Tailchasers

I had a fairly high maintenance English Springer Spaniel, Rocco, who passed last year. Randa’s help saved us from sending Rocco to a shelter during those first two years!
When we got our Pomapoo last December, Tailchasers was one of the first calls I made to arrange for the daily visits I would need when I returned to work.

Tailchasers is truly amazing, and are absolutely the best dog sitters we have found. Not only do they send you an email when your sitter arrives and leaves your home, but they also send comments about what happened during the visit so you can be sure your pets are being cared for. They offer almost any service you could possible want, and the staff have perfect dispositions for pets (my dogs were instantly at ease the moment they met both Matt, the owner, and our sitter, Mallory). On top of all that, Matt made an excellent recommendation for a harness so I could break my dogs of their habit of pulling during walks. I am able to walk both dogs by myself for the first time ever without worrying about them choking or breaking free, and I have Tailchasers to thank for that! If you are looking for a trustworthy, caring, easy-​to-​use, top-​quality sitter, Tailchasers is the only way to go!

I cannot say enough about the amazing service that is Tailchasers!!! After a stressful experience this spring with another firm «accidentally» letting my indoor-​only cat get outside, and stay there overnight, it became apparent that I needed someone new and that I could fully trust. Matt, the owner, came by for a meet and greet. He was delightful and asked really specific questions about my cat and her needs, even things like «which toys are her favorites to play with?» I felt really great after meeting him! Next, I met my sitter Eric, another amazing guy. I just had my first full week away, and he kept me up to date via text, took care of getting my mail and even swept the floor daily… something I don’t even do! I feel so great now knowing that my cat is well cared for while I am away. Call Tailchasers… you won’t be sorry!!! They are all delightful!!!

Since we switched walkers and got a camera seems like the new walker is doing well and the business owners did what they could to make up for the prior issue. I would still be weary of our old walker but so far things are looking better.

i love Tailchasers– I have been using them since January to walk my 4 year old dog Vinny. Vinny might only be 7 pounds but he acts like a 40 pound dog. Mallory is my walker and she does a wonder job and i always enjoy the notes she leaves about my dog. Also the owners are awesome, I had a great first meeting with Matt and anytime I email Randa she is always so accommodating. I could not be happier!

When my husband was going to be out of state for an extended three month period, and I work long hour daily, I needed a reliable service for walking my dog Jake in the afternoons. I was impressed immediately with the in home visit where they gathered all information about my pup — where his treats, food leashes, towels etc were located. I was also impressed with the flexibility that they offered — if I were to have a later than expected day, they could come for a second visit. While that doesn’t happen often, knowing I have options gives me peace of mind. Another important thing to me was knowing that they are bonded.
I found Tailchasers to be more than reliable — they are professional, friendly, and most importantly Jake, my pup is well cared for and happy. I love the daily report and the extra notes and presents I come home to see (for instance: «Jake went to the groomer I see — looks great!», or «gave Jake extra TLC and played today»). Jake received a stuffed toy for Christmas, and healthy cookies for a Halloween treat :-)
The only improvements that I could see to their services would be offering customers (1)GPS tracked walks, (2) improvements to website scheduling services and (3) crate free boarding services.
I highly recommend Tailchasers and I think if Jake could talk, he would too!

Randa is simply wonderful. She came over to help with my lab mix. He was a little overexcited… all the time. Biggest issue was when people came over. He would lose it, jumping, barking, etc. From the first moment, you can tell she loves animals and is very good with them. She commanded the situation and gave me the hope that he can be trained well. With her guidance (and lots of practice), we got past the issue. She was also more than accommodating if I had a random question (have multiple dogs). Her responses were prompt. She just wants to see her pet friends succeed!

I really can’t say enough good things about Tailchasers, Inc. I live in Hoffman Estates and started working downtown in 2013. This made my days very long and thus the search for a daytime dog walker began. I was surprised how many companies didn’t respond to my inquiry for information. I found Matt & Randa, owners of Tailchasers to be very professional, responsive and reliable.
Phalycia was our dog walker and took such great care of my dogs, Lily & Henry. It gave me such piece of mind to know I could count on her every day to be there, especially with the horrendous winter we had! She was there, rain or shine and did an amazing job, making sure to leave me a note every day regarding the visit.
I highly recommend Tailchasers and am sad to be moving away and no longer using their services.

