The entire experience from booking to the last box everyone was nice and provided great customer service and quality work! Prices are very reasonable.

The original movers we had scheduled didn’t show so we were frantic to find last minute movers… and I’m so glad we found AB Moving! Jim and his crew took on their 3^rd move of the day to get us into our new house and they did a great job. Moving is hard work and we appreciate the professionalism and late night they put in for us!

I used AB Moving for our recent move to our new house as they came recommended from the previous home owners who used them to move out.
From the time I gave them a call to request a quote to the time guys came over for the move, I was impressed with their professionalism and service quality.
They did a great job wrapping all my furniture and stuff with blankets and cling wrap before loading them very carefully in the truck. They were even very nice about helping us move a lot of stuff that wasn’t packed in boxes. Extremely flexible and friendly crew.
When I moved 2 ½ years ago I had used another moving company and they were an absolute nightmare! They took 8 hours to move packed goods from a warehouse to my house whereas these guys took a total of just 6 ½ hours to pack, move, and unpack!
AB Movers are true professionals and I truly recommend them!

Used AB Moving in our recent move to our new house. We were very impressed with their attention to detail (ie wrapping all furniture thoroughly, padding fragile items, etc). Even with their thoroughness they were very efficient in getting the items on and off the truck. I would highly recommend them.

Today, Jim and his Austin crew came to our home in Dallas, loaded our pre-​packed furniture and belongings, drove them to Austin, delivered and placed them in our new home, and were finished before 5:30 pm. No scratches or damage that we are aware of.
Everyone was very courteous and professional. The price for outstanding service was very reasonable.
We would recommend Jim and his crew to anyone moving to Austin or within Austin without hesitation.

My mother is 95 years old very particular, and had a lot of fine art to pack. Cruz and the crew did the best job I ever saw of packing her fine art. I pulled a few delicate pieces to wrap myself, and they patiently helped me strip paper to wrap around every little leg and horn. When I move, I want Cruz to be there! Couldn’t have been better!

I got the crew from down under. They scratched my furniture, didn’t load everything… I even tried to speak to them in Spanish! Trying to talk in English I got a blank stare so I figured oh Spanish? No. Then they drove 20 mph on a 50 mph hwy lane to add time. OH MY GAWD IT TOOK 40 MINUTES FOR A TEN MINUTE DISTANCE. Very unprofessional, rude and just no. Never again. NEVER. I got a terrible crew but maybe they do have better guys with better ethics.

I was moving to a new house where the address did not show up on GPS. I went over the address with them 3 times. There were 3 men and none of them spoke English well enough for me to give them directions. They ended up getting lost and had to call me twice. I ended up going to them and leading them back to my place. Then, at the end of the day, they charged me for the hour they were lost. I told the man I did not think that was right but he either didn’t understand me or pretended to not understand me. I would not use them again.

I was contacted by Christy Vincent of AB Moving regarding the above review. After she looked into my complaint I was refunded the money that I should not have had to pay. Because of her excellent customer service, I am very happy with the resolution of my claim. Thank you, Christy. I will tell my friends and family of AB Moving.

They helped me move in May, they were wonderful and very helpful. I had to switch the moving days and times with them short notice two different times (because of my apartments…) and they were able to change without a problem.
Moving was super easy with them. We just moved about 5 miles away and they were quick and got all of my items delivered safe.
I recommend them for sure, they were reasonably priced for a great service!

Worst moving experience ever! Do NOT use this company. They brought the wrong size truck to begin with. This was after I had spoken to them several times prior to the move with a detailed list of everything we needed to be moved. They then expected us to pay for a second truck the day of the move. To make matters worse a very expensive watch was stolen out of my jewelry box the day of the move. The owner of the company and several other people I spoke to you kept denying it of course. They refused to reimburse us for anything. Worst customer service.

June 2015.
This is the second time I’ve used AB Moving. The first time was okay. This second time was unacceptable.
The scheduling and quoting process actually went very smoothly. The guys showed up at 8:20 (on time for my 7:30 — 9:30 window). They were very efficient, but perhaps TOO efficient… looking back on things.
When I watched them unpack, I started to notice their tendency to stack things on top of other things that couldn’t bear the weight. Like when the grocery store bagger puts the bananas under the milk. Not cool, man.
It’s now been a week, and during my unpacking, I’ve discovered:
1. a drawer on my entertainment center doesn’t close
2. they crushed my pedestal fan — cage is bent, clips are broken, and it won’t run without making a godawful noise now
3. they used a quilt as a moving blanket — wrapped my coffee table in it, but then failed to cover the quilt, so it’s stained with grease and dirt.
4. My TV inputs were damaged. Whether this had to do with the jostling in the truck or something improperly packed that added extra pressure on the hardware, I don’t know. But now I have to make sure the power cord is positioned juuuuuuust right or else my TV won’t turn on.
Yes, they are cheap. And, if you don’t have any belongings you really care about, their services will probably be sufficient. My advice: keep AB moving away from anything that’s irreplaceable or expensive.
*I have submitted claims for the damaged items with the subrogation firm, but it’s not a simple process, and I don’t have high expectations regarding fair compensation.
8÷5÷15: UPDATE** CSI, the company that handles claims, has been incredibly difficult to work with. It took me about 10 tries to submit my forms in a way that the system ‘accepted’ them. Then, I had to wait weeks while they assessed the claim. I finally got my settlement: $ 12. Yes, you heard that right. They denied the entertainment center request because ‘it can be fixed with tools.’ How do they know? Also, so can lots of things. But, the point is: it was broken during the move. And they are claiming no responsibility. As for the TV, they denied this as well claiming that ‘anything electronic can break down over time and we cannot be held responsible for electrical failures or damage.’ Ummmmm… It was working fine for the 8 years prior to this move, and now it’s funky. Conclusion: Y’all broke it.
So, because of this, I cannot, in good faith, recommend AB Moving due to the fact that my stuff was damaged and I was not compensated satisfactorily via the claims company that ABMoving uses.

