs. All parts were in their possession in a week, and all repairs completed in less than 12 hours! Great job! (If only they had a bell for me to ring for great service!)

They have repaired my car twice. The work has been excellent and the service is great. The adjuster even offered to give me a hug when he saw I was having a less than great day.

We went to AMM after getting quotes from two other companies. We had about three separate issues.
Part 1: Daniel helped us get a quote on our Honda Element after someone ran into our back bumper. He was very prompt in getting us the quote and the insurance sent me a check immediately. We have not yet gotten the work done because we have been waiting to get our other car out of the shop first. Thank you Daniel.
Part 2: We saw Alex for our Xterra. There was hail damage which was pretty straightforward– A lot of tiny dents with the insurance paying for it minus our $ 500 deductible.
Part 3: The third part was a bit trickier. While we had our car in for hail repair, we wanted to get some other lingering body work on several areas of the car– a small dent on front door, a crinkled dog ear on the corner of another door, a dent on back gate, as well as a repainting of the hood.
We felt a little bit overwhelmed because we’ve never had body work done and it seemed like a lot to process. Alex gave us what I felt like was a fair quote so we felt comfortable moving forward with it all.
There ended up being additional work that needed to be done when one of the repairs was more extensive than what was on the original estimate, but we were only charged a small fraction of the cost because Alex tried to keep it in line with his original estimate.
After the work was done, there were a few little things that still needed to be tweaked, (e.g. a door adjustment, a window adjustment, and a broken fuel door), but Alex was good-​natured about the whole thing and delivered a final product that was worth the ~$ 1,700 (500 + 1,200) we had to pay out of pocket.
Summary: The final product was great and worth the wait!

One of my co workers backed up into my car in our staff parking lot, and after speaking to the insurance company they recommended taking my car to AMM Collision Center off of Manchaca. I am so glad that this place was recommended. They took care of me extremely fast and efficiently! I was in and out in no time! Also, my car rental was already waiting for me when I got there! The work they did on my car was amazing, and as an added bonus, they cleaned out my car so nicely before returning it to me! I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to have their car repaired. Great service, and super fast turn around! Thank you so much AMM!

The folks at AMM Collision Center were great. What was supposed to be a 3^rd-​party payment had to be changed after the work was done to a payment by the 3^rd-party’s insurance. While this was more of a hassle for AMM than myself, they remained extremely helpful throughout the entire process. What stood out the most was the fact that they were calling me and keeping me in the loop instead of me having to ask for a status. I was also pleasantly surprised when the mailed me a hard-​copy of a repair warranty for my records. Lastly, the repair job looks great.

After our family car was struck by a buck coming home from Fourth of July weekend we turned to AMM. Not only were they a preferred business by USAA but the reviews in Unilocal were positive.
When I arrived Mark was there with paperwork ready a smile on his face and a very courteous upbeat attitude. I was given updates via text and email as repairs were being made. They even finished ahead of schedule.
When I picked up my Camry I was again met with courtesy from the team I. The office. After driving it home for the weekend I noticed a couple things that needed some tweaking. I called Mark up and he was not put off by my request to have the car reevaluated. He walked around with me reviewing the slight issues with the car. He answered questions politely and assured me that they would have done as soon as they possibly could.
Over all the entire team that I interacted with were great. They were able to work with me on payments for the repairs. Not once did I have any concerns about the team handling my car. Plus their work is back by their warranty!

First tried to give me my car back still obviously messed up. Then after I said something spent an hour waiting on them to try to bend somethin back into place (I was dropped off and had to wait). The edges did not match at all between new door and new fender. Then when he brought it back to me bc it was «now ready» the door wouldn’t work right and the new paint job had been scratched. At that point he said he would jus take me home in the car and being the car back to me later that evening (FRIDAY). Not only did I not hear from him FRIDAY, but I had to contact him Monday and it still wasn’t ready. Tuesday he did have a free rental delivered to me. Thursday I finally received my car back. It looked good but the window still has a heavy click when rolled down and then all the way up.
Never again.

AMM is hands down the best auto shop I’ve ever take any car I’ve owned to. With the knowledgable staff all the to the mechanics. Jarod my Geico representative was 100% on the ball through every step of the process. Alex the lead mechanic working on my car, was down to earth and super personable. My car was fixed in a reasonable amount of time and it looks better than when I took it in! I will definitely be going back to AMM when the time comes.