Tailchasers is downright amazing. I’m sure I’m like most pet owners and get very anxious when you have to leave your beloved pet! My fiancé and I moved up from Texas a year ago, which also means we left all of our pet sitting family behind.
I have a Minpin who can be a hand full so asking someone to watch over her is a little hard! When I found tailchasers on Unilocal and seeing the reviews I decided to give it a chance… And I must say I couldn’t be more thrilled that I did.
The family owned company really makes you feel comfortable with leaving your pet. They are truly amazing and really go the extra mile to make sure you are at ease! Oh and they will even do a pet consultation to make sure your pet feels comfortable with them.

Our sweet kitty had a bad experience last winter with a friend of ours who had always checked in on her while we were away, so for our most recent trip, we figured it was time to look for a professional. Tailchasers was just that! They were professional, organized, and responsive. They made sure our cat got lots of attention, which she loves, and left us detailed notes for each day of the trip. They went out of their way to put our minds at ease, and we came home to a happy kitty! I would definitely recommend Tailchasers to anyone looking for a reliable and trustworthy petsitter!

We used Tailchasers, Inc. starting in January 2012-​March 2013. We used them for both pet-​sitting as well as daily walks for our 15 year old Yorkshire Terrier. Over the last year and half, Tailchasers has taken care of our dog and two cats for 3 week long vacations as well as daily walks/​wellness checks for our senior dog. They are the best, most professional, caring, and responsible pet sitters, we have ever used by far. Unfortunately, we are moving out of the area otherwise we would continue to use their services. We HIGHLY recommend Tailchasers! Their management team, online scheduling, dog walkers — are ALL EXCEPTIONAL! WE JUST LOVE THEM!
We first used Tailchasers in January 2012. We had a family trip planned, but had recently discovered that our 14 year old Yorkshire Terrier, had heart disease. We were extremely nervous to leave him and considered canceling the trip. Fortunately, someone suggested we try Tailchasers. They came to our house and spent lots of time with us. We completed an extensive intake process and by the end of the afternoon I felt quite comfortable with them as did our dog. We went ahead with the trip and they sent me daily text messages letting me know our dog and two cats were fine. In the middle of the trip, there was a snowstorm, but they brought their shovels and still managed to visit/​walk our dog four times a day. When we arrived home, everyone was healthy, happy, and relaxed.
After the success of the trip, we hired Tailchasers for daily walks. Because of our dog’s age and health conditions, he doesn’t walk very far. For me, these visits were more like wellness checks and really put my mind at ease, knowing someone was there to check on him during the day. Dave, our regular walker really seemed to love our dog and always left us notes on the visit. All Tailchasers staff are certified in first aid which also really eased my mind.
In September 2012, we put our house on the market. Tailchasers staff were so helpful during this process — they really went above and beyond the call of duty. Dave would often schedule walks around showings — sometimes even cleaning up messes before the potential buyers arrived. They were also always flexible when we needed to change/​reschedule appointments.
We just LOVE Tailchasers and are so sorry to leave them behind.

I LOVE Tailchasers! They are great people and very accommodating! They really love animals and offer a wide range of services, including online appointment setting!

I wish I’d wrote a review sooner because I am sure I’m forgetting good points to mention, but in a nutshell: I love Tailchasers.
In late February/​March, I went out of town on business for nearly 3 weeks. I contacted Tailchasers to look after my cat, Lennon, while I was away. They were very responsive and had someone out to visit Lennon and I the next day.
I met with Matt who was friendly, informative, and really responsive. I told him everything I needed and he went back to the office and populated my profile on their site — that’s it. I didn’t have to do anything else!
Jamie was the cat sitter looking after Lennon; she was great! She sent me text messages every day she visited Lennon, and even contacted me to let me know when my power went out for a few days. She was so good to Lennon, playing with him and giving him lots of love. She also left me notes of Lennon’s day and time spent with her. I could really tell that Jamie cared about Lennon, not just as a client, but as a pet and a member of my family.
Sadly, shortly after my trip, I moved to the city and out of the limits of Tailchasers.
I highly recommend Tailchasers to everyone!