This was worst moving ever, one bedroom apt to a house, 5 hours loading and unloading. nothing was taken apart, I had to do it my self and when he tried to dis assemble a desk, only quarter turn screw he was turning it using power screwdriver. I said I will do it. That was fine, but for unloading, no wrap was taken off any furniture, not even bed was put it together. I just put bed together and removing wraps and I was getting frustrated and writing a review. For $ 650 one bedroom move, it was the worst. Again, Non of the wrap was removed on any of the furniture!!! And just left it everywhere, even heavy dresser I had to put it together and move it myself!!!

I am extremely impressed with the service I got and couldn’t have asked for anything more.
First of all, their prices are reasonable. For the time and labor they put in for us, I feel I got an incredible deal for what we paid. Communication was great the day before and day of and they arrived on time. They worked very quickly and were respectful with our belongings. Nothing was damaged. If they saw me trying to lift something both during loading and unloading, they’d rush over to get it for me. They made sure everything was put in the right location to make unpacking easier for us, and they were all around good people we enjoyed working with.

I called at least 10 moving companies, and these guys gave me the best quote. I was moving from Austin to San Antonio. Some highly rated movers on Unilocal were giving me quotes from $ 650-​$ 900 for a one bedroom apartment with minimal furniture. Most companies charge an insane amount for travel around $ 400. These guys charge by the hour which includes travel, They only took $ 75 for gas and travel. They offered me a discount if I was flexible with my move date. 3 men showed up were able to load everything into the truck in 1 hour, and my total came to $ 376. It was cheaper than me renting a UHaul,
These guys are great, if you don’t have expensive furniture and just want to move from Point A to Point B at a low cost.

These guys are fantastic. I’ve used them three times. Fair pricing, careful movers. Never had such a good moving experience. Charged by the hour but worked very quickly.

I had a great experience with AB Moving. Dispatch (Kyle) was very thorough with me regarding the process, rates and coordinating a time, not to mention very professional and polite. The crew showed up exactly at the scheduled time; disassembled and wrapped all of my furniture correctly, moved it down a flight a stairs and up three flights of stairs. They reassembled my furniture correctly and there was not a scratch or ding. Juan and his crew were great. I would use AB Moving again!

This is a review for service on June 2012. This was the worst moving company I have ever used; I’d left a review on Angie’s List and was just angered anew after coming across photos I took to document the terrible work. Because there are recent reviews consistent with our service I wanted to include our experience.
We hired them to pack and load and move our belongings from a rental house to two storage containers on land we’d bought and were building on.
We had one POD at the rental house, and to move it we had to empty it — they did not even fully empty the storage container… not like there were hidden closets to overlook. And they were irritated when I happened to see the not-​empty container and had them come finish it.
They did not fully pack the house — packed half of the pantry and left the other half. They put things loose in boxes — and things that did not go together well, such as a half dozen bottles of kitchen cleaners — mostly upside down — in with counter compost bin and lightbulbs None wrapped or taped closed.
We have one of those shelving units with tool bins — four shelves with open-​top bins of various sizes. They just shrink-​wrapped it with the bins in there. They packed a few bins, and then just apparently said «screw it» and shrink wrapped the rest. With the tops open.
They brought a small truck pulling a trailer, so they had to make several trips back and forth from our property in Volente to Driftwood — that is 30 miles each way.
When they stacked the boxes into the storage container, they stacked large boxes on top of small book boxes which were on top of large boxes, so things tipped and fell, and boxes were dented open.

Cheap, hard working, fast, reliable!!!
AB Moving did a great job for me! Other companies quoted me almost $ 2,000 for a move across town into my new home and these guys did it for a fraction of what the other companies quoted me. Chris and his crew were great to work with. I’ll definitely be using them on my next move. I suggest you do the same!

I noticed several plastic containers and boxes didn’t get off the truck or they just decided to keep them.
I have to move again and I am not using them again. Spend the extra money and get a company with better reviews.
