When I lived in the attached apartment building this was a great store to get those emergency supplies. The prices are high but you’re paying for the convenience of not having to go outside when it 20 degrees.

It has what you expect from a typical«convenience store», but it really is convenient seeing as how it’s attached to my apartment building. They aren’t open 24⁄7 like the 7 – 11 by the metro, but it’s great if I need to run down from my apartment while still wearing slippers. The problem here, however, is the prices. Very high. Probably about 20% higher than at a grocery store and 10% than 7 – 11. You really pay for that convenience. There is also a $ 6 credit card minimum, which is stupid for a store that is designed for grabbing a small item or two.

This is place is right down the block from my house, has wine, beer,(pretty decent selection of both) crackers, ice cream, and any other little munchable you might want. The owners are friendly and always scrape the price tag off your wine with a razor which is a nice touch. There is a movie rental store next door too so you can get everything you need for a chill night at home in one place. It gets 4 stars instead of 5 because it doesn’t stay open all night.
