How many times does a tenant have to contact management about their error before it’s addressed? A lot I guess.

I’ve lived here for a month and seriously regret it. Old, neglected run down and full of messy kids.
NO ONE cleans up after their pets, no one. Not even the apartment center. They don’t clean the grounds! No landscaping crew, nope. Maintenance guy, he’s worthless or too busy picking up beer cans…
If a shit, trash & bug infested apartment center is what your looking for in a great location, then look no further.
Another great perk, there isn’t trash pick up service, yet everyone seems to believe their is. So start your morning off right with trash, shit and bugs! Oh and not to mention they have sap trees everywhere that get all over you car.

I have lived at Uptown Bulkhead since Sept. 2014. For the first 5 – 6 months, I actually was pleasantly surprised with how good it was, good price, good service, etc. But then the property was bought by a new owner who changed management companies, this is where things have really taken a turn for the worse. Since the new management has taken over, I have encountered issues nearly every week. My AC has broken on average every 12 days over the past 2 months, and multiple times it has taken them 1.5−2.5 days to fix. So just imagine being in an 80 degree apartment in the heat of summer in Atlanta… it’s absolutely miserable! I have even had to get a hotel room because I couldn’t stand another night in an 80 degree apartment dripping in sweat with my dog panting. So I had to find a hotel room that I could bring a dog to, and pay to stay there despite paying for an apartment to live in. Despite emails, phone-​calls, and maintenance requests with extreme urgency, this issue still continues to go on. It hasn’t even been acknowledged by management, let alone an apology or any attempt to make up for my additional expense or inconvenience.
There has also been an increasingly high amount of insects & pests both around and inside the apartments. There are spiders and spiderwebs covering the hallways, stairs, patios, and all around the complex.
Additionally, we have recently been getting a lot of solicitors coming around knocking on doors trying to sell stuff. This just started about a month and a half ago, but is also very annoying. I don’t want to rent an apartment and have to deal with people knocking on my door every week trying to sell me things or talk to me about religion. On top of that, it just also isn’t safe to have so many people walking around the complex knocking on doors, considering you don’t know who the maintenance people are or the management staff that could be knocking for a reason.
The maintenance staff & even the number you call to contact the management company isn’t even people that work here. It’s some general number that asks you your complete address like they have no clue where you even live.
The office used to be open on Sundays and late on Saturdays. Now they are open during business hours (which helps no one that has a job — especially because traffic around here is HORRIBLE) and they are open 10−5pm on Saturday, and closed Sunday. Though if you try to go by the office at 4:55pm on Saturday, you’re out of luck because they’re probably gone and locked up. So if you have any issues on a weekend, you basically just have to deal with it until they get around to it, which you have no idea of when it will be.
The parking is ALWAYS terrible here, and residents often have a tough time even finding a spot anywhere close to your apartment. There are also often moving trucks or other cars blocking in entire sections of the parking lot, so you may have to wait 10 – 15 minutes just trying to pull out of your parking spot. The maintenance person has even parked blocking in cars. I watched someone sit and honk their horn waiting to try to be able to even pull out of their parking spot for 5 minutes only to have a maintenance person come up to move the car. It really is mind-​blowing.
I would never recommend this place to anyone, which is sad because I moved here based on someone else’s good experience and I had a good experience for the first 5 – 6 months. I can NOT wait until my lease is up so I can leave this place.

This apartment complex is «OK» ant most. When I moved in with my colleague almost a year ago the staff made it seem like it was the best place you could stay on a budget in Buckhead. The claimed that they were giving us a deal on our rent, $ 850 for an 850 sq ft apartment without the trash or (water included (which is allocated btw)). Well that was all fine and dandy and don’t get me wrong the neighbor hood is nice but when we moved in the staff turned to come rely different people durning the summer (which is when we moved in) all the staff does is smoke and drink and hang out at the pool with the residents that they are all buddy buddy with. They became extremely unprofessional. But there’s more, on top of barely having a parking space on the weekends after a long day of work because of people who go to tavern that is literally right beside the complex, they family above us stomped around as if they were herd of elephants. Then the tub began to leak. Granted they did have it fixed after about 2 days but then it looked as if the faucet had been pushed in and permanently twisted sideways. Next came the door, the complex is not gated and anyone can just drive right in and up to your residence so safety is my biggest concern. The lock on the door looked as if it had been kicked in so I had them put a new shield on, it worked for a while then I got locked in my house for about 20 minutes before I learned how to get the door to lock and unlock just so. At least I don’t have to worry about anyone breaking it because they will get pissed off and just go to the next house trying to open my door lol but back to the matter at hand it had been that way for a few months and the guy is fixing it now as I type this. He’s pretty nice btw. Next on the list is the window, idk maybe it was always broken but after opening it twice (when we first moved in) it literally came off the hinges which did a number on my electric this winter and it was just fixed today. Finally the washer and carpet situation, now they claim to have cleaned the apartment before we moved in but I beg to differ, anywho do not… I repeat DO NOT soak anything in the washer. I did so and it clogged it so the repairman came out to fix it, and between the complex and Lenox mall (5 minute drive) my apartment was flooded! All the while my roommate and i had just rescued a week old kitten (who luckily did not get caught in the mist of the flood) And the apartment under is got flooded as well. That took about two weeks to dry the carpet alone. Lastly, when we signed the lease to reside at Uptown Buckhead we signed for one year at the fixed monthly rate of $ 865 with trash included, in August of 2011 we received a letter asking to renue our agreement, mind you we moved in at the very end of April of 2011… 6months? We signed for a year and everyone at the front office knew so because they know everyone y name yet in still they acted as if they did not know what i was talking about when i brought it up at the resigning of the lease and they raised our rent to $ 900 smh.
