I have to agree with the other reviewer. John has done work for us before and he is knowledgeable and good. However, we had him lined up for a job, and when I emailed him to confirm 2 days before our start time, I all of a sudden learned that he is out of commission and can’t start for another month. Not sure if or when he intended to let me know. I told him politely we’d find someone else. Got a less than polite email in response about how he had given us the estimate a year ago (true – we got the estimate and told him up front that we wouldn’t be able to start for a while, but it was more like 6 months ago), how small the job was, (well – yes, but he certainly knew that when he gave us the estimate, and really, it wasn’t that small.) Anyway – who wants to work with a contractor who sneers at your job and will certainly throw it over immediately if he gets something more worthy of his time? And who needs that attitude around the house?

This contractor is extremely unprofessional and rude. I e-​mailed him about a small job I had, and instead of courteously saying «sorry, I don’t do jobs that small» he proceeded to berate me in an e-​mail. You would think that any interest in your business is good, but apparently not to this jerk.
Rest assured I would never use him for any larger projects that I have in the future, and if his email is any indication of how he treats people I recommend you avoid him as well.