I chose the shop because on a prior repair to a different automobile the quality of the work was excellent. The difference 2 years later is night and day. I think this is a business that probably grew a little fast and lacks the proper management to sustain multiple locations and customer satisfaction. From my first visit in I felt there was a rush to get my car out of the way and on to something else.
Car was presented to me TWICE supposedly done and BOTH times had extremely poor quality workmanship very easily seen. The first time it was also discovered that unauthorized aftermarket parts had been used requiring a good bit of work to be redone. After the THIRD time an area representative of GEICO got involved and two more times the shop SUPPOSEDLY had completed the work and each time it was found to be defective by the insurance company. I took time out of my day 4 times and lost over 6 hours as a result.
I truly believe they KNOWINGLY made a decision to use aftermarket parts that were supposed to be OEM as specified by my insurance agency when I went over the claim before work was started. I also believe they KNEW the workmanship to be substandard and still tried to get the car off their books and paid hoping it would not be noticed. Communication was horrible and I honestly felt I was being belittles for the problems I was bringing forward. Then the process was repeated with a regional rep of GEICO after which I I decided they simply no longer cared about customer satisfaction. I live off of referrals. I could never refer this company caring about my own reputation.
I expected SOME gesture after it was all done and over with. After a repair that should have taken to 1 days had stretched into 6 weeks and I had arranged time from work to go pick up my car on 4 separate occasions I felt I would surely hear something from management and see some gesture on their part to acknowledge the additional time and frustration injected into my life as a result of their workmanship. Never a word.
For those of you raving about your experience… Did you check the parts used? Were they inferior after market parts when you paid for Original Equipment from the Manufacturer?

Wow this place was one of my greatest customer service experiences ever.
Getting hit sucks, especially when its your new car with less than 3k miles on it. However the process of getting my car fixed through AMM was as painless as it could possibly be. I dropped of my car, got a rental, showed them where the damage was, and was on my merry way in less than 5 minutes. Literally. Even less when I was picking it up. Totally worth the drive down there to make sure it was in the right hands.

I am COMPLETELY IMPRESSED with the overall satisfaction, professionalism, communication and quickness of AMM Collision Center! These guys are top of everything and as soon as you walk in the door, they want to make sure you have been helped and that all your questions have been answered.
I had got into a wreck at the end of February and had to wait a few weeks until I could get my SUV fixed. Well I had reserved a car through Enterprise, since they had a weekend special going. I thought I was going to have to go to the other Enterprise location to pick up the car I reserved it at, but since AMM already have some Enterprise cars on their lot, they said it’d be no problem to put me in a car and have me on my way, without having to go to the original Enterprise location I reserved a car at. That was a HUGE PLUS!
Not only that! I dropped it off Friday and as soon as I was leaving, I saw the collision team at work on my car already! My car was ready by 3pm on Tuesday and I even asked them to throw in an oil change and it was no problem!
My car was like BRAND NEW! Washed, waxed, vacuumed. I mean my SUV didn’t look this good when I bought it 3 years ago! Haha.
If you want your car to be treated with extremely professional experience in mechanic, body and paint, then look no further! AMM Collision Center surpasses ALL other body shops!
Also, I forgot to mention that my insurance is Geico and AMM is an Auto Repair Xpress for them. So Kudos to everyone at AMM and my Geico adjuster too! You all made what I thought was going to be a painful situation into a painless one! I can’t thank you enough!!!

We took a road trip to Austin this past weekend from Phoenix. Everything was going great until we stopped in Sonora, TX for some supper. Out of nowhere a small deer ran into my passenger side headlight and caused some pretty ugly damage. We decided that the damage was not enough to have the car towed, so the next morning I drove it into the Austin area for an estimate and begin repairs.
Since we were are from out of town, I didn’t have the luxury of having my car fully fixed (a week and half estimated time) so the VERY helpful attendants at AMM suggested they do a temporary fix (replace the headlight, straighten the sheet metal) so that I could drive the car legally back to Phoenix for full repairs.
They were so nice, and super speedy! I was worried they’d have the car all weekend, and while I got a rental from Enterprise (right on-​site, which is super convenient), I don’t have rental coverage on my insurance policy, so I was paying out of pocket for that expense. They completed the temporary fix THAT SAME DAY! I was so impressed and relieved! I only had to pay for one day for the rental, which saved my poor pocketbook and I had my car back with an in-​tact headlight.
I will definitely recommend AMM Collision to anyone in the Austin area. You guys rock!
