Shucks. I’ve been going here for pedicures for a while just because its convenient and their pedicures are high quality. Staff are always cool and aloof, which I just ignored. But today, a staff member asked me to move out of the drying chair in the rudest way possible. Don’t feel like putting up with that, so I’ll go back to the Lexington salons. Too bad.

It’s really about the no-wait, no reservation, inexpensive wash-and-blow-dry in the same place as your nail salon luxury.

I don’t really like to go anywhere else for pedicures. Tina is so thorough and takes her time to turn my overworked runners feet into lovely, soft princess feet! She is the best!

Been there before for hair cut and had ok service. Made an appointment today an when I arrived was told I would have to wait an hour. Asked about the appointment time and they just shrugged. Left and went down the street. Told them they lost a customer the woman working the desk said«I don’t care». Based on the reviews here I’m guessing they don’t care about much. GOSOMEWHEREELSE. ANYWHEREELSE!

The good — I have a really nice looking pedicure that a few days in is still looking fresh. The bad — the massage chairs didn’t work well, there was a huge communication gap and there was about 3 mins of massage. The total $ 30 pedicure was about 35 mins long with a lot of soaking time. I went to a different place, which I will review next that was much better. Still have yet to find the best place around, but I won’t be going back here.

Great value and service! Got an toe nail polish change(practically a full pedicure) and a blow out for $ 33. Tina did an amazing job with my hair, stick-straight and shiny with the perfect flip under at the bottom. The salon is bright and clean. I will definitely go back!

Get a mani/pedi! It’s 40 $ for both and 30 $ for a pedi only. I get my usual mani/pedi from Novia. She is takes her time and is very precise. When Novia is out of town I’ve also used Lee and Anne and liked them both as well. Love this place.

I regularly get manicures and pedicures(more often pedicures) here, and can only speak to that service. They do a nice job, have nice facilities and recently got really fancy new pedicure chairs! The cost of a mani and or pedi is on par with most of the local salons. You can find cheaper with the occasional deals other establishments offer, but I’ve always had consistently good services here, and cannot say the same for other salons.

I’ve gone here a couple of times now for nail services. They’ve been great — and price is on par with other places. The staff are pretty friendly, and I got great hand massages during my mani,(which some people skip!) as well as nice strong leg massages during my pedis. Unfortunately, my second experience was very tainted by one of the women there who talks VERY loudly, to the point of yelling, and doesn’t stop. I’m laying back trying to relax and enjoy the experience, which I don’t get to splurge on very often, and this woman is *screaming* in Asian the entire time. At one point I heard the word«Comcast», so apparently she was ranting about her cable. I hoped desperately that she would stop, but then the other women would chime in and keep her going! I was there for 3 hours getting both things done, and she finally left 2.5 hours later and it was quiet. By then, not only was I frazzled and disappointed, but kind of angry as well. I spent a decent amount of money in there, and came in hoping for a relaxing afternoon, but it was awful. I couldn’t enjoy myself at all. I’d like to go back but this woman is in there frequently, and I don’t want to have to be like«Can you tell her to quiet down?» So I’m not sure I will return, even though I enjoyed the services. If any of you WISH people are reading this, that woman needs to go! Or at least be respectful of the clients paying for services and not shriek for hours on end…

I love me some Wish. All the girls are super friendly and the prices are just right. I see Andrea for my hair and all the nail techs are equally as good so I don’t have a specific person that I see.

I can go ahead and write this, because I’m not likely to return. I went in here with the longest, strongest fingernails I’ve ever had and came out with very short, rather uneven, overly square nails. Well, actually, I didn’t leave the salon like that, I asked them to round my nails off and they did and they were kinda bitchy about it. Fine job on my toes(except they didn’t have my color green) and my cuticles, but no better than average. I liked looking out the big windows from the pedicure chairs, and the price was right. But I’ll be looking elsewhere next time around.

Was in the market for a new salon after my long-time stylist left the place I had been going. I got a few bad cuts along the way and finally tried Wish just because it is so close to home. Andrea is terrific and cuts my very short hair in a great way and the price is super reasonable. Haven’t tried any other services yet but I hope I can stick with Wish for a while since it is so hard to find good stylists.

I am not one for getting pampered, ever, but I HAD to get a manicure after I got engaged last weekend. My nails were a horrible mess and embarrassing so I decided to get the gel manicure. I was a walk-in and didn’t have to wait at all(it was a Saturday morning around 11am). I had Joanne or Joanna(I can’t remember her name). She was SO nice and very friendly and chatty. I would definitely recommend going to see her, she knows what she’s doing. It was a little pricier than a regular manicure, but definitely worth it, especially if you want it to last more than a week!

I could really use a WISH right now. I’ve been going to the owner’s salons since I was 9 years old. When she finally opened her own salon, several years back, of course I followed her to Wish. I come here for top-notch manicures and pedicures. The waxing is good but too expensive for my blood, and I’ve never tried the hair services. I don’t generally like to mix my needs — I have a waxing place, a nail place and a hair place. OCD? Maybe, but it works for me. Wish is for nails. For warm, lotiony, shiny nails.

When Wish first opened, I was so happy to go there for a good wash and blow dry. The last time I went I had an unpleasant experience. I was getting my hair colored and called the salon prior to my appointment and asked if they charge extra if they use more color. She said no several times. When I was getting my hair colored, I found out that they do charge for extra color and not only that, you have to get a blow dry and pay extra, compared to other salons that let you sit under the dryer which means you don’t pay extra. On top of this, one of the workers there kept accusing me of getting my hair cut and tried to charge me for it, when in fact it wasn’t true. By the time I was done, I could have gone to a better place, been treated nicer and paid less. Be cautious!

I’m starting with so-so too. I just moved to the area and was spoiled by a wonderful nail tech at my old place. I got a full set of artificial nails at Wish. They were OK, but not great. The receptionist really wasn’t that friendly. The nail tech was nice and thorough, but I don’t like that they use the machines to file your nails — it’s too easy to do real damage to your nailbed that way. I’m going to look for somewhere else that does hand filing. I also took a look around at the materials they use and sanitation — again OK, but not great.(My mother was a cosmetologist, so I learned what to look for from her). They use generic labeled bottles for supplies — which often means that they use the cheapest materials. I also didn’t see any containers of sanitizing solution out for them to be soaking their instruments in. I don’t know the laws in MA yet, but that was definitely a violation in OH. Although the location is convenient, I’ll try several other places before trying this salon again.

Wish is my favorite salon in Arlington. The staff are all really friendly, and more often then not, they can accomodate you if you walk-in. The pedicures here are the best around, but I can do without the really rough salt they use on your legs! My pedicures last about 8 weeks, which is a great!

I’m with Robyn on this one. I went there several times for my hair and nails. My nails were fine, but I was never really satisfied with my hair. I get partial foils and I always get really bored waiting for the process to be done. At the end of all that, the stylist asked me each time, «So, did you want me to cut it or something, too?» OFCOURSE! So I had a few uninspired cuts and each time left feeling a little less thrilled. I’d only go there for nails — not hair.

Considering I could practically roll out of bed and wake up on this place’s doorstep, it was just a matter of time before I tried it out even though I’ve had absolutely no reason to switch salons. I like the broad range of services — including hair, nails, facials and waxing — I like the way they decorated and I really like the owner. She’s a riot! But I’m just not sold on this place yet. My highlights didn’t compliment my hair as well as I would have liked, and my cuticles were cut a bit too low. I’m sure I’ll give it another shot, but my review is just so-so for now.
