Established in 1990.

Once a mobile service for 10 years, we acquired a store location in May, 2000. We have both service and sales inside the store, as well as a mobile service outside. We have been rated one of the nicest, cleanest lockshops in the state of Texas by one of our distributor salesmen who sees them all!

This place is AWESOME! Went by there this morning to get a chip key and remote fob replacement for a Nissan Murano. They got it done in 15 minutes and charged way less than the stealerships and even less than some other locksmiths quoted me. And the key/​fob was factory from Nissan with the Nissan logo on the fob. I was expecting an after market generic fob. These guys are completely up on the technology of how to program your car and hook cables and computers up to your vehicle to work their magic. Fast, professional and reasonably priced. You really can’t ask for more. I also love the old school locksmith shop that is very well organized, clean and professional. Can’t say enough good things about Alpha Lock & Key! Added bonus is that they are family run. Shop local!

I would give them 10 stars if I could. I realized right before they closed, that I had misplaced my car keys. That wouldn’t be a big deal if my car wasn’t 2200 miles away. To make a long story short, they saved me a lot of money and hassle and Marvin is just as nice as a person could be.
My boyfriend has used this shop for years and has nothing but good things to say about them.
Support your local businesses Austin. You won’t get service like that from the big box stores.

I needed to have my truck rekeyed and called the dealer. I then called Alpha Lock & Key and they save me hundreds — seriously. They fit me in the very next day and knocked out my entire vehicle. I couldn’t be happier. This family owned, father/​son team worked hard to get my truck rekeyed right away and at a price that was hard to beat. I couldn’t be happier with the result. Definitely recommend them.

This was the first time I went to this business, on strength of reviews here. And the reviews are absolutely correct. Friendly, local family business. Introduced my to the mysteries of transponder keys. They cut 3, and were kind enough to go out to my car and program them into the computer. All 3 transponder keys, plus a door-​only key, plus a hide a key, and walked out for $ 50. And a big satisfied smile. This place is worth a drive!

Just had a new key cut and programmed for my CR-​V and they not only beat everybody else prices by about $ 50.00 bucks, but also had the key in stock and were kind enough to explain the process of the programming. Joe was a pleasure to deal with and I would recommend his work to everyone. I drove from Driftwood, Tx to this location about (about 30 miles) because of the grand reviews I had heard from my girlfriend and her friends that had previously dealt with this business. Well worth the trip and time. A+++++ from me.
